Why would he bribe someone to do the crime? He doesn't have to do anything and a murder just happens on its own. The way Yusaku proposed to Yukiko was good but wouldn't that be kind of boring for Shinichi just to follow him and do exact the same? Sounds pretty unoriginal to me. XD

The antidote is not completely developed yet, and there's no way of knowing when it loses its effectiveness. The antidote just happens to lose its effectiveness when Shinichi is about to go back and confess. What a terrible timing, I would say.

True, but scientists DON'T test the drugs they develop on themselves. That's what the lab mice are for. Sounds really cruel but that's the sacrifice we'll have to do to advance in science. So now we have where and how, the only question remaining is when. When do you think Shinichi will propose?
