Re: Detective Conan Anime Discussion Thread (Latest Subbed Episode: 810)
Honestly, it feels like it's been since I've heard complaints about how the series looks. For a while it was like a regular complaint. (especially around 2009 when the quality just dropped...)

Kamaitichi one animation was really good ...I do agree 810 the animation did not match up specially when kuroda entered...in manga it looked so scary...i hope 811 really do some impact on kuroda as he is a important character!!!looking forward to it:-) :-)

Episode 810: The Darkness of the Prefectural Police (Part One)
-That is an intriguing title, regardless of context.
-That's a more...artistic(?) intro to this episode than I was expecting.
-I feel like it's been forever since Okino Yoko has been around.
-Well that's unexpectedly gruesome for a recent case.
Yamato Kansuke is great. Something about the character is always fun to watch. I just love how dramatic this whole case is so far and all the connections with the police and everything. Basically everything about this is good so far. I also like the idea of Conan having to look out for people solely based on their appearance. Adds a bit of paranoia to the plot that's been sorely lacking.
Number of songs from 2007 soundtrack: 6

They spent most of the budget on the 2x 1 hour new year specials so it's not that surprising. The episodes look good enough to me honestly.haibaralove wrote:Kamaitichi one animation was really good ...I do agree 810 the animation did not match up specially when kuroda entered...in manga it looked so scary...i hope 811 really do some impact on kuroda as he is a important character!!!looking forward to it:-) :-)

Kogoro is a cutie...
And so is Ran! Little Conan being curious as always makes me smile... but what was that animation when Kuroda made an appearance :/ I hope that in the next episode he looks better and scarier lol. But good episode! In cases like Naruto Shippuuden and One Piece I dropped the anime, but I enjoy so much Detective Conan as an anime. I was so looking forward to Kuroda's first appearance! (And I missed the Nagano trio in the anime).

Yeah, I noticed a few tracks that they hadn't used in like 300 episodes, such as that movie 4 one.

Holy crap what did I just watch
The part where he said the bishamonten stuff, showed the place for the "X" and then having those large ass pupils really showed the anger and rage within him, and the confrontation with the culprit in the end was just crazy..... The way it was slowed down to him shooting one bullet at a time and reminiscing about the past... Good night

Episode 811: The Darkness of the Prefectural Police (Part 2)
This case is very good but I have little to say about this part. But damn that death was...brutal. So wait...that's ok, but sushi on a silhouette is too much? Pfft, ok sure.
Mostly, it's just nice to see actual stakes for the characters anyone cares about.

Re: Detective Conan Anime Discussion Thread (Latest Subbed Episode: 812)
812 has been subbed.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

Greaat episode. I just got a bit annoyed by the 'I am bishamonten etc.' after it being repeated 10 times in three episodes.

Looks better than the previous 2, and I like the use of older soundtracks, but as a person who's not a fan of romance, I didn't really like the last part.
