The movie was great! ;D Glad to see Ran's karate skills again and more Heiji and Kazuha moment!! *fan-girl mode*

Warning, since the movie is released I am not going to use spoiler box, so it is your responsibility if you wish to read further!

so, I watched it yesterday and I am not sure what to say, it was good but IMO not as close as to any first 9-10 DC movies.

Negatives:

1- No shadow man :o :'( not sure if I missed something
2- Although I am a Heiji and Kazuha fan, their moment was good at the start then it felt like the same moment is being repeated, putting his hand on her.
3- Kazuha was portrayed as annoying IMO, no comparison with movie 7 !
4- The drama about Ran's persumed death was not touching enough from Conan's side, why he did not insist on going on the helicopter :-\ also his scream did not feel dramatic IMO, Shinshi's voice could have been better.
Also, her dad was sleeping the whole time, it could have made it more dramatic to see Kogrou's reaction.
5-Easy spy :-X even for my level, I was hoping it was a pun but it was not :|
6-I am not sure if that was what slider meant, but it felt overly serious for a DC movie, I liked it as a good movie, but I did not have fun enough. I missed the typical DC comedy. Movie 14 was pure fun in comparison with this, it made laugh a lot, despite it not being as good as some older movies.
7- I felt happy when Heiji met up with Heibara, I was hoping for fun interactions, but there was none :(

Positives:
1- Short screen appearances for the DBs in comparison with the last two which makes up for a lot of the previous negatives :)
2- Haibara was a star, basically she was awesome with her limited appearance

I know that the negatives look much more but let's say if some scenes were done in a diffent way, it could have made this movie awesome rather than just good :)
Every time I want to give up on DC, it manages to bring me back, it brings me back feelings I know that I will never ever feel or live again.

Just done watching this movie. Another not so good and forgettable movie.
I love the espionage aspect of the story and how it unfolds. The way the details were given without Conan being there is pretty clever.
The villain or antagonist just sucks. The worst antagonist I've ever seen in a DC movie.
The watch plot device which I saw coming a million miles away (or I am just so familiar how a DC movie works).
The killer , what a lame reason to not report it to superiors and specially after knowing the one he "accidentally killed" was possibly a traitor.
"That" country. I wonder what country is that ;D
And finally. Was Conan crying?? :o

I just don't like the 3D animation part specially the ones where it is like running in a 10 frames per second rate (I just missed the traditional animation :P)

Overall, a not bad nor a good movie neither. I hope the Lupin and DC crossover movie will be awesome.
I hope the writers for the next movie will stop putting the lives of the main cast in danger coz we are not buying that kind of suspense because we all know they are not going to die..

and btw how many keyframes there are drawn by Gosho? I saw the "Kazuha crying",and "Conan after the rescue". Any other scenes?

and props to The Moonlighters for that awesome subs. *clap clap*

That's true for most movies, not just Detective Conan. I think it still can create some kind of suspense.
But yeah, they should've focused more on the mystery. Still an awesome movie, in my opinion!

I realy liked this movie. Seriously, now that I think about, Conan never cried once in a movie nor in the anime (Ain't I right?)
And I've learned a lot about warships ahahah :P the mystery was great !

Finally got around to watch this. I don't have the energy to post a bloviation filled review, but in general I felt it was a good movie by DC standrds, albeit one that could have used a more interesting villain. I understand that spies are by definition mysterious, but I still would have enjoyed some sort of backstory or at least a deeper look at his personality. Also, the ending was an uninspired mash-up of:
Spoiler:
Movie's 9 ending and Movie 15's ending.
Detective Movies Contest 2013: Information Thread  Current Faceoff

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

Okay, I have an *extremely* important question to ask: Where the hell was the Kyoto investigator's chipmunk!? When I first saw him, I was like awesome, we get to see the chipmunk. THERE WAS NO CHIPMUNK. Needless to say I'm pissed.

This Movie made me cry 3 times. :')

We all knew that Ran wasn't going to die, but still, it was so dramatic. XD

Conan went to the Bathroom a lot.

The villain was incredibly lame, worst villain in any DC Movie ever.

Overall, it was a good movie! Looking forward for The Lupin III VS Conan Special and Movie 18! (I wish subbing those Movies won't take MONTHS like it did with this Movie.)

The villain's character was practically non-existent here. And the suspense with Ran was pointless, i couldnt get into it, especially with her being a damsel in distress, AGAIN??? Cute KazuHei moments and Conan's ventures to the bathroom were the only things stopping this movie from being a complete disaster. It is still uninspired.
