btw what would you define as an 'ordinary' DC fan?

The definition I can give to this will be based on local scenario acceptance of DC

Ordinary DC fan - those who watches DC only on local TV (stated differently, you watch it because it's part of the programming) and do not search for alternative sources... Something like that I guess...

Considering the way that the descriptions go, I qualify as "Ultimate". Not sure if I would have actually classed myself that way if not for the descriptions, but the main reason that I think it's a bit much is that I only discovered DC about 3 1/2 years ago. I have, however, been completely obsessed with it ever since. I went from "never read or saw anything DC" to "caught up to current chapter of the manga" between about March and May of '06, and by the end of the year I was also completely caught up on the available anime episodes and movies (I think...). Ever since, I've been right on top of following the manga and anime, reading lots of DC/MK fanfiction (and yes I've read all of MK). I also go into exacting detail about certain things, have a reasonable memory for episode numbers of particular cases (especially my favorite ones) and listen to Conan music all the time (almost to the exclusion of other music I have available).
My NaNo 2014 project is a crossover fanfic with Persona 4 and Detective Conan! This year I'm sending the detective from Persona 4 to find out what happened to Shinichi.

I'm between Veteran and Die-hard because lately i check this site before I check any other site and this is the only manga I have continued reading (besides Book Club). I also keep up with the episodes. I started re-watching this anime last year, and started reading the manga last year, so I have a basic knowledge, but I haven't been into it that long. Still, i feel I love it already and have my favorite characters and episodes. But i still have a hard time remembering some episodes. I only remember the ones I like....

Die-hard, 'cause in my opinion the Ultimates are the one who have memorized ALL ops and eds IN ORDER or something like that. Or someone who's been following DC since it started. I fit neither criteria :P
No amount of apologies will express how much I regret it.

Die hard for me.

I doubt anyone can really claim to be an ultimate fan. There's awful lot of officially licensed material that's been released over the years to keep track of to even reference. Maybe there are some with perfect knowledge of the mainline anime and manga (though I kinda doubt that too), but not of ALL the video games, live action shows, novels, audio skits, special version manga, Conan Drill, Love Conan and the Super Digest books, and probably other stuff that exists that I've never even heard about or forgotten.

Based on those definitions, I'd have to go with veteran.

acording to the definitions I would've been a veteran until two or three months ago - after I rewatched and reread the whole thing I guess I'm a Die-hard, 'am kinda rewatching it yet again and am at the moment not really interested in any other manga/anime(besides stuff I've been reading/watching before this DC madness XD)

I guess i´m die-hard. I´m since 9 years a DC-fan, not long enough to be a veteran. I´m not an ulti-freak cause i don´t remember all the DC-stuff. And newbie...nope.^g^

Funny poll btw. ;)

I'm not surprised that up until this moment, noone voted for newbie... I guess participating in specific anime forum like DCTP necessitates the fundamentals of the series...

Veteran, while I do know some details I don't think I'm more passionate about DC then other fans around here xD.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

I'm definitely a die-hard DC fan.
I've only watched the show about half way up to date! :o

veteran. I'd say I'm a pretty average DC fan, aside from the fact that I'm posting on a forum about it, I can't really list off episodes by number and all that jazz and stuff. Maybe if I hadn't watched it at the speed I did, all the episodes sort of blurred together for me.
