People do it differently. And it also kinda depends what role you got and which side you're on of course

I for example usually ask: "Want an alliance?" and don't say any info yet.
If I can investigate or have an ability that can't narrow you down, I sometimes say that I can investigate or do another ability. Tho I don't do that so much anymore since people don't want an alliance with me. Which means I gave them info without getting anything back :x

There are some "types" (this is exaggerated a lot :x)

"Ally me! Or die!" - type:

Xpon: "Ally me!"
Player: "Hm... I'm not sure."
Xpon: "Ally me pleaaasseee!~ T_T You can totally trust me!"

Schillok: "I used a ability on you and came to the result that you're more likely town than BO. I either:
a) stole from you an item that a lot of townspeople have
b) interrogated you and got "not BO"
c) observed you
d) ...

z) used this and that and got to this conclusion
So, want an alliance? Tho I don't trust you completely yet."
