Another day. You wake up in the same bed. You eat the same breakfast. Today will probably be the same as yesterday and the day before that. Same as the week before that too. Your mind goes through all the fun things your friends are doing this summer: visiting the erupting volcano in Hawaii, seeing the Wimbledon and the US Open in person, joining a Safari tour across Africa, seeing the sights of Victoria Falls, watching the FIFA World Cup in person, dancing a whole week of samba carnivals in Rio de Janeiro, tracing the ravines of the Grand Canyon. And you? Nothing. Merely another day drifting through the town you've always known.

You check the stack of mail addressed to the household in which you reside. Bills. Discount ads. The usual. More bills. More ads. Oh, What's this? An envelope with an elaborate gold engraving on an expensive cardstock. And it's addressed to you. This is different. You never get letters.

You carefully open the envelope and take out the thick stack of paper inside. When you unfurl the papers, a thick sheet of paper like a bookmark fell out. You read the first bit of the letter as you bend down and blindly reach for the bookmark-like object:

"Congratulations! You have won the lottery for an exclusive exhibition of paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn, several of which were recently recovered and restored to be viewed for the very first time in a century. This exhibition is held on an exclusive 20-day cruise around the Pacific Ocean in our deluxe suite, stopping at Ogasawara and Okinawa, with a two-day shore excursion at both iconic tourist destination. The all-expense paid cruise will leave from Yokohama on..."

You hold up the bookmark-like object and peruse it. An ornate ticket, with similar gold engraving as the envelope, shimmers in your hands.

A choice now lies before you: will you accept to go on this three-week long trip to see the exotic sights of the Pacific Ocean and the paintings of a revered artist, or stay at home and mope about how you're not having the best summer to all your friends?
Spoiler: Prep phase story
Let's see... Clothes. Got to have enough so that you don't have to do laundry every day. Toiletry. You never know who you'll meet. Got to stay fresh. Bathing suit. No questions about that. Extra towels. "Your needs will be amply met. The crew for this cruise was meticulously chosen based on their experience in 'providing for your needs before you even know your needs' from their decades of experience." You don't want to risk getting a cold by not having a towel when you need one. Snorkeling and diving equipment. No way are you risking an indirect kiss on this cruise, even if it is a highly exclusive event. Taxi fare. No way I'm getting to Yokohama harbour on time without a little help. The ticket. Don't forget the ticket.

You can't help but admire the ticket design. The ornate ticket reflects the light like gold glitter. The weight of the ticket makes you wonder if the gold is real. At the back it reads: "Admit one. The boat is scheduled to leave one hour before sunset (17:34). Only valid while donning the mask sent along with the ticket."

You almost forgot about the package that was left on the doorstep when you got the ticket in your mail. You scrounge for it among all the other items you're packing. Here it is: the mask. It looks like something from those parties. What are they called again? Oh yes. Masquerades. Very traditional ones, covering the top half of the face. You recall the letter mentioning the mask.

"...will be required to wear the masquerade mask. A simple one has been provided to you. You are welcome to choose your own masquerade mask before coming. The organizer of the lottery require that all who participate on the cruise must keep the mask on when in public. While a peculiar rule, I hope you will enjoy your time on this exquisite adventure."

Is there anything else I need? I'm sure it'll all fit in the suitcase somehow.

You throw all of it into the suitcase you have prepared for this cruise. You plug in your phone to the phone charger.

You make a mental note: put phone charger in suit--.

You dream the sweetest of delights, the most thrilling of adventures, the most wondrous of sight. You smile, awaiting a bright new day.
Spoiler: Night 1 story
You arrive by taxi at Yokohama harbour around 16:30. You fight the crowds and head towards Osanbashi-Pier D. There you see a cruise yacht of roughly four fifths of a cho (町). There are three rows of square windows, an open deck on top, a variety of navigation thingamabobs (because you obviously know everything about modern navigational techniques on the open sea) sitting above the top of the ship.

You head towards the aft starboard of the cruise ship, where two women dressed in a white uniform with gold and white epaulettes are welcoming the guests.

As you wait in line, you notice a submersible undergoing inspection at the stern by two people dressed in the same uniform, but with purple instead of white colours on their epaulettes. A lifeboat lies on the side of the ship between the two floors above you. Another two people dressed as those by the submersible are inspecting the boat.

You reach for your face, making sure the mask is on. You show your ticket. They each scrutinize the ticket a magnifying glass that seemingly appeared out of thin air.

"Welcome to The Taipan. We hope you enjoy your stay." The two women gesture you inside the centerline corridor behind them. "These two will take your luggage to your room and bring you to the dining hall, where we will give you an orientation of the Taipan when all the guests have boarded."

A man and a woman--dressed in the same uniform as the two women who handled your registration--take your suitcase and gestures you to follow them down the corridor. After they reach your room and left your bag inside the door, they hand you the key to the room. "Please follow us to the dining hall, where you will be given an orientation to the cruise yacht. Also, we were instructed by the organizer of the cruise to tell all our guests to refrain from revealing their true persona behind the mask. The reason? We're not sure, but you'll soon find that the organizer has a very peculiar taste regarding this cruise."

You follow them to the aft stairwell. After going up a flight (or two) of stairs, you reach deck four. You enter the forward doors from the stairs, and arrive in the majestic dining hall. The red radiance of the setting sun diffuses across the white luxurious curtains and tablecloths draped around 12 tables, 6 on each side of the ship. The radiance reflects from the mirrored ceiling to the 5 easels--covered with a thick white blanket for dust cover--sitting in the middle of the dining room. Several waiters (in the same white uniform) have come out in pairs with large platters of hors d'oeuvre. You take a few pieces of delight as you admire the scenery as other guests with masks trickled into the room.

You settle in and start to make light conversation with the other masked guests in this room. The weather, the senseless politics in faraway countries, the economy under Shinzo Abe's rule, the future of Japan, the next thing the Suzuki Corporation is going to build. You're not sure if you're following the conversation all that well.

Finally, there are 16 masked people waiting in the dining hall. A man with four gold stripes on his epaulette enters the room from the forward entrance to the dining hall.

He clinks on a glass and everyone turns their heads to him. "I am Captain Bulurufu Buregu, the one who will make sure you have a pleasant stay on the luxurious Taipan. My mother told me that she named me based on the proud traditions of my ancestors, who came from an island the name of which I can never remember. I mean, I can barely say my name that well. You can refer to me as Captain Buregu, if that makes it any easier. And to my left is my second-in-command."

"Ah, yes. My name is Yokomizo Kaigo (横溝 開悟)." He said in the most soothing of voices. "Before you ask, yes, I'm related to a certain pair Of famous police officers. My mother wanted me to excel in life. She didn't want me to be an afterthought to my brothers' naming scheme, so she made a pun with my name too. She has always reminded me that she wasn't serious about the other meaning from the pun. So she says."

"HAHAHAHA" Captain Buregu's laughter interrupts Yokomizo-san. "It may be hard to tell, but without him, I'll never be able to run this ship," Captain Buregu exclaimed.

"Anyways, let me give you a tour of the cruise yacht. We're currently on Deck Four. There are several stairways on the Taipan. The most frequented are the two interior stairways, the forward stairs and the aft stairs. All of you came up from the aft stairs. Let's go back there to begin the tour."

"Further towards the stern (the back of the ship) is a small patio cafe service, the Blue Lagoon. You can relax while looking at the sea. Let us head upstairs now."

"On Deck Five, we have seating for the cafe. Near the center of the deck is the gym with one treadmill and two multi-purpose machine, along with various exercise tools at your disposal." Further ahead is the hot tub portside of the ship. Further forward is the pool we have recently installed for your enjoyment. Now let us go down the forward stairs."

"We're now back on Deck four. Here is the lounge, where we have two musical group playing from 8 pm to 2 am. You'll also satisfy your alcoholic thirst here. Be nice to the bartenders. I don't want to lock you up and bar you from the bar. HAHAHAHA," Captain Buregu's voice echos in the lounge. "Let's head down to the Deck three."

"Towards the bow of the ship is the bridge, and my quarters. This area is highly restricted. We ask that you not enter in case you mess up the delicate navigational system. As you look aft, you'll see some of the living quarters for our guests. The self service laundry can be found near the middle of the ship on this deck. Room 301, 302, 303, 306 are connecting rooms, and is used to store some of the painting that we will be seeing during our time here. Please refrain from entering them, as the environment in those rooms are set to keep the paintings from being damaged by the elements. Let us head down towards Deck Two."

"Deck Two contains the rest of living quarters for our guests. Since you probably did not have a chance to see your rooms yet, let me describe its opulence for you. You'll all have a room about seven tatami mats large containing a queen size bed. We would have put in a larger bed, but it doesn't fit through the door. Each room has a marble bathroom and a view of the open seas. You'll find our other self service laundry room in the middle of Deck two. Below here is Deck one, where our crew resides. We ask that you refrain from entering belowdecks. You may hear some strange noises. Do not worry; they like to conduct séance during their free times. I assure you those from the beyond would not bother you during this trip." Captain Buregu booming laughter catches you by surprise. "Let us make our way to the aft."

"Here is where you all boarded the yacht. I'm sure you have seen our submersible. It holds three people, and two of our crew will board along with you to help you navigate the world under the sea and enjoy the wonders of the Pacific Ocean. Each trip is an hour long and held during the day. Also, as per our organizer's request, we have set up one table for some card games should you wish to gamble. You'll see it on starboard of the aft stairs. On the portside, there's a small pantry, should you find yourself hungry and thirsty in the middle of the night. Let us head back up towards the dining Room."

"We're now back on Deck Three. You will find the lifeboats anchored on each side of the yacht around Deck Four by the stairs that run on each side of the ship that extends from aft Deck Two to Deck Five. Here we also have the doctor on board. Across from the doctor's office is the beauty salon. We offer a spa service, massage services, and hair-styling services so you look your best. Don't worry. Our crew members are instructed to allow only one person in the salon at a time, so that no one see your face underneath the mask. Now let us head towards the Dining Room once again."

"Now that you've seen all of the yacht, you're welcome to look around between Deck Two to Deck Five. We'll reach Ogasawara in the morning two and a half days from now. In the meantime, let me know what services you would like to enjoy this evening, and I'll make sure that the crew fulfills your every need."

Come on now. Don't wait. The marvels of the open sea awaits. You only have to tell Captain Bulurufu Buregu.
Spoiler: Day 1 Story
You waste no time to enjoy the amenities of the ship. You explore the ship. You climb to the top deck. You watch the sun fall below the horizon, the moon appear on the other side of the ship. You're certainly not the only guest to have thought of enjoying the beauty of the night sky. Some guests even chuckle amongst themselves, possibly having made quick acquaintance when they waited in the dining hall. As the lights of Tokyo disappear from the horizon, you head down to the dining hall and grab a quick bite. Soon, you turn in for the night.

(As Italo Calvino says, "The you that was shifted to [others] can, at any sentence, be addressed to you again. You are always a possible you. Who would dare sentence you to loss of the you, a catastrophe as terrible as the loss of the I. For a second-person discourse to become a novel, at least two you's are required, distinct and concomitant, which stand out from the crowd of he's, she's, and they's.")

Elsewhere, you change into your bathing suit and dive into pool. The pristine water, its characteristics regulated by the diligence of the invisible engineers, welcome you into its embrace. You also spy one of the guest The aroma in the dining hall beckons you as exercise whets your appetite. You quickly change and eat the first thing that the chefs recommended.

Of course, you didn't want to miss out on the main attraction of the cruise, the art by Rembrandt. A few guests wander the center of the dining hall, and waited impatiently for the crew to remove the dust cover over the easels in the middle of the room. You grab food that can be finished instantly without a trace of it left on your hands. You don't want to run off to the washroom to clean your hands and miss the reveal.

At long last, the crew reveals the painting. They are in two sets. The forward set displays five landscape paintings by Rembrandt:
Landscape with Cottages, which was recently recovered after it was stolen in 1972,

You can't help but hear this one guest keep gushing about the brilliance and awe that this one Dutchman should inspire in all of us. Near midnight, the paintings were covered once again, and four crew members asked all guests to stand away from the paintings until tomorrow morning when breakfast service starts (at 6:00 am).

