Oh hey, I didn't notice Shampoo in the background there. Damn, I miss reading that series. NI-HAO, RANMA~takiko wrote: I'm seeing Shampoo too.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's Lum from Urusai Yatsura ("Those Obnoxious Aliens", also by Rumiko Takahashi. It's a bit older than Ranma, and not nearly as well-known.)takiko wrote: I'm seeing Shampoo too.
However....I do think I see Kasumi Tendou farther down the hall...
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

I'm pretty sure Black Cat had an obvious reference to Conan but I can't find any images of it. =(

This is the only familiar one...Fronzel wrote: Conan showed up in an episode of Yakitate Japan. Said that if this was his show, the ratings would be higher.
Really? I stopped watching Black Cat and other random trial anime after I've been hooked to Western TV Series... Could you tell me what Black Cat episode it is?kkslider5552000 wrote: I'm pretty sure Black Cat had an obvious reference to Conan but I can't find any images of it. =(

There's some tiger-stripe-looking things on her legs, which is why I thought it was Lum...

Yeah, the stripes. But Lum's stripes are yellow and black.
Shampoo and Lum:
Shampoo's hair color resembles the color of the one in the picture.

Re: DC in other manga/anime
Although I have no pictures to add, I would say: DC references cannot be avoided if:
- It's after mid-1990s;
- It's a comedy;
- It's Shogakukan, esp from Shounen Sunday, and
- If detectives are involved.

Re: DC in other manga/anime
Yeah..It just proved that CONAN is really a famous and a great anime, right??

I'm reading the manga of Hayate, the combat butler too and I see many Statues of Conan there.
And the protagonist mentions many things about Conan including Kid and Lupin..

In Full Metal Panic OVA,
There is a parody of "Future Boy Conan"- Miyazaki and "Detective Conan" who is call "Conyan, The Future Detective Boy"

In this parody, we can see a boy who is dress like Conan. ;D

i'm so happy that another anime made fun of the whole Kogoro-sleeping-dart-and-speaking-through-bowtie routine, it's so funny!!
