Which cases did you solve before Conan?

I haven't solved many, and they're mostly AOs. Surely some of you can put my list to shame.

Although a few times I noticed a pattern in the culprits and I just made a pretty educated guess and I was right.

I don't always try to solve the mystery before him, but every once in a while I'll make a good guess as to who the culprit is.  (For example:  The Holmes Freak Murder.)

Mostly, I speculate and am generally wrong.  Every once in a while, though, I'll get it right.

These cases are relatively easier to figure out compared to others... I think the Final "Aah" was the fastest case I figured out...

I had some difficulties on this one but I think I got it before it was revealed...

Can't remember other cases at the moment...

Off the top of my head, I remember completely solving The Fishing Tournament Tragedy (352-353), and I also nailed that case involving mahjong and those guys planning out a perfect crime together (533-535). I have solved others (The AO's recently have been incredibly easy,) but not as many as most other people here, I think...

I think almost all canon cases are legitimately solvable with a bit of research into the folklore/art//hobby/science involved. Conan has an unfair encyclopedic knowledge off all sorts of odd stuff, but research can compensate (and the manga gives you time, unlike single anime episodes). I saw where Aoyama was going with the "half-kill" story after a bit of research. I figured out Eisuke's blood type change (I was over specific, though, positing a port/catheter scar... I guess the Japanese trust their med techs not to screw up sternal biopsies and get sued for it where Americans don't... then again Conan gave his explanation in Conan mode, he might have been intentionally vague).

The "Conan's hints" for the multi-part part anime episodes can be dead giveaways, too. (I remember solving the dubbed cases Bandage Man down to the fat suit and Hatomoto Luxury Liner down to the kissing cousin motive because of the hints... (Heh, and .Hack:DUSK and Koi Kaze getting a lot of forum noise at the time helped for the latter one, too.))

Well, a lot of times you can't get the motive, especially in the AOs, where they just throw in "he took advantage of my sister's love for him to steal all her money and drive her into debt and if I had only known she was in trouble I could have prevented her from committing suicide on her birthday three years ago" at the last second really fast, like the fine print at the end of a car commercial. When I say "solve," I really mean culprit and method.

same here I see the same thing happen for motive to often which make it easier for me to figure it out

I can usually get most of it for AO's (TIP: the culprit is, a lot of the time, the person who seems least suspicious or the best looking person) but for the manga, the most I can generally figure out is the culprit.

for me the AO cases the suspect is the person I most hope is not the killer

Usually any case that follows the typical pattern I can solve. Cute nice girl is the killer if one appears, if an incident is only mentioned once, then the cute girl/killer is proabaly the daughter or something of the vaguely mentioned dead guy. Most of the time just figure out which suspect has had the most face time. The methods of alibi are usually trickier for me to solve, so I only figure out mostly AO's on that front, but as far as knowing who the killer is, I tend to not have a problem with that lately, and I'm more happy to find out I'm wrong becasue I usually bet on the lame pattern above.

Also, I'm getting annoyed with knowing whose going to die like ten minutes before they do in way too many cases, does every person in these cases (where Conan and the gang meet like 5 people somewhere) always have to go on and on about how everyone around them sucks and how they are so awesome, then end their lives being huge pains?
