Haha, that's the point! But it is not that difficult. Basically it's three steps.

Is this a form of Ascii art Is there a reason why you seem to be short 5 -1? are the spaces need to be there or extra?

Because removing the spaces makes a kind of Ascii art but the line do not line up right. Some lines got more characters then others. And I believe that most Ascii art using lines that are all the same length
