Hi! I have a few questions here:
Any information known about Bourbon's parents, yet?
Also, Anybody found Superintendent Kuroda to be a little too suspicious?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

We don't know much about Bourbon's past apart that he once met Elena Miyano and was in the police academy before joining the PSB Security Division and infiltrating the BO.

Kuroda is a mystery: he's only appeared twice and what we know about him is sketchy. He could be a red herring character for all we know.

Hope this was of help!

At the end of Movie 12 (the Movie 13 preview), what does Gin say? I know that the second part of what he says is "It's the appropriate day for him to die...", but, before that, the first part's subtitles are nearly impossible to read. In fact, I think the subtitles are literally in Japanese kanji, after enhancing the image. What's the first part of what Gin says?
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”
“Education never ends... it is a series of lessons, with the greatest for the last.”

Okay, I have a seemingly random question (which I've actually got a reason for asking).
In the original Japanese manga case (and subsequent anime episode) where Kir texts Rum's name to Subaru, was it the English "RUM" or Japanese characters?

I checked my copy of Volume 85, and it’s RUM. After he expressively speaks of アルファベットの3文字 ‘3 letters of the alphabet’, Akai again says RUM while even showing the message RUM.

So a Japanese reader would know the English spelling of the word.

anytime a word from a foreign language is spoken in a dialogue bubble its almost always given the Japanese pronunciation beside it in Katakana.
So they would get the correct foreign spelling from the word itself as its printed, and the japanese spelling from the katakana.

I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.

Aah... Anyone know in which prefecture does the Yuki-Onna case take place? Or the name of the inspector on the case? I've tried reading the manga, scrolling DC-Wiki and stuff but can't seem to find the info...

I think it's not specified. Like in a recent case it could be anywhere. Sometimes in flasback cases Gosho has made up new locations (maybe to avoid to draw "young" officers we know of).

In this case, the prefecture was specified, it takes place in the Yamagata Prefecture.

Like some other minor inspectors, the inspector of this case is never named iirc.