You may have instead found yourself drawn to the comforts of the hot tub. A few guests dropped by. More conversational chatter. You notice a few guests enter the sauna room next to the gym. As you reach the end of the time limit allowed for guests entering the hot tub, you go out and grab a bite in the lounge. The crew plied you and other guests with a variety of drinks enjoyable for those who had a soak in the hot tub and sauna. With your muscles relaxed and your hunger sated, you retreated to your room.

In another part of the yacht, you find yourself drawn to the submersible. At the cruise yacht's current speed, the submersible cannot explore on its own and must be kept attached on a cable and anchored to the yacht. However, you can still enter with two of the crew members escorting you, allowing the submersible to act as a glass bottom deck for your viewing pleasure. You see the diverse wildlife brought about by the Kuroshio, which is an ocean current moving from the seas south of Taiwan along the sea south of Japan, eventually carrying the waters all the way to the Americas, so the crew tells you. In the past, it's known to be the strong current that leads to death. Nowadays, we understand it to be an unique ecosystem. Due to the high salinity and temperature of the equatorial waters, it attracts and provides a unique environment for all kinds of aquatic life. The warm waters promote algal growth, which feeds the fish that can survive in the area. The swarms of bonito, horse mackerel, pollock, sardines, anchovies, and squids that thrive here boosts the fisheries industry. The currents promote the formation of corals by Okinawa and other tropical islands. The marvels you now see beneath you show you the dark sea. When the submersible lights turn on, a glittering display of lights reflect from the scales of the many schools of fish that move around in the distance. You even catch a glimpse of a fishing rod hook, as someone tries to catch a fish for a cat that came on board.

Elsewhere, you climb in bed for an early night. You find yourself awake at some unknown hour of the night, nary a sound on the ship. You head over to the pantry and grab some food. You snack at the nearby table, listening to the gentle, barely-audible waves hitting the side of the boat like a timpani.

Or so you think. Is that a thud you hear from Deck Three? Nah. The Captain did say the crew like conducting séance belowdeck. This probably is just them, relaxing for the day. You leave the pantry and returned to your room. You take a few swigs from the drinks in the refrigerator in the pantry and return back to your room.
------------
You slept early yesterday. There was so much more to do, and so much more to see in the morning than at night. You wake to the dim light coming through the window. You walk towards the aft stairs to reach the submersible deck and get a good look at the sunrise port side. As you climb the stairs to Deck Three, you notice one lifeboat is missing, and Captain Buregu and several crew members are staring at the remaining lifeboat.

"Ah, I see you're awake. Please stay here as I call the rest of the guests to our location. A murder is afoot."

As you waited, you looked into the remaining lifeboat. The lifeboat contains several charred remains, one of which bears a resemblance to the clothing that a guest was wearing earlier. All of the bodies appear to be kept in a bind and made to face another body's back. The mechanisms of the lifeboat is thoroughly damaged by a fire, such that it will sink when placed into the water.

Soon, you and all the other guests now gather by the lifeboat. Captain Buregu sigh, "I don't know how to start this. As you can see here, our lifeboat are in ruins. Inside this lifeboat contains several corpses, one of which appears to have the clothing of the one called "PhoenixTears", who appears to be holding a police badge with the name Takagi Wataru."

The captain pulls out a note that appears to have survived the fire. The captain shows everyone the note, which reads:
Well... that was fast. I haven't even talked to anyone yet lmao. Guess the benefactor doesn't like cops.
"Another corpse carries the memento that my second-in-command carries with him at all times. Not only that, all my engineering and technical crew members somehow disappeared from the yacht, possibly dead on the other lifeboat. All the navigational and communication systems have been damaged such that anyone without technical knowledge cannot repair them. Due to the damage to the navigational systems, it will take some time for me to correct course to deal with the Kuroshio. As I have mentioned before, I really can't run this ship well without Yokomizo-san. We will attempt to reach Ogasawara to notify the authorities as soon as we can."

"This may be harsh of me to say, but one of you is a murderer. As per the organizer's request, all crew members must work and travel in pairs at all times, as though realizing that this situation may happen, and allow all of us to have an alibi. I have been in my quarters, which can only be accessed through the bridge. You'll find the security footage from last night of the several entrances to the bridge, showing that I've never left the bridge."

"My mother told me of a tradition back in her home island. When we encounter a terrible deed upon the community and we know the criminal is among us, we would all vote together on the one who is most likely to have committed such a crime, and throw them in the sea. We continue this tradition until we are sure that the criminal is no longer among us or have learned from the error of his/her ways. No, I don't mean to suggest that we murder them. That's violent. I simply suggest that we throw them overboard. The Kuroshio has a much high salt content than most of the sea, helping him/her to float a little despite the ocean currents dragging you down. However, there MAY be sharks that lurk in this current full of delicious fish. There MAY also be giant squids that aggressively attacks their prey. You may be recognized as a squid's prey, but there is a chance you'd be rescued before that happens, right?" Captain Buregu's laughter booms across the open sea.

"Normally, I'd say it's a beautiful day and tell you to enjoy the delicious traditional breakfast from several Asian countries." Captain Buregu chuckles. "But considering all the dead bodies, I doubt you'd be in the mood. Also, asking you what you may want to enjoy during the day on this luxurious cruise yacht may seem a little disrespectful to the dead, but I still must ask. What would you like to do today? It's not like the dead should stop us from enjoying the rest of this trip. My crew will continue to be on the look-out for any murderous intent to ensure that you'll all be safe."
Spoiler: Night 2 Story
The deaths come as a shock to you. How can anyone murder an entire department? The senseless deaths has numbed you as you looked down at the charred corpses. Who would do this? Who would destroy dozens of lives and their only means of escape? What purposes could it serve?

"...be safe." What was Captain Buregu saying? You slowly recollect yourself. You and all the other guests feel the same way. Now is a time of mourning.

You all mourn in different ways. One guest makes a memorial out of the pieces of belonging that still remained. In the room where the card table was set up, a little memorial is made for each person who have lost their lives to this senseless tragedy. A few guests stayed for a little bit to pay their respects.

One guest try to see if there are any clues that may lead to the killer. You doubt that will have any result, given the fire. Regardless, the guest tries hard to look for clues around the ship, especially near the lifeboats.

One guest makes ichigo daifuku for everyone. It is a nice gesture, given the circumstances. Another guest attempts to sneak into the kitchen to see what food there are. He was immediately barred from the kitchen, despite his uniform. After all, crew members must work in pairs and never leave each other's side.

One guest even cries on another guest's shoulder. She kept on saying "Conia, it's all your fault" while pounding her fists on his back. The guest "Conia" didn't seem to care, feeling as though this was a way to let her grief.

A few guests decides to relax and forget about the deaths instead. A few guests go for a walk around the boat to be alone. Another goes to fish again. One guest is so hungry she goes straight to the dining hall and eats a few meals worth of breakfast food. Some guests somehow found a cat on board and started to feed it with the fish caught yesterday.

One goes for a sauna with a few pints of imported beer. Another goes for the oldest vintage on board. Luckily, there's a bottle of 2000 Chateau Grand Village, made in Bordeaux, along with a few other imported wines from this year. The guest drinks himself away in sorrow.

One goes for a massage. She keeps insisting that the mold is going to be that much prettier afterwards, and scares the crew member. At one point, they call the doctor and nurse on board to see if she's insane. The doctor thinks it is likely grief. This guest completely ignores the medical professionals and goes into the sauna afterwards.

You can't help feeling that someone is watching you, waiting for you. The sense of distrust is thick in the air. You put in your vote into a box placed in the lounge with two of the crew standing guard to ensure no foul play. The meals and the rest of the day goes by like a blur.

At long last, the sun is setting. As you watch the sun fall below the horizon, you vaguely remember Captain Buregu's words. "At sunset, we'll send someone overboard." With the reminder of the crew, you gather, along with the remaining guests, to the submersible platform on Deck Two.

"Now that you've all gathered here, let me show you the results of your votes. It seems we do not like this guest whose name is "Memesu". Any last words, Memesu?"

The guest named Memesu reaches into her pocket, takes out a note, and hands it to the captain. The captain rips the mask off of Memesu's face, revealing someone who resemble Mizunashi Rena. The captain shows the note to everyone, and it goes:
I'm still here ;___;
"I'm not sure what your note means, but ARR, time to walk the plank, MATEY!!!"

Memesu is thrown overboard.

"I'm sorry for that outburst. I've always wanted to do that. Anyways, my esteemed guests, after all this sordid business, I hope all goes well this evening. I have corrected our course, given some of the traditional navigational tools I kept in my quarters for emergencies. We will take slightly longer to reach Ogasawara to ensure that we can deal with the changes in our positions without the computer systems. For our sake, I hope nothing else goes wrong. We will have some new paintings in the dining hall momentarily. What do you have in mind to entertain you this evening?"

Spoiler: Day 2 Story
With peace seemingly restored, the guests goes back to their usual routine. You decide to enjoy the splendour of the ship. After the sordid business of throwing someone overboard, you feast on a Korean-themed dinner (some of you had it earlier). While eating, you notice the new paintings. Like last night, the same guest starts to sing praises and exult the brilliant use of colours and shadows to portray the raw emotion of each of these scenes in the bible. It's not that you don't appreciate the art, but the guest can keep you there for what feels like an eternity when you know you can't appreciate it that much.

After your meal, you and a few other guests leaves for the card tables. Someone suggested bridge during dinner. A traditional card game of camaraderie. A few guest stays to watch the outcome. At the same time, the guests pet the cat and feeds it as the games continue. Later on, you play a few games of baccarat, which the crew is happy to oblige. (After all, they have had nothing to do in the last few days as they waited for a guest.)

Elsewhere, you decide to see the fish that everyone has been talking about in the submersible. You think you see a few squids this time. They seem anything but gentle to you. Luckily, the squid's attention seems to be on the fish. You wonder if larger squids see the submersible in the same way little squids see fish. You shudder at the thought.

On the top deck, you decided to have some relaxing herbal tea and look at the beautiful stars. Another guest does the same while drinking beer in a sauna.

Elsewhere, while enjoying some of the musical talents onboard, you notice one guest lying on a couch in the corner. He/she (unknowable due to the powerful disguise of the mask) lays on the couch, a few bottles of wine lying beside him/her. The guest has passed out for quite a while now. Before that, the crew tried to get him/her to return to his/her room, but the shooing gestures said more than enough for you. Everyone, including the bartender left him/her there for the night. After all, we got rid of the murderer, right?
----------------
The sun again wakes you in the morning. You finish your morning rituals (putting on make-up, brushing your teeth, brushing your hair, putting on the right clothing for the public), and head down for your breakfast. Not only do you not find that nothing has been prepared, you hear a small crowd where the lounge is. As you head over to the lounge, Captain Buregu appears and bars your way.

"I'm sorry, but it seems that we have not stopped the murderer yet."

You wait again for the remaining guests to appear. Captain Buregu begins, "So it seems we have another murder. Someone broke into the kitchen and took out one of the knives. The guest who stayed here last night, because of his/her insistence on staying out here, made him/herself an easy target."

The captain steps aside, allowing you to see dumytru, who was drunk on the lounge couch last night. The captain takes off the mask, and reveals the face of Jodie Starling.

On dumytru's body was the following note:
Spoiler:

>> Followed somebody
"We're going to cordon off this part of the lounge for the police when we get to Ogasawara. I hope none of you have any objections. Well, it seems we didn't get rid of the murderer or he/she has not changed his/her ways. I guess it's time to vote who's going overboard. Also, what will you do today?"
Spoiler: Night 3 Story
Since the brutal stabbing this morning, you panicked for a brief moment. How can this murderer not be found despite the crew here?

Because of dumytru's death, everyone is on high alert. No one seems to be able to swallow much of their breakfast after the news. However, everyone's mood changes after breakfast. They all must have had an idea as to who they should vote off the cruise yacht. It might just be the sun.

You and a few other guests decide to take a swim in the pool today. Someone got a few pool toys out. A rubber ducky. One guest decides to enjoy the sun and do some cartwheels in the exercise room. One starts thinking up how to make a mini-golf course that would stump another guest. No one is sure how that would be implemented on board the cruise yacht. Two of the guests get a little more personal than most of the other ones. Maybe they really trust each other.

One of you decides to take out a patio chair and sit by the pool. You don't want to be alone in case something happens. You also want to know what everyone is thinking. What if they want you dead?

That is actually a good idea. One guest (who appeared to be quite intoxicated) tries to cop a feel on a crew member's bum. She squeals in terror. The partner to the crew member starts a brawl with that guest. You're lucky you're not so secluded from everyone else.

