[DCTP] Detective Conan Survivor: Round 1, Pool 30 (Ended Apr

Welcome to 2012! Time to get this started again, and hopefully wrap it all up!

Remember! In Survivor, you vote for your two LEAST favorites.

Poll results will not be available until the poll expires on the announced day. You do not have to say what you voted should you not wish to, but feel free to discuss any of the cases featured!
Detective Conan Survivor is basically a game of survivor played with the cases that make up the first 600 episodes. You may have seen Survivor games played out elsewhere, but essentially, it will be a series of polls to give us a ranking of sorts for the many cases that have brought us up to the big number 600.

But, instead of normal polls where you would have a special like 304 receiving 95% of the vote and all other episodes getting 1 to 2 votes, Survivor works differently. In Survivor, instead of voting for your favorites, you vote for your least favorites. This way, the resulting rankings are more indicative of actual ranking than the usual format. 304 (for example) may still win, but, along the way, we'll get a pretty decent idea of what is second, third, fourth, and such. Beyond that, we will have the chance to discuss a mass of cases that have gone under the radar over the years.

The Survivor polls will take a while to finish, but by the end, we'll have a nice idea of how the DCTP community as a whole ranks the best and worst cases.

There will be multiple polls running concurrently for the most part (for the first few, we'll take it slow until everyone is introduced to the concept). From these, two to three of the cases with the highest votes will be eliminated (or, better put, removed from the top consideration). The first round will have quite a few polls, but the numbers will continue to dwindle until we are left with only an elite few remaining.

The pools were constructed with a certain (albeit lenient) formula in mind to ensure that there's a varied and hopefully balanced mix to each.

Along the way, not only will everyone have a chance to post their thoughts about cases they otherwise don't get to discuss often, but we'll also get to test various aspects of the ConanTV service.
Clearly, an overwhelming majority believes Kaito prefers M&Ms over Skittles.
Which, I mean, duh. No contest.

I hated 212-13, not really because it had the Detective Boys (who I don't mind at all), but because the resolution to the case was dumb. Wasn't at all sure about #2, but 452 stood out as the least impressive, perhaps because its mediocrity was stretched over an hour.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

I really don't like the bears and mushroom case, other than Haibara being pretty awesome. And I don't like the flower scent case either. But I voted 80 because it bored me and 354-355 because episodes where snotty kids get in touch with their feelings are a pet peeve of mine.

599 for sure, as I didn't really like the plot for that one. For the second ep, not to sure, but just went with 257.
