Not (may I dare say it) Ai, not Vermouth, not some random hot girl in the street that he saved from a car, and definitely not Ayumi. Why? Because Gosho supports ShinRan. Want proof? Read every file of the manga and watch the movies. Now let's all go get some pizza.

I really hope it will be like you say. In the last months I get seriously depressed for a LONG time when I even think about the possibility of Gosho deciding to do a favor to those people who hate "traditional" happy endings and want something "original" even in love stories and want Conan to end up with Ai without giving a damn about love between childhood friends being the most tender and sublime one. I would give a year of my life to know if the AiCons are the majority in Japan. I heard Gosho isn't one who lets himself being influenced by fans too much, but big money is involved here, so if the AiCons are the majority and he decides to align himself with them for commercial reasons... I don't even want to think about it.
I may sound like a crybaby, but I just needed to complain to somebody, since the depression caused by the number of AiCons is almost unbearable.

I don't think this will happen. I think it would be very weird to make all this ShinRan episodes, and even Shinichi confessing to Ran, and then making him leave her.
Dwalin wrote:Most of romantic ideals, like first love which lasts for the whole live, unfortunately aren't popular today. Romantic stories about childhood friends with happy endings are very rare, Shinichi + Ran is one of the few examples, most of the stories are like Shinichi + Shiho and feature people who met each other as grown-ups and are more rough than childhood friends stories which are more innocent because formed in an innocent period of life.
Dwalin wrote:Nevertheless, even though their kind of stories make at least 99% of the romantic stories of this world, to the AiCons it’s not enough and they want to destroy one of the last remaining examples of a first love ideal. That’s what I find so sad, the fact that it seems 99% is not enough for them, they want EVERYTHING without leaving to us admirers of first love stories anything to console ourselves with. :(
As long as you find something to enjoy in the story, no one else can change that. The only one who can change it is you: if you let the words sink in, it'll effect your enjoyment. Instead, just smile and say "I can understand that you feel differently than I do, but you can understand I feel differently than you, right? So...valid points or whatever, I'll still like what I like."
...or they get lost.

The only one who can change it is Gosho. And it matters to me what people think because if the AiCons become too many, I fear Gosho might decide to do them a favor.
I'll just leave this here again:sonoci wrote:Some moments I don't like ... some moments I even cringe at - but will that ever change the moments I do like?
Nope. I liked 'em once, I'll like them forever. Nothing anyone can say will ever change that. If I watch a ShinRan scene I like, I won't let any words or insults or criticism sink in, I'll just watch it. I'll just enjoy it.
Treating fellow fans of the same show like they're the enemy doesn't make much senseDwalin wrote:The only one who can change it is Gosho. That's why I am so nervous and often seem aggressive, but I don't want to offend anybody, honestly.
