So this is the awesomeness that is the Mafia Historical Statistics Table. I would also strongly recommend that you download the Excel file that I used to calculate all this data. It is more complete, and with it you can gain a stronger understanding of our Mafia history. Plus, I worked really hard on it. Here's the link:
http://sebolains.zxq.net/mafia%20statistics.xls or http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SA4YU4KW
Also, I would really appreciate if you didn't get mad at me for any mistakes that I might have made in this table. I worked really hard on this, and it took a long time. Some of the information is quite hard to find, and I had to dig for it. It's very possible that I might have missed something, or wrongly added something. If you find an error of this nature, please let me know in either a PM or in this topic, and I'll do my best to fix it.
F.A.Q.
There's a few questions that may arise, so I'll answer them before they do so:
- What about round 5? How did you solve the problem we had with the lovers?
I considered round 5 to have been a Town win, because that's the way it would have been with today's rules.
- Just what exactly is the Weighted Ratio and why is it so important?
The mathematical definition of it is [(Times Won * Times Played) - Times Lost / Times Played] + 1 or Times Won + Times Won / Times Played (If you're willing to do the algebra, you'll see that both expressions are equivalent.) Basically, it is the best way I could come up with to show exactly who the "best" mafia players are. The problem is that, given that not everyone played in every round, the winning percentage is really not a good way to tell who's best. If you're curious as to why the +1 in the formula, it is because I didn't want any negative numbers there, and because this way the minimum W.R. is 0.
- What?! *Username* is all the way up there and I'm all the way down here?! I play way better than he/she does! He/She sucks!!
Please understand that this table only uses numerical data (i.e. who played, how many times they played, and how many times they won). This means that this doesn't necessarily represent who contributes more to each mafia game, although I would argue it's quite a good approximation. You should understand that this problem arises mainly from the facts that Mafia is both a team game and a game where chance plays role.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for playing Mafia. You're all really cool, regardless of your rank

Cool! I made it to the top 5 ^^
I like how Schillok and Akonyl, the ones who always die first, are on the top of the list ^^

Yeah, you have a 1 out of 5 record, which... well, it doesn't really put you all the way up in this table, does it?

Why, thank you

That's probably
why they die first

Well, technically you'll die fifth.

Sebolains' Awesome Mafia Table (SAMT), better known as the "Who should we kill/lynch first? Table."

Thanks! I'm actually quite proud of my work here

I thought it was gonna be one of those thousands of projects that I start and, well, fail to finish... Luckily, this wasn't the case for the SAMT.

Hahahaha. I guess it's gonna become a great guide for future BO generations, eh?

I find it hilarious that I am up so high on this list considering the only important thing I ever did was arrest Beastly and mangaluva in round 5 after Callid told me to.
I also note that, of the group who have been town 100% of the time, I've played the most rounds.

I get a crown, right?

You deserve the Investigator Crown.
But you being always on the town side it's shocking

I bet you don't know what it feels to kill someone 8)

Thank you Sebolains!
But I would change a minor detail.
If you compare Commi and me (place 9), the weight ratio is the same.
We played both 7 times, just I was GM once, so I have "8 rounds" together. Commi and me also won 4 times. But I just have 50% winning and Commi has 57,1%. Meaning if you were a GM, you'll automatically get a "loss" D:
If it's not too much, then don't count the GM rounds into the winning statistics imo.
Callid for example also won 4/5 times. But with that GMing rounds he has just 66% winning %

If Akonyl had been town instead of Tequila that one time, he'd have the town crown.
Also, I just remembered that I arrested Holmes, not Beastly. And he was Kid and I didn't mean to. We lynched Beastly after my house search...I think.

You are completely right. It's all fixed up now. I guessed I messed up my math there :/
Thanks a lot for pointing that out!!
