Movie 3: I really need to watch this one again, but this was a great Kid-related case. I sort of liked the cheesy ending too.

Movie 4: It was very cute. The romance was as schmaltzy as hell, but I really enjoyed this movie. I liked the police-related plot as well; I felt that group characters weren't used all that much until then.
Movie 5: Excellent. The tone, mystery, and the overall execution made it hard to stop watching.
The In-Between:
Movie 1: Average. It was neither bad nor great, but it was enjoyable. I felt that the motive and culprit were too obvious.
Movie 2: Not bad and the premise was neat (as were the name/number puns), but I felt like the whole plot fell apart at the end.
Movie 6: Mixed feelings. Pretty fun watch with a neat integration of Sherlock and good ideas, but I felt the use of Jack the Ripper was ham-handed and the use of virtual reality seemed ridiculous. I know that the real Ripper murders aren't light enough for a British cozy detective like Holmes and far too graphic for children, but he seemed to be added into the plot for the sake of being a well-known figure that would be involved with the main villain somehow (and even Ripper's connection to the villain was grasping at straws).
Movie 7: Gave Heiji more spotlight, which was a big plus. I didn't care too much for the plot or mystery though. I tried, but I really couldn't.
The Worst:
Movie 8: Wanted to like it. Really did. But it was a serious sleeper; I nearly didn't finish watching this movie because I was so bored with it.
Movie 10: Shit. Shitshitshitshitshit. The Hype Machine Marketing that was set up as the great 10th anniversary production was the only thing this movie was riding on. Seriously. Combine that with trying to jam almost every single character into the plot and set out loose threads that lead to disappointing conclusions or go nowhere in particular.
Movie 11: As bad as the 10th in my opinion. The idea of a pirate/history-based plot is alright, but this would have been better suited as an OVA or two-parter in the series. The extent to which this mystery was stretched out was really ridiculous. The villains only served to be ridiculous knuckle-dragging thugs after fortune and hold the token girls hostage.
I haven't seen Movies 12 or 13 yet, so I can't exactly say what I think about those.
