Wasn't that only in the movie? Gosho has never officially made the anything that happened in the movies canon soI don't really think there's an alternative to the restaurant where his father proposed.

Yeah it was only in the movie but you never know what he would really do. Didn't you say that you have came to the believe that the movies are kind of DC? Or did I get that wrong? But either, Tropical Land seems like a fun amusement park to me.

Actually there's a moment on the manga, when Ran is remembering when she was the only one who can go weith the children to that Kamen Yaiba thing XD and all the kids went and Ran started to remember while she was walking alone and then Conan appeared and did the same thing that Shinichi didi with the soda :3 I wish I could search for it but I don't have time :/

Edit@KaitoGirl95: I thought there was something like that but wasn't sure. It might have been in vol 4. In fact, I'm positive it is. So movie 4 actually picked up this tidbit about their history together and elaborated on it. Still, the restaurant seems like the superior choice.

Yeah, I know. That's why when you asked me to show you the psychological development of Ran, I started off with DC (manga/anime), and that's why I later asked you if I could include the movies.

I actually don't believe in movies. Yes, a lot of stuff make sense, but I just can't get over the fact that they're actually not written by Gosho, so that's why I don't count them, when using the pairing argument, I mean.

Oh and you never answer my question about Kaito Kid. Does Kaito Kid really know Conan's identity in DC?

We can say two things for sure:
He knows that
a)Conan is an incredibly able detective.
b)He has feelings for Ran.

This doesn't really mean that he knows who Conan is, but I'm sure he has his doubts. Actually, in this case only the movies provide us with definite proof and the fact that it ties in well doesn't make it the truth. I should've been more cautious.

From his first appearance, Kid disguises as Ran, and after fleeing from Conan, he shows Ran's dress/outfit to Conan, meaning the real Ran was wearing nothing! So Conan rushes to find Ran instead of giving chase to Kid.

Oh yeah I remember that. But wouldn't a normal kid do that he knows that his beloved sister is practically wearing nothing? Plus, Kid disappears right after he tells Conan that Ran is wearing nothing, and he actually jumps off the ship and swims to reach the shore, so Conan has no way of catching/chasing him anyway.

Okay, the short description you gave sounds really interesting. XD

Anyway, before I read that, here's what I think how Shinichi should propose.

Since Shinichi is a pretty shy person, he probablu won't say it stargith-forwardly. As a result, Shinichi and Ran would sit across from each other at a fancy restaurant (probably the one from before), then he would try to distract Ran by talking to her and keeping her attention on his face. Then he would discretely slip a ring in his glass of water, without Ran knowing of course, and slowly, carefully, push the glass in front of Ran's area. Then, as Ran looks down on the table when they finish talking, she would discover the glass of water with a ring in it. Then she would look at Shinichi and blushes, and Shinichi would say "Will you marry me?" or Ran could ask Shinichi "Are you asking me to marry you" or something like that. And then, Ran would say yes to him and they will blush the whole time as they leave the restaurant, and they will move on to plan the wedding!!! Sorry if it's way too romantic~ XD
