Hey everyone.  Since I've been here, I've seen so many advertisements for the upcoming Detective Conan movie, through television and in the stores nearby me.  With the preview I just saw last night on television, I'm even more interested in seeing the movie (even though my Japanese sucks). lol

So, does anyone have any experience with going to see this type of a movie in Japan?

lol!  I don't think I'd have to worry about that...seeing as how I'm "female" and all, and wouldn't expect a guy to be tying something like that around my cup. lol

Anyway, I saw Movie 12 in theatres.  It's like any other movie in Japan (you pick a seat when you buy the ticket).  One thing I'd suggest: if you have a student ID, even if it's American, use it.  Some places give a MASSIVE discount.  I got almost 50% off the ticket price at the theatre I went to in Kyoto.

Wow, now if I were only 5 - 10 years younger. lol

I guess I should've mentioned my age.  I want to see the movie in theatre, but at the same time feel odd because of my age, the fact that I'm foreign, and the fact that it's animated.

When scenes get extremely foolish, how does the audience react? Do they laugh?
I mean when they see a kid jumping from one building to another (movie 5 ) how do they respond?
I can't remember if there were any foolish scenes in movie 12 but hey....it's a Conan movie o_o.

I have seen Movie 13 in theaters  . It's fun how you got to watch all the actions in wide screen. I watched it in a hotel we were staying on, so only a few people (about 7-10 Japanese ppl) were in the same cinema as my sister and I were. Actually, I didn't exactly saw them reacting at all throughout the whole movie, but I indeed saw them react when the 14th movie was confirmed.  Oh, and in the hotel we were staying on, 1 person = 1000yen. Too bad I didn't bring my student ID with me at that time. So, my sister and I payed it full, which was totally depressing cuz we were planning on buying some DCM13 merchandise they had there. But in the end we bought a lot of DC stuffs there too, thanks to my parents :3