By lunch time, one of you got to use the kitchen and cook up a storm. On the table is everything you want to eat. It hits the right spot. You need some comfort food to remind you that there is a life after this cruise. A reminder of the world you can reach again. A reminder that not all hope is lost.

The rest of the day continued with people moving about the pool and enjoying the sun. Some left briefly to put in their votes.

As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, you all gather again by the dining hall. You wait expectantly for any news. Captain Buregu looks through the votes in the voting box. "Well, let's see here... oh my, it seems we have a tie. In that case, I guess no one is walking the plank today."

"Does this mean we're all good friends now? Or are the evildoers making it hard for us to do justice? Whatever it is, I hope you all have a pleasant evening. There are a lot of fun things to do. We'll be keeping these paintings up until tomorrow morning if you wish to enjoy them."

Spoiler: Day 3 Story
Dinner was silent. You can even hear the murmurs in the kitchen. This is too much. You can't bear it anymore.

You shout at the top of your lungs. "That's enough. I was going to go swimming to relax, but this won't do at all. Everyone, I'm going to sing karaoke tonight for any and all songs. I don't care if the song was a hit from grandparent's childhood, but I'll sing it with anyone who comes."

You storm out of the dining hall and into the lounge. Despite the crudely placed tape around the couch, you take up the remote and choose a random song.

The karaoke player slowly starts and plays this. Not the best choice, you admit, but anything to get this party started.

Eventually, the guests gravitate towards the singing. The guests joins throughout the evening and late into the night. Some decided to get some oldies out of the way, like this one. Some were embarrassing to hear. Look, you can't woo anyone with that this century. No one said the singing was going to be pretty though. One guest try to sing Mai Kuraki's Revive. She runs out of breath half way while dancing like Mai and butchered the song. One can't help but put on his favourite singer's song at the first possible moment. Most of the guests feel rejuvenated after singing this.

One even reads a book by Italo Calvino, which recounts the experience of a reader reading about a reader in the second person, who goes on an adventure chasing after several unfinished books to read the parts after the climax of the story found in each of them while listening to the singing. He knows he'll butcher all of the songs, but is enjoying the atmosphere. One guest was swaying his hip and swinging a golf club on the top of the deck in sync with the singing. The fluorescent tape around the golf balls made them glow as they flew out port side and starboard side.

After what seems like forever, the guests got tired and retired to their suites for the night. You feel at the top of the world. Even if the murderer still remains on the yacht, everyone is at least a little happier about their situation.

You hum a good beat as you head back to your suite and retire too. You think to yourself, "I can't wait for tomorrow".
----------------
You wake up. The sky is a little cloudy and realize that this is quite late compared to the other days. Maybe it was the late night singing you did. After dressing up, you make your way to the dining hall. Everyone is in a cheery mood. They're devouring their deluxe continental breakfast with glee, even though continental breakfast is such a traditional meal. You can hear some people humming the karaoke songs from last night.

All of a sudden, you hear a scream coming down from one of the lower decks. All the guests rush down and see a crew member sitting on the floor of Deck Three. Her face is of complete fright, her arms pointing into the guest suite of Raiden. You rush in and find a charred head sitting in the middle of the room, nearly unidentifiable to that of a human on board. To make things worse, the head appears to be held by a pair of marker-drawn hands from Raiden's stationery, and a giant eraser placed on top of the head. Except for the giant eraser and the burning, the scene looks eerily like David handing Goliath's head to Saul. Everyone all frantically search the cruise yacht and cannot find a trace of Raiden to be sure that this isn't a silly prank. Raiden is nowhere to be found.

"Even I'm annoyed now at these murders." Captain Buregu exclaims, "Come on now, let's decide who is the most suspicious of us all and throw this scoundrel overboard!"

Two of the crew members come up to Captain Buregu and whispers. "Oh? Okay." The captain clears his throat. "It seems a police officer on board searched a guest's suite when that guest was not around. Tsk tsk. That officer didn't find anything criminal from that person. As a result, that officer is now suspended from doing any such activity for the while."

The captain then whispers, "Um... This is probably the worse time to say this, but we'll be putting out some new Rembrandt paintings for the day. I hope you enjoy them. We'll probably be reaching Ogasawara in about 36 hours."
Spoiler: Night 4 Story
The missing body and burnt head got everyone angry. Angry like a mob. Remember that scene from Beauty and the Beast when the entire town carried torches and pitchforks to Beast's castle? Well, everyone is the mob, and you are the Beast. Yes yes. You (plural) can't all be the Beast. However, there's no word to describe that glare of pure hatred when anyone stares at you. Truth be told, that's how you stare at everyone.

For that reason, you barely notice the crew members switching out the paintings as you finish your breakfast. Instead of several scenes of the bible, you now observe paintings from Rembrandt's earlier years. Of particular interest to collectors is the allegory of senses. Most have heard of the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell and taste. Rembrandt has especially drew these at the beginning of his artistic career. Languishing recently in a basement of a New Jersey home was the allegory of smell. Some poor bloke decided to auction the stuff inside his basement. They originally thought that the frame which encased the painting would sell more than the painting itself. Soon they found that they made more than $870,000 USD from the painting. Since the reunion, the paintings have been touring around the world to be seen by all. If you wonder how the senses can be captured in a painting, look no further.

Their magnificence is displayed in the dining hall in the following order:
The Spectacles-Pedlar (An Allegory of Sight)

The Three Singers (An Allegory of Hearing)

The last painting doesn't exactly fit the senses, but it is an "allegory", so the crew member in charge of transporting the painting tells you.

For the rest of the day, you and everyone else lurks around the ship. Spying. Scheming. Plotting. Snooping. Sleuthing. Spying on the spies who spy you. No one cared for any of the activities on board. A certain name has been whispered many times. Few of you even notice the guest who decided to feed some fish in the sea and tend to the kitty that has somehow gotten on board.

At long last, the sun begins to dip below the horizon. You and all the guests gather by the submersible platform once again. Captain Buregu starts to count the votes. He starts throwing the paper as though they all looked the same. "Well, it seems we have a very strong majority today." Suddenly, the life vest drops from the hook holding it up. Captain Buregu turns over and shrugs, "So, Kamite, what have you to say for yourself?"

Kamite defiantly walks up to the edge of the water. "You all think I'm guilty? What a bunch of losers. You all don't even know when someone's screwing with your minds. I'm sure my dying will can enlighten you all."

Kamite hands over the sheet of paper to the captain. At that moment, Captain Buregu seize the mask on Kamite, and reveals Camel.

"Well... I guess it's time to say goodbye huh." With that, Kamite dives straight into the water, jumping off the plank set up by the starboard side.

The stunned Captain Buregu eventually speaks, "I guess... that's that then. Here's the note for you all to see." The note flashes before your eyes:
Spoiler:
Raiden was INDEED Sonoko

Observe Raiden Night 1 he was a teen.
Observe Kleene Night 2: SHE CANT ARREST AT ALL.

Kleene: Shaking my head that you trusted others before me. Such a shame. I hope BO APTX you next day. No hard feelings.

Yuri: Why did you lied about Conia knowing your role, and afraid you were aptx?
he knows my action and therefor my role really...
I doubt he's bo but you never know shrugs
I mean, I took the risk of telling him so I guess I'll find out eventually :x
Only for you to tell me this later on.
I've never talked to conia
You told me Conia knew your role, and you confirm it to him, and now telling me that you never contacted him? That is really interesting.

Abs: Nothing on him since wont tell me anything from the get co. Dont blame him, but we could have done something.

SA: Ask him to check if Raiden could be the benefactor. Told me he could check on it, but later claim he didnt found anything at all. Which is weird since I got this from Rai from you:
Due to process of elimination and info that's been gathered, I have reason to believe that you're uhh.. 100% not the benefactor! (unless I messed up reading the rules V;) I mean you could still be BO but here's a start to a plez-dun-kill-meh alliance \o/
Giogio: Contacted her Day 1 no word from her at all. Only to be contacted her yesterday due to Kleene's post asking why. From there nothing else AT ALL. I find this especially weird since she been ACTIVE this round.

Why lie to me, you too seems suspicious about this. Are you allied with the benefactor, or are you the benefactor?

You know whats the best part? I stakeout Raiden Night 3 on a whim and was going to follow up Giogio for the murder oh well. Nothing else happened to raiden just Killed and Erased. The killer was Male, most likely the eraser.

One more thing, should be the obvious, but I AM NOT THE BENEFACTOR.
"It's another evening. There's roughly 24 hours until we reach Ogasawara. I hope you all get a chance to enjoy some of the delights we have for you. The musicians are going to play some music to help you get into the feel of an Arabian Night. I believe we're serving some Ethiopian cuisine tonight. It may be a little uncouth to some of you, but I'm sure the flavour will win you over. Finally, I hope you all get to enjoy some of the painting here. I can tell no one was in the mood for these interesting art pieces today."

The Captain smiles, "Who knows? We may even have gotten rid of the killer. So let me know how I can accommodate your needs tonight."

Spoiler: Day 4 Story
Dinner is a little strange. For one, Ethiopian cuisine does not use utensil. The chefs and servers have warned you to only use your right hand, for the use of the left hand is considered disgusting, given what traditionally the left hand is used to do.

There are platters of wat, which is a thick stew of chopped red onions with other vegetables for different flavours. There are also tibs of various sauteed vegetables, kitfo (rare beef mince marinated in a spicy chili powder), and ayibe, (a mild and crumbly cottage cheese). They all sit atop the injera, a large sourdough flatbread which is ripped into small pieces to pick up these dishes.

You find it hard to get used to, but you try and rip out the injera and take different bite size portions of wat, tibs, kitfo, and ayibe. You notice one of the wat smells of carrots, and avoid it like the plague. Despite the strange eating method, you enjoy the meal.

During dinner, you stare hard at the paintings. You realize that one of them is actually blank. Not even a minimalist painting, but actually no canvas. You ask the waiters about it. It turns out that the allegory of taste is only rumoured to exist, and no one in the modern world knows what it even looks like, or the title of the painting by Rembrandt himself. An interesting choice given today's interesting food.

Some of you decide to stay longer and admire the painting. Some of you go to see the fish underneath the sea, which have changed somewhat now that you're approaching what the Captain believe is Ogasawara's coordinates. Some of you even took a dip in the hot tub. Luckily, the crew is there to remind you to leave before you stay too long. One of you slowly worms your way to the sound system setup in the lounge, and change the settings so that it blasts music out of it. For a brief moment, B'z songs started to play all around you. Some of you notice the fish dart away from the submersible when the music play.

Despite Kamite's ramblings, you all relax a little from the fear and death. Well, almost everyone calmed from the fear and death. One of you, fearing for the worse, shut yourself off after dinner in your suite. A beautiful night for you to be missing out. Definitely no FOMO here.
-----------------------
You wake up from a deep slumber. You are not even sure how you got to your bed. Regardless, it's a bright new morning, and you head out to the dining hall. On your way over, you notice one door open wide. shinichi'sapprentice's suite is bright. He lays on the bed, yet his eyes wide open. You knock on the door. He doesn't answer. You shout loudly as a greeting. He still doesn't answer. You run over to him and shake him up. The wat from yesterday's dinner drips down from his mouth and down his body onto the bed. The body is cold. You scream for help. As the rest of the people on board come rushing towards you, you take off the mask, and reveal the face of Shadowman, which is not really a face at all. It's like someone painted over it, but there's no paint. It's not black, like those of African descent. If anything, it's like a void, the endless space far above the skies. You scratch your head in puzzlement as you read a note lying on top of the bed drawers.

Oh, btw, my actions failed Night 1 V;

I hired Wright and he found Raiden not guilty on Night 2.

Lastly, Irish seems to be not around in this cruise!
-----------------------
"So it seems another murder has occurred last night," the Captain murmurs. "Well, you all know what we must do. Do not forget to eat. Save your strength for what's ahead. We'll be making some hard choices."
Spoiler: Night 5 Story
After seeing the body, you don't want to go near food for a while. The chefs didn't take any offense. They saw what was done with their food last night. In response to the murder last night, The chef leaves a few plates of dry solid food. None of it resembles anything you ate last night.

While contemplating your choice for the person going overboard, you decide to wander the halls of the cruise yacht. You stare out into the ocean. On the bright day, you see schools of fish trail behind the yacht. The engine noise scares them away, but in the distance, they seem to know that there's strength in numbers. You think about each and every person on board. Is there strength in numbers with them?

