Rate yourself! DC Otaku-meter

Postby CoolKid3 » September 7th, 2009, 11:49 pm

Kindly rate your interest with DC / exposure to DC...
I hope the following description help you in picking your choice...

Newbie DC Otaku - DC is only recently introduced and you feel the DC world is still foreign to you; Interest on DC is just recently growing

Veteran DC Otaku -  you've been exposed to DC & surpassed the familiarity stage  and you are trying to explore more on DC; Interest on DC is quite steady

Die-hard DC Otaku -  you've substantially gained the basic knowledge on DC and mastered some details of DC (especially those details that made you love DC) ; Your passion for DC is far greater than an ordinary DC fan

DC Ultimate Otaku - you can answer any DC question thrown to you or you've been so exposed to DC you can easily find the source episode (if ever you can't give the answer right away); DC is your LIFE

Can't really answer that. I have knowledge about DC, but I have no passion to DC and it's obviously not my life. True, this manga/anime is one of my favorites and is no way near like other animes I saw (because others suck...) but still it's only an anime...

Isn't posting here in DCTP part of your passion for DC? Maybe it's just me or maybe others will (dis)agree with me... I can't really find persons in real life (I mean not online) who are hardcore DC fanatics so I joined DCTP and I believe joining DCTP forum is part of my passion for DC....

No no, posting in a forum is to just share opinions about things you like and also to voice myself because I don't have any friends in my life and I want someone to hear me out  :'( (I'm kidding here)

It's true that it shows that I do have some passion but it's not so special if you like something then you go to a place where they talk about it.
Most of the time that I post is just because I don't really have anything else to do at the moment (actually I do but I keep delaying it for later...)

Yah the definition of passion varies for each person... What I consider passionate may not yet be passionate for you and vice versa...

Veteran.

I've been exposed to DC for too long and I learned the basic know-hows.

But still, I only remember the things that interest me, so if you're gonna ask me a hard question I doubt I can answer it fast. I kinda have mild short-term memory loss.

I'm caught between Veteran and Die-hard. :P  I have 50+ books both English and Japanese, am attached to the characters, it's one of the few manga I still follow and I've been following the series for quite a while but I'm not an absolute fanatic.  I'm normally pretty laid back aside from what I've already listed.

Wow, that's difficult to say...

I'm exactly between "Die-Hard" and "Ultimate Fan", maybe (but just maybe) a little bit more "Die-Hard" because it isn't my life but my second one.  ;D ;D
