Shinichi+Ran

Honestly, I just don't see any love rivals for the both of them at the moment. Probably because if one of them turns out to be a BO member and a love rival, it's just too cliche.

To be honest, at the beginning of watching the series, I was probably one of the biggest ShinRans ever. I really liked the couple and rooted for it. ...But then Ran sorta got shoved to the side and nothing really changed. Unlike Ran, I wasn't one for waiting.

I think something that I really enjoyed in the older days was that Ran was basically the brawn. Many times she'd take down the criminals if they tried to escape/hurt someone else. I don't get why Gosho started to remove those moments. My guess is that they were "violent" for her character but...I totally disagree if that were the case. Anytime she used her strength it was to take down a dangerous offender or for comedy relief. It was one of my favorite aspects of hers...that I honestly find myself forgetting nowadays with how little it shows up.

I would have been the queen ShinRan if Kogoro hadn't fallen down those stairs in episode 2 and Conan had just told her right off that he was Shinichi. He would have been the brains, and she would have been the brawn when needed. They would have made an awesome crime fighting duo D:

So I guess what I'm trying to do here is bring up a topic: what kind of story would you like to see Shinichi and Ran in? As in, other than the story as it is right now, what would be nice to see them star in? A fairytale parody? A mildly different DC (like my example above)? Something still in "the real world" but not detective like?

I've actually read a fanfic where that's happened...and it was brilliant. ...So much so that, honestly, I don't know if I'd like to see it happen in a different way :V Who knows, though. If Gosho were to do it and do it right, I might enjoy it.

I know, right? Honestly, I hope they become that kind of crime fighting duo when we're reaching the ending. Because seriously, there is no way in hell that Ran should be kept away from a BO confrontation when she can kick ass. XDDD

As for another situation for them? I'd like to see them in something like the Fire Emblem Universe. Most likely because I'm curious of what kind of class they'd be. XDD

Well if it's like Fire Emblem, then recurring characters will die but then never be acknowledged by any other character. (seriously hate this a ton in the series)

Hell Yeah, Ran and Shinichi as a crime - fighting duo that would be awesome!!  Actually I have always wanted to see Ran and Shinichi take over Kogoro's Detective agency after they got married. Shinichi would of course be the Detective and Ran could be the secretary and Assistent. My point is I would like to see them fighting crimes together. I would hate to see Shinichi as a Police detective and Ran as a House wife

same here. I'm wishing for one of the best traits that ran has earlier in the series. She rarely had those moments w/ the culprit D: That's why I loved the Monkeys and Rakes case. She did well in the end there.

I could totally imagine them being a detective duo. XD

As for a different story, I would like to see them in the crime field/whatever-you-call-it-field.
Ran being a lawyer and Shinichi a detective. I am dreaming of seeing them as rivals, in which Shinichi is better and Ran getting annoyed by it.

I have an even better idea: In honor of the Ace Attorney series, I hereby suggest Prosecutor!Ran and Police Detective!Shinichi. Just think about the possibilities: Awesome mysteries, chasing criminals, late-night case discussions turned dates...XDDDD

A topic that definitely don't get discussed enough: Ran's future career. Before you guys brought up the lawyer/prosecutor idea I always figured Ran be the Stay at home Mom type, since she doesn't seem to show her knowledge in law much at all.