You look through the paintings again. The deaths seem to emulate the paintings. The beheading of (possibly) Raiden and the head of Goliath presented to Saul. The absence of the allegory of taste and the presence of all that shinichi'sapprentice could ever taste until his death. Who would do such a thing?

As you focus on the details (or lack thereof) on the painting, you notice it has a false back. You open the false back, but find that it's empty. Was something in there before?

You wonder about the connection between the Rembrandt and the murders. Why are they murdering from the paintings?

Too many questions. Too few answers. It's probably best to go with your gut today. Maybe Captain Buregu is right. Maybe you can scare off the murderer by a little crowd justice.

As the sun begins to set once again, you gather at the submersible platform.

Captain Buregu looks through the voting box and begins the "judicial" process, "It seems we once again have near unanimous agreement. Conia, please step forward."

Conia moves towards the edge of the platform. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?" the Captain asks.

Conia strikes a pose like one of those Korean dancers. "I'm Eisuke." You scratch your head, not sure if he's joking or not.

"Uh, I don't know what to say. Time to walk the plank." The captain brandishes a mop and pushes Conia towards the edge of the plan extending from the bow of the submersible platform. Conia reluctantly moves to the edge and falls into the water. The Kuroshio drags him away from the sunset.

A pill bottle labelled for a well known brand of laxatives floats to the surface where Conia jumped. That must be why some people went to the toilet for hours. At least, now you know you won't be getting laxatives in your food, right?

Spoiler: Day 5 Story
While the captain seems to be quite happy, you are not. The captain is rejoicing over justice being done by the traditions of his birthplace. You are not. The captain notices that you (plural) seem to be very paranoid of one another, of how anyone might stab you in the back.

The captain announces, "Ho ho! I see that not all of you agree with the traditions of my homeland. I assure you, this will bring us closer to justice. The killer will eventually be discovered and sent overboard. Hmm..." The captain thinks deeply, "Everyone! I believe you all require a 'mandatory' massage therapy and salon session." The captain puts his hands up doing air quotes.

As you make it back to the dining hall after the voting, you notice the crew finish moving some new paintings. The theme, quite apparently, is self-portrait. These are several different self-portraits of Rembrandt himself. As you look at the painting, you can even find how his art style changes over his career.

The crew tells you that Rembrandt passed away in 1669. It must have been a tragic time for the painter. His last surviving son died half a year earlier. None of these paintings are a true reflection of the painter. It is well known that the painting with Rembrandt's wife is done with a model in place of himself. Some of the paintings even depict himself as historical figures. Maybe we never really see ourselves for who we really are. Maybe we never can.

All these paintings gets you thinking about the deaths on this cruise. The paintings remind you of the people you've all agreed to throw overboard and the people who have died horrible deaths. That boy, Eisuke, just accepted his fate like that. Did Eisuke do something wrong? Did he repent? Did anyone bothered to know who this young gentle soul truly is? Did anyone consider how he was robbed of his peace, his life? Did anyone consider how he will have no ambition, no destiny, no future? What about the others? Who will we notify about Raiden's death? What about the lives of all those sailors? What about all the other recently departed souls?

The questions leave your mind as you attend your "mandatory" massage therapy session. The crew adds several more pairs of staff in preparation for this. Your worry is kneaded from your body. Your confidence is bolstered by another layer of beautiful decoration on your lacquered fingernails. You eat a healthy salad afterwards to cleanse all that bad stuff from your body. (there's really no need to say how all that bad stuff is to be cleansed, is there?). You then go to bed, with nary a worry in mind.
------------------------
As dawn comes, you notice something strange. You don't feel the waves on the hull. You don't feel the rocking of the yacht. You run out and notice a door to a suite open. The door to cinnamoroll's suite is open. There is no one inside, save for a broken mirror in the bathroom. Suddenly, Captain Buregu screams with dire distress. You all run towards the bridge. On the ship's wheel lies cinnamoroll, the mask lying to the side. Her body is covered in glass shards like those of the bathroom mirror. Her hands are placed through the gaps in the wheel, and they hold a piece of the mirror. It is hard to tell, but the mirror seems to reflect the face of Haibara to herself. Someone wants to tell us that someone isn't seeing herself as who she really is. You're afraid to find out the answer.

You find on her body a note. It reads as follows:
Spoiler:
Image
On the first day I spent some time with kamite, didn't get the evil scent from him (but why did he say he was put to sleep :x I couldn't ask, because he'd figure me out >_>).
T_T I'm sorry I voted you Meme T_T
Day 2 I hung out with Raiden, he only had the scent of freshly baked bread on him.
Sorry I helped lynch you kamite, I couldn't get why you lied about the sleeping pill (I still don't :x).

Been speaking Link and Kleene. I trust them :3
(Good luck town! \o/)
The captain seems to care little for the body and stares out the bow of the yacht. You follow your gaze as well. You do not see the blue ocean, but you see a piece of rock in front of the yacht.

"Well, bad news, it seems there are still murderers aboard this vessel. Not only that, it seems they have somehow moored us onto either Muko or Nakodojima Island. Good news, the boat appears functional. At least, that's what I think given that all my engineering crew is dead or missing. It'll take the whole of the day to get it running. I hope."

A pair of the crew runs up to Captain Buregu and whispers. "Again?!" The Captain blurts out loudly. "It seems that another person claiming to be a police officer showed a badge and started to rummage through the rooms looking for evidence of a crime. Unfortunately, this police officer didn't find any. Again, we took away the officer's badge and suspended him/her. How he/she get these warrants still confuses me."

"Anyways, it's a new day. Time to decide who to throw overboard. We'll try to get ourselves out of the rock so that we can continue our journey towards Ogasawara. We can see it off in the horizon."
Spoiler: Game Ends
Once you start on your breakfast, you ask the captain on why he cared so much about hitting the boat on the piece of rock you now are stuck on, way more so than a dead person.

"You see, the islands around Ogasawara has a lot of history and unique qualities to it. The group of island around Ogasawara are all considered Bunin-jima (無人島), meaning no people live here. It was due to a little trickery by someone named Ogasawara Sadayori claiming that their ancestors (the Ogasawara) came from the island that Toyotomi Hideyoshi gave the island (chichijima 父島) to them. Once Toyotomi found out, he was exiled from the land. Except for the events in World War Two turning the island into a military base for both Japanese and American troops, there is little to be found here. The reason the islands are unique is that the islands have not been in contact with any of the lands nearby, thus making the evolution of the flora and fauna on these islands unique to the rest of the earth. Some dubbed the island 'the Galapagos of the Orient', though I detest that name. As a matter of fact, UNESCO has declared these islands as a world heritage in June of 2011. The fact that my ship may have destroyed the unique life that we'll never find elsewhere on earth makes the devastation a little more serious than the dead body which I can't help anymore."

The Captain sighs, "I've seen enough dead bodies too that I am a little numb to the deaths now. Anyways, I'll let you all enjoy your day. Please don't leave the ship, so that we don't tarnish the natural beauty. You're welcome to see first hand what is here now that we're stuck here."

Although you are no botanist or biologist, you can admire the beauty here. Maybe life can be like this. Maybe you can simply relax here and let life be. Make the old island name obsolete. Despite all the horrible events, you can't say you haven't had an exciting summer vacation.

Eventually, the sun is setting and you leave your votes in the voting box. You wait for the results.
----------------------------------------------------------
Henry Gordan is not having a good day. It's the second time getting your badge taken from you. None of the murders seemed to make sense. To calm yourself down, you stay in the sauna for a bit and have a few pints of beer while soaking. Some time half way during your sauna, Yurikochan enters the sauna and brings in a few pints of her own. "You want some?"

"Sure, I don't mind another one. It's been a terrible week for all of us." Henry Gordan reaches out for a bottle.

"It sure has." Yurikochan takes a bottle for Henry Gordan, stealthily slipping something into the bottle as she opens it. "So, Henry, do you think we'll all make it off this cruise yacht in Ogasawara?"

"I think so. My pride believes that Japan will not abandon us." Henry Gordan takes a sip out of the new cold beer.

"I hope for your sake that Japan will not abandon us. Well, at least me."

Henry Gordan warily glances at Yurikochan. Suddenly, Henry Gordan starts to dissolve from the inside. "So I guess I was right. You are Shiratori!"

"Wait... YOU are the killer all along? You ended shinichi'sapprentice's life?"

"Since you are about to die, I'll tell you. Yes, it was me. I can see that the new APTX is working as expected. Goodbye."

Yurikochan takes out a machine, collects a little bit of the pool that was Shiratori, and place it into the machine. The machine reads: "20 hours remaining until new APTX".
----------------------------------------------------------

"This is some sort of mistake. Plus, how are you going to send me overboard?"

"Actually, I was just going to tie you up here. I'll take any notes you have for the rest of us if you wish."

"Well, here you go." Kogorou hands over the paper. The Captain shows all of you the note.
Spoiler:
Oof, guess I couldn't be much help. My action didn't go through on night four, which is a shame since I was guarding SA. Began speaking with Kleene on Day 4, and told Kleene 'I could have stopped SA from dying'
The captain finds a few extra votes hidden in the voting box and reads them, "Uh... what is this? Why am I getting voted? Wait... aren't these people dead? No... the ancestors are ANGRY with me. The ghosts that haunt us has spoken. I must atone for this. I cannot be allowed to live. Worry not, esteemed guest. A few of the crew know how to weld. I checked earlier. Do not fret. You will return to safety by tomorrow's time."

The captain jumps off the boat and swims away from land. Eventually the sky darkens and you cannot see the captain anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------
Now late at night, Yurikochan enters the lounge and heads for the bar. "I'll have a Bourbon please." One of the two bartenders pours out the drink. As the evening went on, Abs. enters the lounge as well in a garb that is a little bit red. The bartenders dismiss it, thinking an accident with the tomatoes at dinners, since the room has such low lighting anyways. He orders a Tequila.

"So, how did things go on your end, Tequila?" The bartenders thinks they're nicknames for each other because of their drinks and wandered away to clean some glasses.

"Oh Bourbon, it all went well. Vermouth found the package in one of the goods. The Portrait of a Young Gentleman with Jan Six as the model was a fake and contained it. Apparently, it was recently authenticated and bought by a descendant of Jan Six, and is still currently in his possession. Also, I've dealt with the loose ends below."

"That must have been a handful. Did Vermouth help out with her silencer?"

"Of course. She did ruin her favourite costume. She was really mad about that."

"Ah, that must have been a scene. I wish I was there to see it."

"I would have taken a picture, but you know how she gets around a camera. Anyways, did you get through to Rum?"

"Ah yes, the satellite phone worked like a charm. Chianti is coming with a special ride. They'll make this place 'sparkle' so she says. We probably don't want to be around when that happens."

"Oh good. I'll get the inflatable ready."

As Tequila leaves, Iwamoto Yuri walks in with a different attire than this morning. "Hello boys! Get me a Vermouth, will you?"

Vermouth takes her drinks and sits down next to Bourbon. "We've got everything. Are you ready to clean up?"

Bourbon downs the bourbon, "I thought you'd never ask."

Bourbon jumps the counter and dashes towards the closer bartender. Vermouth takes out her pistol with a silencer attachment and aims at the farther bartender. At the same time, the bartenders are knocked unconscious, by bullet or by the deadliest kick.

Without a sound, they both head towards the suite of Kleene Onigiri. They lockpick the door and sneak in. Vermouth takes the gun and quickly shoots her in the head. Removing the mask, they find Makoto lying on the bed, with this note by her side.

- I was tricked on N2, which I didn't announce in order to pretend to be a day-action role. Was frightened on D2.
- Protect used
N1: Raiden
N2: Raiden
N3: Gio (which is why Raiden died T_T)
N4: SA (I wasn't tricked and I didn't die instead, so my conclusion is that SA was bribe killed T_T)
They continue on in the same fashion to the suites of MoonRaven (Kazuha) and Giogio (Naeko).

The following note (from Naeko) reads as follows:
Spoiler:
Kleene and Moonie are fully trustworthy. (the cop, please contact them! (heres hoping I'm not currently lynching the cop))

Crime reports:

N1: trick
N2: abduct
N3: sabotage
N4: abduct
Vermouth, Bourbon meet up with Tequila by the submersible platform with the message, the package, and the key to the package (and the kitty). Tequila has finished inflating the lifeboat disguised within his suitcase. They all row out from the boat, and Chianti picks them up in a helicopter.

