You like knights, don't you?

1. Ng1-f3 / d2-d4

I prefer the Queen's pawn.

I'm not the biggest fan of knights, but I do find that, unlike bishops, they're useless in the back rank, and they actually cause more harm there (being obstacles to castling) than they do good.  So I like to try and get them further up the board early.

As for Queen's pawn, I prefer King's pawn because it immediately lets the queen and a bishop have access to lots of territory.

In this case, you should start with a King's pawn - otherwise I'll force the game into a Queen's pawn game. Like I did.

1. Ng1-f3 / d2-d4
2. Nb1-c3 / Nb8-c6

I agree, and usually that would be my first move.  I decided I wanted to mix it up, though, and start with the knight.
Though I just looked back at our first game and I opened with a knight as well.  So much for it being "usually my first move".

2. Nb1-c3 / Nb8-c6
3. d2-d3 /

3. d2-d3 / e7-e5

No problem.  That's what turn-based playing is all about.  You just make a move when you can.

Now, what's with these annoying pawns again...

1. Ng1-f3 / d2-d4
2. Nb1-c3 / Nb8-c6
3. d2-d3 / e7-e5
4. e2-e4 / d5-d4
5. Nc3-d5 /

Should be f7-f5. I'm liking this part.

Nah, not really.  But I can do my best to dissuade you from taking it.
