YES! I would join, and I would even ask him or her why? if if his/her answer is plausible, I'll honestly, and truthfully reflect my actions also, because I've lived long enough to know I'm not perfect, and long enough to realized that sometime, it was my fault and that others have the right to dislike me because of it.
All I'm saying is work things out, making friends is harder than making enemies, but it'll totally worth it because for one thing, at least this person have been looking at you to know you even though it's a bad verdict, it's not bad to finds out early, it's not bad to change yourself sometimes for good, and it's not bad to make peace with someone who dislike you then came to like you.