Then Chianti unleashes the machine gun on the boat, shredding it to pieces and hitting the fuel reserve. In a few moments, the cruise yacht explodes, destroying both the natural beauty of the Ogasawara islands and the people on board the cruise.

You hold the ticket in your hands. Sure you had the most exciting and dramatic of summers, but no one will ever know.

Game Ends! BO Wins!

Spoiler: GM notes for end of game
GM notes to the ending result: The criteria for ending the game was discussed in great detail in the graveyard (aka Deck One). Due to the events in Night 5, Kazuha was not able to stop the APTX target for Day 5. At the same time, Kazuha is not able to vote. Since Yuriko's psychic powers (and the BO's inductive powers) have locked onto Henry's role, this will reduce the number of players to 7 (3 BO vs. 4 Town). If ALL of town were to vote for a single target, it can tie with BO when they vote all on the same target. If that is the case, since Kazuha's player is not known to the BO, the game would continue.

If anyone in town did not vote when all of BO vote, this will lead to a total of 6 players remaining (3 BO vs. 3 Town), which is our current circumstance when darkest absol decided to abstain from voting. In this case, the only protector can at best stall for one night, but would find that they would at best tie the votes when one of them is frightened (leading to 2 v 2 votes with corresponding accompany target). The town has no recourse for what the BO can dish out. Eventually, the BO will win in this case.
----------------------------------------------------------
GM notes to the game: You have all played valiantly to the bitter end. There were times when I thought I made one side too powerful, and then flips immediately to the other side. Despite all that, the game seemed to introduce just enough unknowns for you all to try hard. You all were (from what I can tell) extremely paranoid, but you all did your best in your own way. I'm glad that some of you have written back on my PM with your own story to continue the story of you enjoying this cruise. I'm glad to have written and hosted this game for all of you.

By the way, the PM messages you all got were more unique if your roles involved... crimes, so you're welcome to share those so that others can enjoy the story with you too.
PM me in forum or DM me on discord for spectator access.

The following posts are taken from Round 74, with a few changes. The major ones affecting gameplay will be highlighted in the changelog (post #5).

Post 1: General Notes for the game
Post 2: Rules
Post 3: Roles
Post 4: Actions
Post 5: Changelog and Phase change posts

Game will begin (i.e.: prep phase begins) on 22:00 PDT on September 19, 2018 (and 01:00 EDT/06:00 BST/07:00 CEST/13:00 PHT on September 20, 2018).

NOTE: Phase changes for this round will be 48 hrs. 46 hrs to submit actions, with a 2-hour stand-by phase.
During the 2 hrs stand-by NO ACTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Only wills can be updated. This is to promote healthy sleeping behaviours, and so that all players (and GM) will experience a minimal impact on the other aspects of your life (except for how Mafia makes us paranoid and sleepless; even I can't fix that).

Phase change will be at 22:00 PDT/01:00 EDT/06:00 BST/07:00 CEST/13:00 PHT every OTHER day unless something comes up (I'll try to let you know in advance). Actions are due two hours before phase change. Anything submitted after that time will not be counted.
-----
Important Notes: read before you sign up!

- Make sure you're available to/plan to actually play the game! Do not join if you do not intend to play the game. If you sign up to play, you are expected to send in actions, vote, etc. Please send a message each night/day phase to confirm you are voting no one.

- Role-handoffs (for BO/Friends/DBs only)! Each person may only be responsible for up to one other person's actions at any time. That means Gin cannot be handing in actions for him, Vermouth, Anokata, Chianti and Bourbon in the same phase. This has been a problem several times in the last ten games or so; GM will not let that happen again. It's not fair to put all the pressure of handing everything in on your teammate and not do anything yourself. You must PM the GM with who will be handling your actions, otherwise it will not be accepted!

- Minor Note: For the BO, everyone may not be around close to phase change due to timezones, and sometimes things need to be changed at the last minute, so here's the deal: if you send in a preliminary action with a note saying the BO can change it, then any BO member can change that action if they need to. If you do not send in a preliminary action, then only a designated BO member is handling no more than their own actions already may submit an action for you.

To clarify:
If Vermouth is not going to be around close to phase change but submits her actions with a note saying the BO can change it, then any BO can change it. If she does not submit actions at all, then she must choose a BO member who is only handling their own actions for that phase to submit her actions. If she does neither of these things, it will be a strike against her.

Town members who are not part of a group may not hand their role off to another player.
Disclaimer: GM has the right to change this at their discretion.

- The gameplay will be facilitated by the use of Discord! Discord is an efficient tool for communicating with other players (and joining in the banter), and you are highly encouraged to join Discord for that purpose. Note: It is not required to use Discord to play. Actions, Wills, and phase changes are updated on the forum as per tradition. Details for joining Discord are given to all players during prep phase.

Remember guys, everyone affects everyone else in this game!

Rules

Overview

Gameplay
Detailed explanation of how the game works.
Spoiler:
Roles and Actions
— Players are typically split into two factions: Black Organization vs Town (Police, FBI and Civilians). In general, the ratio of BO to town will be between 1/3 to 1/4 (that means between a third to a quarter of players would be BO). It is at the liberty of the GM to balance the roles as they see fit, however, so this ratio is intended to be a guideline only.
— Players are given their roles and therefore their alignment during beginning of Prep Phase or Night 1. Each role has its own set of actions that can be performed during phases. It is highly recommended that players check what actions are available to them when they receive their role from the GM.
— To use an ability or vote, you must PM the order directly to the GM (and co-GM, if applicable). Those submitted in the main channel do not count.
— You may provide the GM with a will to be presented at the time of your death (unless you are erased). A typical will usually summarizes a player's actions and intel they have gathered to that point, resulting in something along the lines of: "Will: I interrogated Conia and got Black Org on Night 1. I interrogated PhoenixTears on Night 2 and got Not Black Org." Your will, unless erased, will be provided by the GM after your death is announced (whether it be by lynching, APTX, or just a routine killing). The GM has a right to censor any will if they feel it reveals too much or it is game-breaking.
— You may always send in a new order/will to replace your old one, assuming the phase has not yet ended.
— If multiple incompatible actions are submitted by a player, the last valid action prior to the countdown ending will be the one played. If no compatible actions are submitted, none will be entered.

Phases
— Game always begins in Prep Phase and progresses to Night 1, Day 1, Night 2 and so on.
— Each phase is 24 hours long although it is ultimately at the discretion of the GM.

Killing/APTXing
— Every night phase, The Black Organisation may send a kill for one player.
— The Black Org is expected and encouraged to consult with one another on who to kill during the night and possible lynch votes during the day. A private channel for the Black Org to discuss strategies is provided in every round by the GM.
— Every member of the Black Org must kill successfully before a member is allowed a second kill. The exceptions to this is if a member is unable to kill due to being arrested or lynched, in which case they are no longer factored in to the kill cycle. Once the cycle has been completed once, a new order may be decided.
— Every member of the Black Org may use an APTX assuming there are enough remaining. Unlike with the nightly kills, there is no restriction on how many may participate. Each member is limited to using just one APTX per day phase, however.
— The Black Org may kill or APTX a fellow member if they so wish.

Voting
— Everyone is allowed to vote during day phases, whether they be from the town or the Black Org. You may only not vote if you are dead, arrested, or were hindered by an ability (such as Frighten). The player who has the most votes is lynched.
— Each player's vote is made public at the end of each day phase unless Voice of Reason or Protect was successfully used.
— If a player was poisoned by APTX or arrested, their vote for that phase will not count or be shown.
— Players may abstain from voting.
— If a lynch fails due to the one with the most votes being Accompanied, Arrested or APTXed, or Sabotage causing a tie, votes will still be shown as usual, but there will be a note that the lynch failed.
— If, after Kazuha's Accompany has been taken into account, two players receive the same number of lynch votes in a phase, and one is APTXed or arrested, the other will not be lynched.
— If a single person with the most lynch votes is either arrested or APTXed in the same phase, there will be no lynch.

Crimes
— If a crime is hindered by discombobulation or other ability, it is treated as having failed and thus didn't happen.
— List of abilities that constitute crimes: Killing (whether it be of the normal, sniping, or APTX variety), Disguising, Slandering, Bribing, Discombobulating, Abducting, Erasing, Sabotaging, Frightening, Stealing, Drugging via Sleeping Pill. CHOOSING COSTUMES IS NOT A CRIME.
— Using the Black Suitcase for any fake action is not a crime, including using it to fake a crime. Considering that action never actually took place, it will not count as a crime. If you however use it to bribe, slander or blame that is considered a crime.
— Being a member of the Black Organization is, in itself, not a crime. (You can't arrest Conia for being Gin.)

Actions & Arrest/Death
— If someone is killed, lynched, or arrested, their action for that phase will not go through and will fail. The only exceptions to this are arrests and poisonings with APTX. Arrests can stop APTX. Lynchings, on the other hand, do not.
— If Kazuha was successfully poisoned and accompanied someone that was about to be lynched over the 1 vote difference, the reduction of that 1 vote fails (aka, the accompany fails) and the target of accompany will be lynched instead.

Auto-Arrest (House Search/Face Pinch)
— If a house search uncovers a crime of any sort, the target is automatically arrested.
— If a face pinch is performed on a player and that player is in disguise (whether they are town or Black Org), the target is automatically arrested.
— Auto-arresting is a feature of these abilities and does not otherwise apply to other actions. For example, a crime uncovered via an investigation action does not yield an auto-arrest (even if it is being carried out by a police officer).

Condition
— All players begin the game "alive" in normal condition. Over the course of the game, their condition may worsen to one of the following states:

Alive: Player is able to use any of their abilities within the rules. They may also discuss the ongoing game freely and participate in lynch voting.
Injured: Player is unable to use any abilities and also loses any of their passive abilities (including any actions of disguises they may have been wearing). The exceptions are the nightly killing for Black Org members (they may still carry out a kill at night) and the handing out of the suitcase during the day. Injured players may still participate freely in the game, including casting lynch votes and use items given to them by other players. Any actions (apart from arrest, APTX, suitcase actions, Bowtie/Watch and voting) used during the phase the player gets injured will fail.
Suspended: Police that attempt to arrest someone and are unsuccessful will be suspended for two phases following the arrest attempt. While suspended, the police officer in question will lose all abilities apart from voting and Bowtie/Watch and suitcase actions (for BO disguised as police). Any actions the police uses (apart from arrest, Bowtie/Watch, suitcase actions and voting) on the phase where they become suspended will fail.
Arrested: Player may not use any abilities, though they are also impervious to being poisoned or killed (unless Bribe is in effect). Any and all actions on arrested players will fail with the exception of Lawsuit to free them. They may speak and participate freely in the game, but they will remain unable to vote. Arrested players are considered "out" of the game when determining which side has won. The role of the arrested player will not be revealed at the time of arrest.
Dead: Player is killed during the course of the game. They may no longer participate in the game, but they will still win with their team should they come out the victors. Dead players may not share any information with living players after they have died, whether it be information they acquired prior to their death or after.

Black Org Hierarchy
— The Black Org has a leader (assuming he is in the game), referred to as Anokata. If Anokata is not present in the game, the next person in the Black Org list is the leader.
— The leader may designate the night kill target and give the order as such.
— If a member of the BO sends a kill, the leader can only override it with the killing BO's permission.
— The leader may not command a subordinate to use an APTX. They are limited to sending in only their own APTX order.

