Actually, it's kinda interesting to me that the last episode was fun but the case itself was mostly stupid and this case was good but was mostly boring as hell.

I suppose it saves the animators from having to add strategically placed steam effects. Google indicates a scattered few baths do require bathing suits in Japan, but they seem to mostly be mixed gender baths.

Well, that could theoretically work I guess.  Ran was able to see the other people from where she was bathing, so they obviously would've been able to see her as well.  Guess that's a good enough excuse.
