If you were forced to choose 50 consecutive Conan episodes (ie 1-50, 71-120, etc;) and those were the only ones you could watch, which band of episodes would you choose?

For me, it would be be either 144-193 or 296-345 (even though I haven't seen a lot of those). The best episodes are from around 140-210 and 144-193 includes some of the nice cases 140s and 150s while also snaring Desparate Revival. 296-345 has Dark Contact and 345 which are my #1 and #3 favorite plot cases (176-178 being #2) so they get picked for that reason.

I actually haven't seen those episodes (not subbed yet, right?)- I just think 345 is a nice resolution 346-347 is a decent case, but arc is over with 345; 346-347 is just a prologue.

easily 129-178. Especially since there are only a few AOs and they are pretty much all great (at least for AOs).

I actually haven't seen those episodes (not subbed yet, right?)- I just think 345 is a nice resolution 346-347 is a decent case, but arc is over with 345; 346-347 is just a prologue.

Since it explains some questions left by 345 and doesn't really introduce anything that leads into the "Cell Phone arc", I'd put it as more denouement/epilogue for the previous arc than prologue for the next.

1-50 is my vote.

The 300-350 is a close second, with 129-179 as my third.

I can live without super awesome BO plot and best char in the story Haibs, but I loved the first 100 episodes of the show.  Had the best cases, incredibly jazz 90's soundtrack, and I just really liked the atmosphere.

The show has definitely changed since the first 200 episodes.

I'm sure there are others as well, but  these are the ones I remember.