Win Conditions
- Black Organisation wins if the BO outnumbers the Town and there is no foreseeable way for the town to regain control of a day vote.
- Town wins when all the BO members are killed/lynched/arrested
- Whether the game ends is determined at the end of the phase, so if a player is due to be released during that phase they will be factored into the decision. Eg. Irish is supposed to be released from Detention the same phase where Chianti is arrested, and all other BO members are arrested/killed prior, the game will continue with Irish being the last remaining BO member.
Guidelines
Basic guide instructing how to participate fairly in the confines of the game.
Spoiler:
— Do not attempt to participate with more than one username. This is grounds for permanent banning from any and all future games.
— No petitioning the GM for information about the roles of other players or attempting to influence the tasks of the moderator (asking for certain hints, etc).
— You may not quote, screenshot, or otherwise duplicate or showcase messages from the GM to prove your role, actions, or results to a fellow player. You may, of course, claim to be a role in the course of the game whether it is your genuine role or not.
— You may freely PM other players and speak without restriction in the main channel (apart from the GM rule mentioned above) while you are still alive. Please refrain from discussing any facet of an ongoing game with a living player after you have died to avoid influencing the course of the game.
— You may generate false quotes, edits, and messages from other players in text form, but may not do so with concern to correspondence with the GM. Taking screen shots of PMs from other players is prohibited--keep the game in the realm of text.
Quick Reference

Order of Actions
Listing of which actions take precedent over others with pertinent examples.
Spoiler:
Order of Actions
— Being familiar with the order of actions will aid you in formulating strategies and understanding the flow of the game. The order of actions goes as follows:

Night Actions
Arrest > Discombobulate > Killing > House Search/Detain > Face Pinch > All other actions

Day Actions
Arrest > Detain (arrest) > Face Pinch > Charm (unless Kazuha is APTX'd and does not have the charm herself) > APTX > Lynching > All other actions > Detain (release)

Below are scenarios detailing several examples of the order of actions at play.

Scenario 1:
BACKGROUND: On Night 1, Abs (Gin) killed Kleene (Heiji). Now, on Night 3, Akonyl (Shiratori) feels he has sufficient evidence to attempt an arrest for Kleene's murder. Abs knows Akonyl is closing in and resolves to kill him.
PLAYER ACTIONS (Night 3):
Akonyl (Shiratori) sends in: Arrest Abs for killing Kleene on Night 1.
Abs (Gin) sends in: Kill Akonyl.
RESULT: Akonyl successfully arrests Abs. Akonyl is not killed. Because the order of actions dictates that arrest takes precedent over killing, Abs's kill fails completely. Even if Abs had targeted someone else instead of Akonyl, the kill still would have failed because it is prevented by arrest.

Scenario 2:
BACKGROUND: On Night 1, Abs (Gin) killed Kleene (Heiji). Now, on Night 3, Akonyl (Shiratori) feels he has sufficient evidence to attempt an arrest for Kleene's murder. Abs knows Akonyl is closing in and resolves to kill him. At the same time, PhoenixTears (Eisuke) has been convinced that Akonyl may be up to no good that night and plans to discombobulate him. In addition to the arrest attempt, Akonyl has decided to investigate Jd- (Araide) healing Parkur (Camel) that night to confirm him.
PLAYER ACTIONS (Night 3):
Akonyl (Shiratori) sends in: Arrest Abs for killing Kleene on Night 1. Investigate Jd- heals Parkur.
Abs (Gin) sends in: Kill Akonyl.
PhoenixTears (Eisuke) sends in: Discombobulate Akonyl.
Jd- (Araide) sends in: Heal Parkur.
RESULT: Akonyl successfully arrests Abs. Akonyl is not killed. Because the order of actions dictates that arrest takes precedent over killing, Abs's kill fails completely. Jd- successfully heals Parkur without issue, but Akonyl is told that his investigation has failed. This is due to the discombobulation by PhoenixTears. Because arrest takes precedent over all other actions, the discombobulate does not affect it. Discombobulate does affect investigations, however, which is why Akonyl's investigation failed while his arrest succeeded.

Scenario 3:
BACKGROUND: On the dawn of Day 3, the sole remaining member of the Black Organization, Miaka (Pisco), feels she has pofa (Satou)'s role nailed down. pofa is certain that Miaka was the murderer of Lynz (Ran) who died the previous phase on Night 3. As such, Miaka decides to APTX pofa and pofa decides to arrest Miaka.
PLAYER ACTIONS (Day 3):
pofa (Satou) sends in: Arrest Miaka for killing Lynz on Night 3.
Miaka (Pisco) sends in: APTX pofa as Satou.
RESULT: pofa successfully arrests Miaka. Miaka's APTX on pofa does not go through and town wins the game.

Order of Healing
— As a rule of thumb, if more than one protection or healing is performed on a target that is attacked, the one with the highest priority will succeed as all others fail. The current order of healing is as follows:

Voice of Reason > Snipe Guard > Watch Protection > Protect > Heal

— In the event the action with the highest priority was hindered (via discombobulation or a similar action), the healing action with the next highest priority will succeed in its place.
— Sniping bypasses healing. When someone is protected, the protected will survive, but the protector himself dies instead. If someone possessing the watch is attacked, they are protected. If someone possessing the watch is attacked by a sniper, they will survive but the watch will break and become unusable for the remainder of the game.
— Abilities that protect and heal only prevent the death of those that are named and targeted directly. This prevents the stacking of certain abilities, for example: If Ran possesses the watch and protects someone that is sniped, the watch will not save her because she was not the named, direct target. Ran will die, the watch will not come into play, and the targeted she protected will survive as usual.
— If the target of the night's kill is saved from being killed, the killer will be notified that the target was healed/protected (will not specify which) and the target will be notified that they were saved

Statuses
Certain roles have an inherent "status" associated with them that provide unique attributes and advantages.
Spoiler:
Black Org Leader
- Roles with that Status: Anokata or next in line in Black Org heirarchy
- Can order killings
- Can distribute the Black Suitcase each Day phase
Note: If the leader is arrested or lynched in the same phase he tries to hand out the Black Suitcase, the action will still go through.

Lovers
- Decided through the actions of Yumi during Prep Phase.
- Lovers know one another's actual identities.
- Cannot be Friends with Sonoko (read the following status for details), and Detective Boys cannot be lovers.
- When one lover dies, the other commits suicide that same phase. No amount of healing or protecting may prevent the death of a suicidal lover.
- A town/town pair wins along with the town. A Black Org/Black Org pair wins with the Black Org. A town/Black Org pair does not win with either the town or the Black Org. To win as such a tandem, they must kill all others.
- Lovers may still win while one or both are arrested.
- Lovers can protect each other with the ability Lovey-Dovey.

Friends (BFF to be exact)
- Roles with status: Sonoko and her friend
- Friends know one another's identities, or just the disguise if one is disguised.
- Sonoko can use the same abilities as her friend, whether that person is dead or alive. (She may not arrest (includes pinch), house search, detain in any way or steal even if she befriends KID.)
- May not also befriend any Black Org members and may not befriend a Detective Boy.

FBI Leader
- Role with status: James Black
- At the onset of the round, the FBI Leader is given notice of how many of his subordinates (Jodie, Akai, Camel, Rena, Okiya, Rye, Kir) are in the game. This count includes Anokata/Vermouth/KID disguised as his subordinate but not if Yukiko/Irish disguised as his subordinate
- If Vermouth or Kid has a disguise of an FBI subordinate, regardless of if they use the disguise during the game, it will be counted in the subordinate list and James will receive a small hint akin to, "You believe something is strange with your subordinate(s)..."
Note: Akai/Jodie/Camel/Rena being Anokata will not count toward this notification, because they would not be in disguise. Anokata will be included in the number of FBI agents in the game if he's one of those roles, but there won't be anything strange about him. James can also receive Anokata's results in this case.
- If Okiya is in the game, regardless of if he's a disguise or not (including Anokata), James will receive the "You believe something is strange with your subordinate(s)..." message. (In the case of Vermouth/Kid-Okiya, he will NOT count as doubly strange.)
- After each night, James will receive only one result from his subordinates. This will happen even if James is discombobulated/sleeping pill'd
- With concern to Akai, James will receive only one of his investigations. In the case of Rena, James will receive only one of her actions (Betrayal, investigate, or Special Investigation), chosen at random. James can NOT receive bowtie results.
- James can NOT receive Okiya's Detect results.

NOC
- Roles with status: Rena
- Player gets to know how many Black Org members are present in the current game (not their identities). Anokata is included in this count.

Group
- Roles with status: Mitsuhiko, Ayumi, Genta
- Detective Boys are aware of one another's identities.

Mysterious Benefactor (NEW AND EXCLUSIVE TO THIS ROUND)
One of the people on this cruise is the mysterious benefactor of this cruise, the maker of the lottery game in which you all somehow won. The mysterious benefactor (a town role) gathered you all here for some malevolent purpose, and this will involve the death of three people on-board randomly chosen based on their roles in the game, which may be either BO or town. Unfortunately for the benefactor, to avoid suspicion, he/she has no idea who they are, except for a randomly generated list of 3 people on Night 1, two of which are not the people he/she wishes to be dead. This list may contain BO, who would want you dead because reasons. If you cannot end your targets, you would be devastated, and might (read: almost certainly) lead you to suicide.

In short:
- The mysterious benefactor is chosen randomly from one of the players who has a non-BO role.
- The mysterious benefactor cannot be a BFF or a lover.
- A randomly generated list of three roles will be sent to the mysterious benefactor. They can be either town or BO. The mysterious benefactor will attempt to use his/her ability, skill and cunning to find and end the life of the people with those roles.
- The means by which the life of the three targets are ended is irrelevant to the mysterious benefactor. Story-wise, this tells the mysterious benefactor that there are interlopers in his/her scheme and he/she might want to use this to his/her dastardly purposes.
- The mysterious benefactor is given a list of three player names at the beginning of the night 1. Two of those names are not his targets, and one of them is.
- The mysterious benefactor gains sabotage in addition to his/her abilities. If the mysterious benefactor happens to sabotage one of the three roles, the target will have his/her lynch votes increased by 2 instead of 1.
- The mysterious benefactor can also murder. His/her murder takes priority over the BO (in case they attempt to murder the same target). When that happens, the BO will be notified that someone has gotten to the murder first. For story reasons (and balance reasons), the BO won't be killing on Night 1. The BO will receive one abduct result in exchange for the loss of killing as a prep phase result (that's how they got those tickets FYI, but done by Gin who can't remember the faces of people ;) ). The abduct result is not a crime done by any of the players and is not a valid reason for arresting anyone on the cruise.
- The mysterious benefactor is told the number of living target each phase starting Day 1.
- When the players with the three roles are dead, the mysterious benefactor disappears from the game mysteriously, appearing as though arrested. Those three players must be dead, and cannot be behind bars.
- If he/she does not kill the roles before all the BO are dead, he/she will lose.
- The death of the mysterious benefactor will not be announced. Story-wise, there may or may not be a clue to his/her death.
- Since the mysterious benefactor can kill, the BO has to end the life of the mysterious benefactor to win the game.

Example:
SA = Ran, Yurikochan = Sherry, Kamite = Sera, Akonyl = Conan (the benefactor), PhoenixTears = Heiji, Conia = Gin, MoonRaven = Amuro, Yuri Iwamoto = Takagi

Akonyl receives on prep phase a list of the people he wishes to be dead because reasons: Ran, Sherry, Sera
GM randomly chooses to put either SA, Yurikochan, or Kamite's name on the list that Akonyl receives on Night 1 and randomly chooses two other names.
Akonyl receives on Night 1 the following sample list of known targets: MoonRaven, Kamite, Conia.

Depending on the number of people, the mysterious benefactor may be able to murder at night or can influence the lynch vote via a slightly improved sabotage (additional to their role's ability). When all his/her targets are dead, he/she wins and magically escapes the death cruise.

Roles

The Black Organization
Injured members of the Black Organization will lose all abilities (including snipe). Injured members may still kill each night, as well as utilize items such as the Black Suitcase, bow-tie, and tranquilizer watch.
For the following BO members, they may not use the same set of actions as each other on the same phase for balancing purposes: Gin, Vodka, Bourbon, Pisco, Tequila, Akemi
Example: if one of the BO member sabotage on Night 1, no other BO can sabotage and erase the kill on Night 1.

Spoiler:
Anokata, Mafia Boss
Status: BO Leader
Night action: Depends on role
Day action: Black Suitcase
Interrogation: Depends on role
Scent: Depends on role
Disguise: No
Items: Gun, Car keys, Alcohol + items of role
Observe: Depends on role
Note: Anokata can use the Black Suitcase during Night 1 for himself. During Day 1, it may be given to any member of the Black Org.
Note: Anokata will not be a "BO" role. Anokata can be any "town" role except children, Sonoko, Yumi, Kid, Yukiko, and Shadowman. Anokata will be able to use all the statuses and abilities of his role as if he were a town player. Since Anokata is not really a disguiser, Vermouth/KID may not disguise as his role. Sonoko will not befriend Anokata. When ID'd by DBs, Anokata can be positively ID'd as both his "town" role and as "Anokata." Additionally, Anokata can be investigated as disguised as his town role and it will come up TRUE, however it does not count as a crime when Cross-Examined/House Searched/Arrested and Pinch will not affect Anokata.

