Excellent hold. With a bit of luck it could still end up top 10 in its 10th weekend. That is impressive considering the usual pattern for Conan movies : 16 was 15th in its 9th weekend and fell off the chart the following week, 15 was 11th in its 8th weekend and fell off the chart in its 9th weekend, 14 was 10th in its 7th weekend and fell off the chart in its 8th weekend etc.

Yes. Like every year. Detective Conan movies are among the highest grossing japanese animated features over there. In fact, I think only Ghibli movies (especially Miyazaki ones) do better and not by that much. For example, DC movie 15 grossed $842,780 while Doraemon the same year did only $80,781. Some Pokemon movie back in 2010 did around $50,000. Even One Piece Strong World barely crossed the $150,000 mark. However, Ponyo back in 2008 managed to do a little over 1 million dollars.

If I'm not mistaken that's the highest gross profit for a DC Movie. Right?

Yes. I didn't mention it because the franchise record was already beaten last weekend (06/15-06/16).

It stayed top 10 in its 10 weekend by less than ¥25,000, that's around $250.
