Re: DC Question and Answer Thread - Have a question? Get an answer here
hi,
I just don't understand why "55-45" means "go go yoko" in japanese (the episode "ran's suspicions"). can everyone explain how to build japanese words with the numbers? I've learned a.e. "4 = yon", "5 = go", how can "45" mean "yoko"? ~

5 - go
4 - yon
5 - go
Remove the "n" from "yon" and change the "g" in "go" to a "k," and you've got, "Go go Yoko."
While we're on the subject, let's tackle a password from Detectives' Nocturne (796–800/571–574):
5 - go
5 - go
6 - roku
3 - san
change the "g" in "go" to a "k," remove the "ku" in "roku," and you've got, "Kogoro-san."

If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

In other words they're not even supposed to be exact matches.

No he just has the storyboard of the ending in his head. He hasn't drawn it.GIANLU5777 wrote:In the web i've read about something which kinda scares me.. Is it true that Gosho has ALREADY written and drawn the story final? If so, i need a more important info..

Hey all!
I figured this would be the best place to ask, but please redirect me if I am in the wrong place!
Several years ago here, there was this massive PDF with all of the episode names, who had subbed them, etc. I know the DCTP is no longer releasing episodes etc. I just was wondering if anyone had an updated list or if the list still even existed. The version I have is up to 2009. I'm not looking for the who subbed it part. I know the episodes are listed on the wiki etc, but I loved how this PDF version was downloadable and had the information for which case file the episode was based on and when it originally aired in Japan. It was just wonderfully convenient to keep track of the episodes!
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello. My comment is actually an inquiry about a Detective Conan episode. There is a scene where Conan gets really angry when he overhears a man insulting Ran. But actually the man had been talking about Sonoko, not Ran.
I can't remember anything else, not even the case of that episode. If anyone will be so kind as to tell me which episode this could be from, I'd be grateful!
The photo is this one (remove spaces) http:// media.photobucket.com/user/Sherryxx/media/shinichi.jpg.html?filters [term]=shinichi%20kudo&filters [primary]=images&filters [secondary]=videos&sort=1&o=10
I will remove this comment once I get an answer, but I am desperate as I've looked everywhere.
Thank you and sorry!

It's Episode 32 "Coffee Shop Murder Case" aka Eri's introduction case. Oh, and you probably should've just posted in this topic, which is specifically for answering questions and not in seven unrelated topics.ConanAccountant wrote:I can't remember anything else, not even the case of that episode. My question is from Movie 5. I was just wondering why Ran's 10 years older version was not shown in the movie? While everyone was raving about how pretty she looked? I mean, that's obvious, because she's the prettiest, but I've seen the movie yet I wasn't able to spot it?
What could be the point of not showing that?
And if they do show, then someone please tell me the time so that I can watch the movie again and see for myself too.
Thank You!!

@ConanAccountant: it could be as simple as that the movie staff wanted to leave it up to each viewer's imagination.

Gosho drew Ayumi's seventeen year-old self in that movie, but I think Gosho, even in 2001, wanted to wait until the end of the series to draw something like an older Ran, and—besides OVA 9—no one else is going to attempt to draw an older Ran... nothing like Gosho drawing it, after all.ConanAccountant wrote:My question is from Movie 5.