He may also erase the body of another BO's kill once per "kill cycle" (the cycle restarts when every BO member has had their turn to kill). Actions

Prep Actions
Spoiler:
Amor
Not investigable.
- Roles with action: Yumi
- Prep action
- Chooses six players. The amount that will become lovers depends on the GM.
- Best Friends and Detective Boys may not be lovers.
- Sonoko's ability takes precedent over Yumi's ability, meaning Friendship always takes precedent over Lovers.

Choose Costumes
Player chooses costumes. Only investigable through Special Investigate
- Roles with action: Yukiko, Irish
- Prep action
- During the preparation phase, the player will be given five possible roles they could disguise as. The player then chooses three of those to use in the course of the game.
- All disguises will be town roles. The player will NOT replace that role (differentiating it from normal Disguise). Even if they were to take the disguise of Shinichi, another player could still be Shinichi or Conan.
- Once Irish/Yukiko have their selected disguises, they can disguise that same phase, meaning they would be disguised N1.
- Choosing costumes is not a crime. Disguising, however, is.
- Once the player's last costume is used, they will be given a new list of disguises to choose from starting the following day (meaning they can be disguised again the next night). For example, if Yukiko is on her last disguise N3, D3 she will be given a new list and can disguise again immediately on N4.

Disguise
Player disguises as role. Only investigable through Special Investigate
- Roles with action: Vermouth, Kid
- Prep action, crime, remains so long as it is not removed due to an ability.
- Can be investigated.
- The GM will choose a role not in the game and give that disguise to the player on Night 1. So, this isn't really a prep phase ability anymore, but it doesn't make much sense as a status. The player will still be able to use their disguise abilities on Night 1, this is just because having Vermouth/Kid choose disguises amounted to nothing more than getting a random one anyway.
- The player is able to use all of the abilities that the role they're disguised as could use.
- Scent won't be taken. So 1412 disguised as Akai or Okiya etc, won't have a scent.
- Vermouth will always have a scent, whatever disguise she gets
- They can't disguise as: BO members, Conan, Haibara, Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko, Sonoko, Shadowman, Yumi, Kid or Anokata's role
- It is possible that KID and Vermouth obtain the same disguise, as they don't consider disguises as roles "in the game" when getting a disguise.
- The player will have items from his original role and from his disguised role. So he can have 2x gun in case 1412 or Vermouth disguises as a police officer.

Friendship
Player befriends player. Only investigable through Special Investigate
- Roles with action: Sonoko
- Prep action
- Sonoko names a list of players she would like to befriend (GM determines the exact amount of players to list).
- The Sonoko player will then randomly befriend one of those players. Sonoko and her friend will know one another's identities.
- Detective Boys and Black Org members cannot be befriended.
- Sonoko will not befriend Vermouth or Anokata, or any other BO member.
- Sonoko may use the abilities of her friends, with some exceptions. If Sonoko befriends a police officer, she will not be able to detain, arrest, or house search, or pinch. Sonoko may not steal, even if friends with KID.
- If Sonoko befriends a role with a "one-off" ability such as lawsuit or VoR, either Sonoko or her friend may use the ability, but it can only be used once during the game.
- Sonoko doesn't get a "double" of items like the watch, bowtie, and charm. If she befriends Agasa or Kazuha, either she or her friend can give them out each day, but there's only one of the item in the game to be given out. (If she befriends Kazuha, they can both use Accompany each day.)
- Sonoko can have passive abilities. If she befriends Akai however, she will not have vengeance. If she befriends Rena, she'll get the same betrayal results Rena does each night. If she befriends James, she'll get the same FBI results James does each night. If one of them is discombobulated or frightened, the other can still get the benefits of the passive ability.
- Sonoko reflects the status of her friend. If Sonoko's friend is injured, Sonoko will not be injured. If Sonoko's friend is arrested/detained but otherwise healthy, Sonoko can still use that friend's abilities.
- Sonoko will not lose her ability if her friend dies.
- If Sonoko befriends Yukiko, she will be able to use the abilities of Yukiko's disguised roles.
- If Sonoko befriends Yukiko she will not receive a true in Choosing Costumes on Prep Phase, due to it being her friend's doing.
- Sonoko will never have a true disguise investigate even if she befriends a disguiser and uses their abilities
- If Sonoko befriends Yukiko and she dies, Sonoko will be able to choose costumes and use the abilities of the disguises, but she still will not have arrest of any kind. Disguise investigate will still be false in this case.
- If Sonoko befriends shadowman, she must use the same ability as shadowman that night. If Shadowman dies, Sonoko can only use the last ability used by Shadowman.

Night Actions
Spoiler:
Abduct
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Tequila, Vodka
- Night action, can't be covered.
- Tequila/Vodka will Abduct one character that is not played in the game by any player. The GM will send him the name of one random town-sided character not in the game.
- Subsequent abductions will not reveal the characters revealed by previous abductions
- Tequila/Vodka may abduct Vermouth/KID's disguises because they are not considered "in the game".

Backup
Player whatever action they use player
- Roles with that action: Calvados
- Calvados can perform one BO action from a member not in the game.
- If Calvados backups Erase Body, he can only do it once per kill cycle.
- If Calvados backups Investigate, he gets the full number of investigations, not just one. If he backs up SI, he gets one SI. He can do either of these things if the respective BO aren't on the team, even if Anokata/Vermouth/Irish have investigations or SI.
- Calvados CAN backup sniping, but only when he is the person doing the kill.
- If a member is killed or arrested, that doesn't count as "not on the team." So Calvados can't backup SI from Bourbon if Bourbon was in but has been lynched already.
- May not backup the same BO member more than once.

Betrayal
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Rena
- Night action, can be covered
- She randomly gets to know one activity of the BO that was done on that night.
- Passive ability: Rena doesn't need to PM the GM to use this action, but it can be discombobulated.

Killing/Sniping: DOESN'T get to know which BO killed or if Snipe was used.
Slander: "A BO slandered" (only when it's not the BS slander)
Investigate: "A BO investigated."
Special Investigate: "A BO investigated."
Erase: "A BO erased."
Detect: "A BO used detect."
Discombobulate: "A BO discombobulated."
Frighten: "A BO frightened."
Bribe: DOESN'T get to know if bribe was used.
Steal: "A BO stole from someone."
Observe: "A BO observed someone."
Stake-out: "A BO observed someone."
Abduct: "A BO used Abduct"
Sabotage: DOESN’T get to know if Sabotage was used.
Research: DOESN’T get to know if Research was used.
Covered abilities: DOESN'T get to know what ability Calvados covered and used
Backup DOESN'T get to know what ability Calvados used as backup.
Disguised abilities: DOESN'T get to know what Irish or Vermouth did with their disguise. Doesn't know what disguises they have either.
Black Suitcase: DOESN'T get to know who used or who got the Black Suitcase.
Anokata: DOESN'T get to know Anokata's actions in any way, even if they're crimes.

Bribe
Player kills player.
- Roles with action: The BO member doing the kill
- Night action, crime, cannot be covered.
- Once per game, the BO may "Bribe" the GM to kill a player. This IS connected with the item "Black Suitcase;" The player killing MUST be in possession of the Black Suitcase in order to Bribe
- The BO member doing the kill must hand in the bribe action. The BO leader can also order it on behalf of that person.
- The Black Org's kill that night cannot be hindered by any means whatsoever, including an arrest on the killing player.
- If a player attempts to heal/protect the victim, their action will fail as if discombobulated.
- If a player attempts to discombobulate the killer, the trickster will be notified that the trick failed. However, none of the killer's actions will go through except for the kill.
- Should the killer be arrested, the arrest will be successful, but only after the kill. The kill itself cannot be stopped.
- Bribe may also be used on an arrested player.

Cover
Player protects player.
- Role with action: Calvados
- Night action
- Can choose one ally during the night. During that phase, he can use one ability of the covered ally's. Ally MUST be using the ability that night unless they are injured.
- Allies are all BOs.
- Can cover abilities from disguises.
- Can cover the same person multiple times in a row.
- Doesn't work if Calvados or the target dies during the night.
- Will still work if the ally was arrested during the night Calvados covered him/her. The ally won't be able to use his/her night ability due to arrest, but Calvados can use it.
- Will not work on dead or already arrested allies.
- Will not work on killing someone. So Calvados and the covered ally can't both kill in the same night. But Calvados can cover the sniping or erasing ability, so in case Calvados is doing the killing, he'll be able to use snipe or erase, etc.
- Calvados can only cover "Erase Body" if he's the one doing the kill.
- Calvados can't cover anything from the BS. Only one BO member can use fake actions per night. Can't cover Bribe to get two. If Calvados wants to get an extra slander, he must Cover Gin.
- The covered abilities can be normally investigated or seen with stake-out. Meaning "Calvados slanders Akonyl" will get a true.
- Can't cover: Arrest, House Search, Detain, Lawsuit, Agasa's gadgets, Disguise (if he covers a disguised action, Calvados himself won't be "in disguise")

Example
Calvados covers Bourbon. Bourbon can use Detect and Special Investigate. But Calvados can just use either Detect or SI, not both like Bourbon. In case Akemi is covered, Calvados has to use steal on a different target than Akemi. If they both steal from the same target in the same night, they will receive the same item.

Crime Report
Not investigable.
- Role with that action: Naeko
- Passive action, cannot be discombobulated.
- Night action.
- She randomly gets a report of one crime that was committed each night. (Will never get a Kill report, including Bribe, Snipe and Erase. Will never be told if someone is Framed.)
- Does not get told who the crime was used on or which role someone disguised as.

Disguise/Temporary Disguise: "Someone disguised as a male." or "Someone disguised as a teen." [result is random based on the disguise]
Slander: "Someone was slandered."
Discombobulate: "Someone was discombobulated."
Abduct: "Someone was abducted."
Sabotage: "Someone was sabotaged."
Frighten: "Someone was frightened."
Steal: "Someone stole something."

Kill: doesn't get to know someone was killed.
Snipe: doesn't get to know someone was sniped.
Erase: doesn't get to know someone was erased.
Bribe: doesn't get to know if bribe was used.
Frame: doesn't get to know if frame was used.

Cross-examine
Player interrogates player.
- Roles with action: Eri
- Night action, can be covered
- The player can choose to cross-examine one player, to find out whether they have committed any crimes so far (includes prep phase).
- She will not learn which crimes have been committed.
- She'll get the result "guilty" or "not guilty".
- Framed actions or acts of faking an action don't count as crimes.
- Crimes committed during the same phase don't count.
- Can be discombobulated. Then the Player won't get any results but a "failed action" PM
- Cross-examine will not leave a notice.

Deduce
Not investigable.
- Role with that action: Heiji
- Night action, can be discombobulated.
- Each night, Heiji may send a list of five players (which cannot include yourself) to the GM. At the end of the night, the GM will tell Heiji if one of those players is suspicious.
- Roles that count as suspicious are: Anokata, Vermouth, Irish, Jodie, Okiya, Kaitou Kid, Yukiko + Mysterious Benefactor.
- Even if there is only one suspicious person on the list, Heiji will be told "one or more."

EXAMPLES:
Roles:
pofa — Megure
Yurikochan — Vermouth
PhoenixTears — Bourbon
Conia — Jodie
shinichi'sapprentice — Kogorou
Raiden — Okiya
Kamite — Sera
Abs. — Takagi
Akonyl — Kazuha

Example 1:
Heiji sends: Yurikochan, PhoenixTears, shinichi'sapprentice, Kamite, Abs.
GM replies: "You think something's a little off about one or more of these people."

Example 2:
Heiji sends: pofa, Yurikochan, Raiden, Conia, Abs.
GM replies: "You think something's a little off about one or more of these people."

Example 3:
Heiji sends: pofa, shinichi'sapprentice, Kamite, Abs., Akonyl
GM replies: "None of these people seem strange to you."

Detect
Player detects role.
- Role with action: Bourbon, Akemi, Okiya, Yusaku
- Night action, can be covered
- Can detect if a specific role is in the game per night. He needs to ask for the character name (Shinichi, Heiji, Ayumi...) and not the role (Detective, Police...)
- If Vermouth is in the game and he Detects Vermouth, he'll get a True. Same for Kid. If he asks for his/her disguised role, then he'll get a False.
- If Anokata is in the game, both the Detect for "Anokata" and the Detect for his "role" will be True.

