I'm watching 688 right now, and I noticed that Takagi somehow got girly eyes when he was explaining the case to the kids (before he turned his head during his recap), and when he answered the phone as Kogoro comes in the scene.
It could be that I'm just imagining things too much.

You like the Sumida River one? I despise it with a passion haha.
I wish the AOs in the AO streak would've been better. Now people won't have the feeling to stomach the usually-good Mystery Tour cases.

You know I tend to get why Conan interferes most of the time in these cases, but I don't think it makes sense to notice some books that are JUST SITTING RIGHT THERE! Does he think without his help no one would notice that?
Sneezing Kogoro
the video thing is so stupid. Clever, but stupid.

Average comedy episode. Was honestly hoping for better. It's...fine but the 4th and 5th Magic Files were legitimately really funny and a lot of fun so I was hoping for that level of fun from this. The only reason this episode was even decent was probably because it was a silly case taken fairly seriously, which is amusing.

Re: AO Hell: The Discussion Thread
So, i watched 692-3. They were good (WAY better than the lost puppy or some other recent AOs). I liked the character interactions of Conan, Ran, Kogoro (voice actor changed??) and the detectives. The mystery was OK, acceptable. Showing Kogoro as lead investigator in the second episode was good. My fav AOs will be the early ones. Good times.

it will never end
So did B'z make this song specifically to get Gosho to answer stuff already? I'd like to believe that's true.
Kogoro casually leaves the kids at the earliest possible chance. Perfect. But he's forced back. Not sure if that's a good thing. It's a good thing for the audience, bad for Kogoro.
I swear they've used this same semi-old male design for every 1/3 AO in the past couple of years. He's like boring Shadow Man or something.
Well he just hit a girl in the back of the head with his calculator. Can't say I've seen that one before.
OH so now he's trying (and failing) to look like Shadow Man, so I was right?! Ok?
Oh there you are Shadow Man!
While there's some subtle stuff that I can easily see being an accident, I'm pretty sure Conan not using Sleeping Kogoro much in manga cases anymore was an intentional choice after the Red Shirt case. It's a nice little touch and a minor thing that helps the series from being completely status quo. So obviously nearly every AO uses Sleeping Kogoro. Of course.
that case sure was
...
it sure was!
Also, is the eel thing just going to go on for some long as unfunny that it will end up funny someday? Is that the idea?

Re: AO Hell: The Discussion Thread
I have a question about the Unsolvable Frozen Trap case. I'd like someone to explain the trick, because I don't get it, like... at all. The victim was supposed to be killed by strangulation from applying pressure to a rope, but... that's it, the rest of Conan's explanation doesn't make any sense to me. First, he talks something about pushing the rope into the ice, so that it will sink into it, but in that building there was only one small hole on one side and nothing else, no signs of the rope being pushed down, into the ice. Secondly, there's this stuff about some kind of weight being a block of glass, but the police didn't find any blocks of glass, now did they? And how the heck is that glass block suppose to help with the murder plan? Finally, Conan's example on that block of ice was really out of place as the inside of that building wasn't ice everywhere, because it would be impossible to enter it.
Help, please?
