Your talking about DC right?  :D

I love our plot and the only problem I have with it is the fact that i wish it could move a little...LOL.
Detective Conan's fillers have made the show boring, Right now all I can do is wait for the long awaited black organization episodes or any other special episodes such as Kaito kid. Through my eyes the series started falling noticeably ever since episode 505. However watching a long and successful series like this, we must remember that a thing like this is normal. Besides were not the only one aren't we?  ;)

Nevermind, I take it back. Detective Conan's getting better (Just marathoned 556-570)

WTH? What's wrong with your head? I still can't get over this sentence.

Fine, to make things clearer after Marathon 14 episodes Detective Conan remained steady through my eyes. I took back the comment I posted awhile back because after marathoning these 14 episodes I felt that old nostalgic DC feeling just like in the old episodes. Just relax and don't expect anything superb each episode, Instead just watch it for fun and of course relax. Trust me, I did this and I realized that Detective Conan is still the same. Sure it hasn't improved (my bad) but it hasn't decreased either. If Detective Conan decreased in any way it's definitely not obvious IMO.

(I marathoned 556-570 because I came back from vacation)

I'd definitely say it has gotten worse recently, simply because the sheer AO to Manga episodes ratio is incredibly high.  Well, when I want to watch a tv show, I do expect it to be superb, otherwise i wouldn't be watching it.  That's like saying to watch a shit show just "for fun".

I swear, if they bring back the old soundtrack, the show would improve vastly!  And is it just me, or has the show gone a little more "kid-friendly" than it has been before?  Maybe it's just the new art style?  Like the nostalgic I am, nothing will ever beat the first 200ish episodes.

Agreed there. I missed in 570 to the point where it distracted me from the episode.

And is it just me, or has the show gone a little more "kid-friendly" than it has been before?

Santa-san is adequate proof. You know, fun is one thing--I always want DC to be good-natured toward the kids in the audience--but what I'm afraid of is that in the AOs (and even in the manga lately), "kid-friendly" is morphing into

Spoiler:
no balls

which equals slow, painful death for any TV show, because the kids will sense it and even they will lose interest (Exhibit A: Pokemon.). The greusome episodes we were discussing in another thread are far more kid-friendly than the recent run of AOs have been, simply because the kids weren't being patronized to.

Okay, let's say aside from all those AO episodes. Would DC still decrease?

You must not be a standard anime fan, cause the ones I know have an absurdly high tolerance for awfulness. Like, I have met people online that watch a new series every other day to completion, just so they can say they've seen yet another series. They rarely admit how bad the shows are, but deep down... Yes, they know. :-X

Indeed. It's good to be honest with oneself.
Detective Movies Contest 2013: Information Thread  Current Faceoff

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

I am an anime fan and a regular one too. I wrote a honest comment on my 3rd favorite show (Detective Conan) a few days back. Then afterwards I decided to do a little Marathon and since I was in such a relaxed mood after the trip (Idk okay? I just felt that old Conan feeling and i'm guessing my relaxed state was the reason behind it) I realized that Conan was still the same. I mean it's not like it was better than my favorite section (200 - 350) in fact it's no where close to it. However Detective Conan definitely isn't going superdeduperdee down. Well that's just my opinion after marathoning 14 episodes. I wrote an honest statement and now I'm taking it back. Everyone views Conan differently and I just happen to be one of those people who see it differently in comparison to others.

I wouldn't have written that post I made a few days back if I was biased and unhonest with myself. That's my opinion and I know majority of the people in this topic think the exact opposite. The post I wrote a few days ago was a honest statement from a Conan fan and same goes for the last one. Srsly Jd- I really love you and all but that post of yours stabbed me in the heart. <--- Joke, except for "Srsly Jd- I really love you and all" I really meant that.   ;)

I'm more of a fan of a certain unintentionally hilarious moment in the subbed version.

Well this topic has become kinda off topic...

...time to do what I originally was gonna do before I realized there would be actual intelligent discussions in this topic...
