I thought Shin doesn't tell Ran 'cause he doesn't want to burden her...I think he knows how honest she is.Also he probably knows how much she worries of other people...how much would she worry if she knew he's just a kid now? and how much more she'd worry if she knew what he's up against?
just think about it...


but still I think it's wrong to not tell her & reap the benefits while making her worry & cry...
Lying is bad..."justified lying" is even worse...just my 1½ cents...

However, I don't really see that as too much of a bad thing. Why? I think that Shinichi learning to trust other people will end up being a big part of his character development at the end of the series.

That will be an epic end Edogawa Conan" dilemma.

Being a little kid means:

Can't defend himself so he depends on other to defend him-  check that, he kicks super soccer balls, stuns people, shoots guns, before making people surrender with his amazing detective geniusness.  People do come in and help him of course....after the case is solved and all the tension is gone (Gosho: trolololol)

No one listens to him- check that, Takagi practically knows he really is so he follows all his plans .  If not there is always sleeping Kogoro/ Yamamura/ Sonoko.  Well he does ask question to prompt the bystanders to guess the culprit by themselves, but he kinda does that type of fishing when he was Shinichi.

Stuck with stupid kids and stupid school all the time-  He has Haibara now and is constantly in contact with Heiji, other policeman, FBI, CIA.  The Detective Boys seem like lots of fun nowadays too (camping, fishing, hotsprings, sushi, my gosh).  They're also getting smarter (in my opinion).

Can't catch KID:  Ehhh you couldn't catch KID when you were Shinichi either buddy.

Can't confess to his girlfriend cause he felt it was selfish of him to make her miss him even more, that if he can't go back he would let her go-  Errrr.  Yeah about that... <3

agreed. maybe there is something that will happen to shinichi/change in the end. There are lots of things which happened to him while he is conan afterall

Though I agree with Sonoci and Kirite that trust has something to do with Conan not telling Ran everything, what you said might be half the reason aww....*how romantic

...I thought that Haibara broke out herself with a screwdriver? Heiji was at the party when she got out :X

I thought Heiji merely hid the spare tracking glasses so she could use them to track down Conan.

I mean, the text conversation where Heiji's assistance was asked for happened after Conan was looking for the glasses, so by that point they were hidden.

...looking at the manga page in question, Heiji didn't want to leave Kudou to face the bad guys alone, so he forced the lock open and made sure Haibara could get there to help him (which I would presume means that he made sure there was a spare pair of tracking glasses for her to use).

I am watching ep.649 and I know that I have said before and being childish, but it disturbed me how Conan noticed Sera's trick about the adapter and Gosho did not make him notice Ran closing the curtains ( well the episode recap does not count).

I liked this reaction from Ran in one way, just because it shows how much she understands Shinichi, while many people who do not support ShinRan argue that Ran does not understand him as much.

On the other hand, I think Ran's action is angelic, can't see it happening in real life, no matter how good a person is.

We have discussed this during the manga, but it would be nice to discuss it after it is animated.

When Sera said to Ran you are tough, is she implying that Ran knows about Conan=Shinichi and she is dealing with it in silence, or that she is waiting in the dark of the unknown for Shinichi? Or even something else?
