**** I'm hype as ****!!!!!!!!!
and it's realease on Friday the 13th!!!!!!

fun thing also, end of December they will air the Poirot case with Heiji and Amuro
981.Crawling time in Cafe Poirot
982.The engagement from Cafe Poirot
983.In solving the mystery at Cafe Poirot

so in a way it is like Heiji (movie 21) handing over the movie main role to Amuro (Movie 22)

but noe I just have a ton of questions of Rum's identity and how that plays into the whole plot.....Rum's identity will be revealed before this movie or after? that changes the whole movie

So is every other Conan movie gonna focus on plot characters now? I mean, I'm fine with that based on how Movies 18 and 20 were, but it's kinda weird considering how huge the gap used to be (I think 5 and 13 were the only ones before 18).

21 focus: Heiji/ Kazuha/ Momiji
19 focus: KID

so yeah ever since movie 18 every movie after that is character driven, which is good I think.
Movie 18 really did it for Conan movie history, it had action, complicated case (a great and satisfying puzzle to solve), and the biggest shock of all-revealing central manga plots even before the manga (Akai and Mary)
So after that the movie and manga sort of goes together now instead of separate. It's more fun for fans as there are teases through out and generates interest for the movie.

Side note for some reason I just knew the poster was going to be green. :D 21red, 20blue, 19red/brown, 18lightred, 17blue, 16brown, 15blue, 14green
we hadn't had a green poster since 2010!!!! :P
I just imagined the poster to be a green Amuro and YAAAAASSSS it is! (But I didn't realized there were so many other characters, it's basically a official movie poster already except it's only a sketch)
Please don't mess up the official poster with tons of "not main" characters! Conan movie posters have been going crazy and getting messier as years go by. Movie 18 while a great movie had the worst poster, a ton of faces montaged that's it

So just for fun, I looked into what else the director has done. And it's kinda hilarious, because half of what he's done is directing an episode or two in every 1/3 popular anime of the past 6 years. And considering this includes a top-tier episode in both Kill la Kill and Steins;Gate, I consider that a very good sign.

The stuff surrounding the culprit in M18 was handled really well.

Is that based on the sign at the bottom right ? Because that's just a part of Gosho's signature.
That was the joke Waka :P

The real face will be revealed in the movie !

The poster looks really good and...

-Yup. That's what I think too. I just hope they don't make this shaky type of animation that everything has to move all the time, the frame, the characters. Especially when Amuro will be fighting someone (of course he will be), because that didn't look so great in M20 in my opinion.
-I'm thinking about that sign "Is that your truth?" Does it mean anything for the plot? Any ideas anybody?
-And it seems it won't be one of these "different, unique location" movies. I mean it looks like they won't go to any other city, Tropical Land, a plane, a ship or whatever and these movies are quite rare (the last one was M18? i think).
- But we'll get DBs, Haibara, Kuroda. :) I don't want them to explain the relationship between Amuro and him in a movie, but if they do it well, why not? The same situation with Haibara's mother and Rei.

Depends on its execution. M20 had numerous problems due to how the focus was more on fanservice (the opening car chase, Rei and Akai's fight) than on having a coherent plot (Kir shouldn't be listed as CIA because even American agencies had trouble getting that info, Akai should be trying to stay hidden, why would the PSB not have Rei's information better hidden, etc.).

However, a spy film could work if it's handled a certain way, regarding the tone and Detective Conan being a mystery series- a focus on investigation and observation, which is subtler and closer to how most real life spies operate.

In reality, both are one of the worst movies in my opinion. I do explained my opinion about that movie in its thread that been closed. I didn't understand any point from that movie at all, is that movie to make us scared from Ghost Rum? Or to see the most stupid fight around th world? Or to see conan who is in my opinion have two faces; because he is leaving who he wants and only catch what he wants? Or too see the one who really disappointed me i mean Gin, or to see Vermouth who easly become one of my hate character, surely i always love jodie more than vermouth but still both really dissapointed me.

I this movie, they only want us to love bourbon even if they do know that what they made with is extremely stupid, and he is one of the worst human ever. I do not have any hope for this documentary movie. Yes, you can say that movie number two is for kogoro mori, but there was a really planned story, and very well events, but this movie is more for history, it is really documentary boring movie. You will see the same with movie two, but still there was a story. Here, no

Although I do respect you and that you have your own opinions,

I think you are judging the movie way to soon, We still don't know what the story is going to be and how it will play out. I understand you hate the character Bourbon and that he having a big role in the movie seems horrible to you, but I think you might want to be patient and wait for the movie to come out then judge it as you like. I would recommend you at least wait for the trailer, it might catch your interest in one way or another. I personally don't judge movie until I watch them, and since we are different people with different opinions I know that we will disagree on many things.

It's true that time has taken a toll on Conan and its character development, but many of the recent manga file and episodes are not bad, and are enjoyable. Conan does seem more focused on Rum on the moment and not the BO as a whole, but since he barely has any information, he has to cling on the information he has on hand for the moment.

I honestly disliked bourbon for a while, when I learned he was a spy, because I wanted a real BO member. However, I actually like him, and think that he might have a great role in the future, especially when it comes to haibara, I am hoping he might help her learn more about her mother at least.
