I´ve just rewatched one of my favourite episodes and I found out something odd: in the trick explanation at the end it is said that after using a ruler tu stab the victim, you cut the rope so that the masks are blown away. My question is what happens to the rope? For me at least a part of the rope stays inside the room because it was attached to the knife, but none was found.

Another minor thing that maybe I didn´t really see it, is that when Conan tells Kogoro to check up the desk to use the tranquilizer watch, the chair is backwards, but then it is on the right position for Kogoro to sit on it. Most probably it´s a mistake of mine.

I've noticed several inconsistencies...but don't worry, it's fiction and it's anime. That was still quite an entertaining case.

The rope thing is elastic right? It's looped through, so if you just cut one side, you can pull the other side, and retrieve the rope.
