And he hadnt to decide between ran and the cases, because ran isnt against his"detective side", she LOVES his "detective side"..

I think Ran hates his "detective side" more than she loves it
And I agree: He cares about her more than his own life.

Misztina wrote:For those who haven't read, James Rye wrote very interesting things about Shinichi's character and stuff in the Ai+Conan thread, which also contained some ShinxRan things as well. My reply to that was't fitting for an Ai-Coan topic, so I'll put it here.

Misztina wrote:Anyways a bigger or more obvious change in Shinichi's character would be that he would put his feelings in the first place. If that happens that will mark the end of DC. I keep returning to Desperate Revival, because it was almost like an ending to DC. Ran let him go to do his job and he almost went back a told her his feelings. Somehow I cannot really imagine this scene in the future. If Shinichi really wants to get together with Ran he will have to make a better balance between cases and love-life. In my opinion at least. But sometimes I feel Gosho himself is a bit "old-fashioned" and won't cross the current boundaries of DC stories.
) but at the restaurant where he wanted to tell her something "really important", at the first time he heard the scream he wasn´t with her anymore though he really fighted hard not to
), so well why to held him at her side when he isn´t able to concentrate at her properly? Yeah, that´s sound hard and unfair, but i would have liked it when he would have acted more like an adult and said that it´s too noisy here and Megure and Tagaki aren´t amateurs, they can solve a case once all by themself too and that they better go to another place for the thing he wanted to tell her.
Misztina wrote:In the end I'm sure he will defeat the BO with the help of others, but he will have his "I got you"-moment when everyone is amazed by Shinichi. What I really wonder about is that what will happen between him and Ran.
Surely, the whole series is about Shinichi's "genious" plan "I'll tell her myself in the end", but I wouldn't wonder if Ran told him: "I knew it, you silly". That is why I don't expect that Ran will find out who Shinichi is until the end is really near. It is a pity, but that's DC's story. However there was a nice case in Volume 38 if I remember crrectly about Wlfface and identities and heh... it seems like Conan needs to be "defeated" in order to reveal his true identity. Maybe his mask will fall off when he thinks Ran is dead (but she is not of course) and then happy ending. But who will make him loose his face? Kogoro? That would be a shock. O.O Or the boss of the BO?

I really dont think that she hates his detective side.. She just says it. But if you see the episodes, you can notice that she likes his art, like kazuha does with heijis detective side. But they behave like they dont like it. IN MY OPINION
Shinichi aad Ran wooves each other. End of story.

I don't get it. So if I'm a ShinRan fan I have to like the Shiragami case?

conia wrote:This is exactly how I imagine how Conan would feel in that situation, but I can't see him doing nothing, I see him trying to fight, trying to get on his feet again to solve a case again.