Example
Vermouth disguised as Ran. Shinichi is in the game, Conan isn't.
Detect: Vermouth is in the game.
Answer from GM: True
Detect: Ran is in the game
Answer from GM: False
Detect: Conan is in the game
Answer from GM: False
Detect: Shinichi is in the game
Answer from GM: True

Discombobulate
Player discombobulates player.
- Roles with action: Vodka, Pisco, Eisuke, Sera
- Night action, Crime, can be covered
- People that were discombobulated will fail with their night action on the same night.
- Also commonly known as "Trick"
- Affects all Night actions, also Day/Night actions that were performed at night. Only exception is Arrest; you can never discombobulate an arrest. You can discombobulate House Search, Detain, and Face Pinch.
- Discombobulation doesn't affect Day actions.
- All other night actions can be discombobulated. You can also discombobulate the interrogation/investigation that the player was able to do through the Bow-tie from Agasa. Protection from the tranquilizer watch can NOT be discombobulated. You can also discombobulate the "fake investigations" that are possible through the Black Suitcase.
- Discombobulation can prevent the BO from killing or sniping someone.
- If a discombobulated action is investigated, then the action will be shown as "false", because the action didn't go through.
- The people discombobulated will get a PM from the GM that their night action failed. They will only get a notice in case they used a night action. If they have a night action and didn't use it or have a day action or no active action, they won't know that they were discombobulated via PM.
- Players that used a Night action and weren't discombobulated will get a PM saying that their action succeeded.
- The one who used Discombobulate will get a PM: "You used discombobulate on your target", but he won't know if that target actually used an action that night.
- In case the Discombobulator was discombobulated, he'll get the message: "Your action failed". He will also get that message if he discombobulated the killer if Bribe is in effect.
- If a pair of discombobulator discombobulate each other, they both get the message: "Your action(s) failed", and all other actions by both players fail.
- May NOT discombobulate themselves, because it will discombobulate the GM.
- If the trickster is also the person the killer is targeting that night, their action will fail UNLESS they are tricking the person killing them.

Erase
Player erases player.
- Roles with action: Pisco, Tequila
- Night action, crime, can be covered.
- The eraser has the option of erasing or not erasing a body if he is the one doing the killing himself. The action is not limited to a one-time-use and may be repeated so long as the eraser is the one doing the killing. Once per kill cycle, Pisco/Tequila may opt to erase a victim killed by another Black Org member. He can't, however, erase for another BO member if there are only 2 of them left.
- The identity of the erased player will not be shown. The eraser is the only one who becomes privy to the identity of the erased body.
- Erase, like all other individual Black Org actions, may not be ordered by the Black Org leader. All the same, the erase victim's body will not be shown either. Instead, only the person who erased the body will be given the will in question.

Fake
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Black Suitcase holder
- Night action, crime, cannot be covered.
- Can pretend to do a night action that is not a crime.
- Investigating this action will come back as true.
- The faked action will not show up on a stakeout.
- Stake-out will not show their target was faking an action.
- Anokata, Vermouth and Irish cannot arrest people for framed actions.

Frame
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Black Suitcase holder
- Night action, crime, cannot be covered.
- Can choose to frame a player for committing a crime of his choosing on that night.
- Investigating this action will come back as true, and the player can be arrested for this action as well.
- The framed crime will not show up on a stakeout.
- Stake-out will not show their target was framed for a crime.
- Anokata, Vermouth and Irish cannot arrest people for framed actions.

Frighten
Player frightens player.
- Roles with action: Tequila, Vodka, Rye, Amuro
- Night action, Crime, can't be covered.
- The Frightened player can't use his ability or vote the next day.
- The Frightened player won't know that he got Frightened unless he voted or used actions during the day, in which case he will get a PMing stating that his actions failed. However, there will NOT be a notification the player's vote failed if votes were not shown (whether it be via VoR/Protect/etc.)
- Protect used on that day can be frightened. Rye/Akai's vengeance can be frightened (since his vote won't go through if he's frightened). Similarly, Revenge (Chianti/Korn) can also be frightened if Tequila/Vodka wishes.
- In order to frighten a DB Identify, Tequila/Vodka must target the DB that handed in the action (if more than one handed in actions, it will be a 50% if 2 DB are around, or 66% if 3 DB are around and all handed in actions. )
- Arrest can't be frightened.
- Detain and pinch-face can be frightened.
- Only one BO member can use frighten per night.

Guard
Player observes player.
- Role with action: Kogoro
- Night action, can be covered
- Guard is handled as the same action as Observe/Stake-out when investigated/staked-out
- If the target (which cannot be you) is about to be killed the night you guard him/her, you take the hit and protect the target. The action is treated as though you protected the target. You become injured for two phases (similar to protect). Essentially, you cannot Guard again until 2 nights later (or a loss of 3 phases) if you become injured. The target in this case learns that he was Protected. Neither the Protected individual nor the Protector will learn the identity of the attacker. If sniped, the target survives, but the protector dies in their place.
- If your target is not about to be killed, Kogoro learns of all actions performed to a player that night. So, "Akonyl guards Kleene" may result in a PM of "Kleene was healed and discombobulated", for example. Only keywords will be used (see Keywords section in Quick Reference). If someone were to use Special Investigate on the staked out player, the result will only show "Investigate" and not "Special Investigate".
- If Abs. uses the black suitcase to "interrogate" Kleene, the PM will simply state that Kleene was interrogated, not that she was interrogated with the Black Suitcase.
- You will not know how often someone was slandered or how often someone was interrogated. Just that he/she was interrogated etc.
- You will not learn who the interrogator, etc. is either. Just what actions were used on the target.
- Your own stakeout isn't included in the results list. So if the list says "xpon was observed," that wasn't your stakeout--he was observed by someone else.
- Unlike those roles with Stake-out, you also do not have follow-up, and actions discovered by guard cannot be follow-up (if this isn't clear already).

Example 1
On Night 1, PhoenixTears and Nomemory interrogate Kleene, Conia fake investigates "Kleene protects Akonyl" with the Black Suitcase and CTU kills Kleene.
Guard result will be: "Kleene had an attempt on her life". You will be temporarily injured for D1 and N2.

Example 2
On Night 1, PhoenixTears and Nomemory interrogate Kleene, Conia investigates "Kleene protects Akonyl" and CTU uses Heal on Kleene with the Black Suitcase.
Guard result will be: "Kleene was interrogated, investigated and healed" although it was a fake action by the BS.

Heal
Player heals player.
- Role with action: Araide, Kobayashi
- Night action, can be covered
- Can use Heal on any player, including himself.
- The healed player won't die if targeted by the killer. Can't heal APTX or cure an injured player.
- If the target was sniped, heal won't save the victim. The healer won't die.
- If successfully healed, the healer will know that he successfully healed. The target and the attacker will be notified that the target was healed/protected, but not by whom.
- No one will learn the attacker's identity in any way.
- Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal

House Search
Player arrests player.
- Role with action: Megure, Shiratori
- Night action, can't be covered.
- Can order a house search each Night. This will reveal all crimes the target made.
- The player won't know any other actions done or the identity of the target, even if he/she committed a crime.
- If the target DID commit a crime, the target is Auto-Arrested on the same phase. The target of the crimes will not be known. (Example, you will receive "Kamite killed N1." instead of "Kamite killed PT N1.")
- If the target did not commit a crime, then the player will be suspended for 2 phases and can't use any actions during that time (besides the bow-tie/watch). There will be also a notification, that a police officer was suspended (like arrest), but no identities will be revealed.
- After the suspension is over, the police officer can use all abilities he had before, besides house search. He won't be able to use House search for the rest of the game.
- If the target has not committed a crime yet, but commits a crime in the same phase as the House Search order is given, the House Search will still be considered a failure, and the officer will suffer the consequences. The crime will NOT be hindered and Auto-arrest won't happen.
- Crimes are: see under General Definitions.
- Being in the BO isn't a crime. So you can't arrest Conia for being Gin.

Interrogate
Player interrogates player.
- Roles with action: Shinichi, Conan
- Night action, can be covered
- The player can choose to Interrogate one player.
- He'll get the result "BO/Mysterious Benefactor" or "Not BO/Mysterious Benefactor". Check the roles to see what result they get when they weren't slandered.
- If that player was also Slandered, he'll get the reverse answer:
"BO/Mysterious Benefactor" will be "Not BO/Mysterious Benefactor"
"Not BO/Mysterious Benefactor" will be "BO/Mysterious Benefactor"
- Can be discombobulated. Then the Player won't get any results but a "failed action" as a PM.

Investigate #
Player investigates player.
- Role with action: Gin, Bourbon, Kir, Rye, Shinichi, Conan, Megure, Satou, Shiratori, James, Akai, Rena, Nakamori
- Night action, can be covered
- Investigate/Special Investigate is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The player can Investigate a certain number of actions "#". He can only Investigate the actions that are happening in the same night he's Investigating. He may not Investigate actions from previous nights, or Day actions.
- He may investigate if someone is disguised, but he must name the specific disguise.
- He may investigate killings and attacks. If the killing was interrupted by protection, healing, or snipeguard then the investigation will still be true and considered an attack. If the killing was discombobulated/tricked, then it did not happen and will be considered false.
- If the player was killed, the action wasn't done and it will come out as "False"
- Even if a protection or heal wasn't necessary, as long as the player did the order and wasn't discombobulated or killed, it will come out as "True"
- Black Suitcase actions appear as if they were legitimate actions.
- Killing/Attack/Murder; Healing; Investigate/Special Investigate; Protect/Snipe Guard; Observe/Stake-out are considered the same actions (See Keywords section in Quick Reference)
Just use "Kill", "Investigate", "Heal" and "Protect" in general here. You don't need to specify since it won't tell you the difference anyway. And you'll know whether the action was a killing or attack depending on whether someone died.

Examples
Disguise: Conia (Vermouth) is disguised as Ran. Akonyl (KID) is disguised as Shinichi.
"Akonyl disguised as Shinichi" - True
"Conia disguised as Vermouth" - Invalid investigation, since you need to ask for the disguise -> false
"Conia disguised as Ran" - True
"Conia disguised as Shinichi" - False

Actions: Conia kills CTU. xpon investigates Conia.
"Conia kills CTU" - True
"xpon investigates Conia" - True
"Xpon kills CTU" - False

or

Akonyl kills PhoenixTears. Yurikochan protects PhoenixTears. PhoenixTears interrogates Conia.
"Akonyl kills PT" - True
"Yurikochan protects PT" - True
"PT interrogates Conia" - True

or

Akonyl kills PhoenixTears. Yurikochan protects PhoenixTears. Conia discombobulates Akonyl.
"Akonyl kills PT" - False
"Yurikochan protects PT" - True
"Conia discombobulates Akonyl" - True

Actions considered the same: Kleene (Araide) heals Akonyl, Akonyl (Kobayashi) uses Heal on pofa; Conia (Akai) uses SnipeGuard on Yurikochan (Makoto), while Yuriko protects Conia with Protect.
"Akonyl heals pofa" - True
"Kleene heals Akonyl" - True
"Kleene protects Akonyl" - False
"Conia protects Yurikochan" - True
"Yurikochan protects Conia" - True
Etc.

Fake actions:
Akonyl (Anokata) uses Black Suitcase and fake interrogates xpon (Haibara).
"Akonyl interrogates xpon" - True

Lawsuit
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Eri
- Night action, can't be covered
- Usable once per game. Can bring back anyone who has been arrested with a lawsuit. There will be a message that the imprisoned player is out of prison. The identity of the one who was in prison won't get revealed to anyone.
- If the user is tricked while using Lawsuit, the Lawsuit will fail and not be used up - meaning it can be used again.
- Once the imprisoned player is released, the crime for which they were arrested for is for all intents and purposes erased as if it never happened. Therefore if the released player was released after being imprisoned via House Search, they effectively will no longer have crimes to be arrested for and will CE as no crimes until they commit another crime.

Observe
Player observes player.
- Role with action: Jodie, Camel, Korn, Chianti, Amuro
- Night action, can be covered
- There are 2 types of Observe: Age-Observe and Gender-Observe.
- Cannot use both types of observe on the same person.
- Observe/Stake-out is handled as the same action when investigated/stake-out
- May choose a player to Age-Observe during the night. When the night is over the player will learn if that player is a child, teenager or adult.
- May choose a player to Gender-Observe during the night. When the night is over the player will learn if that player is male or female.
- If the target is disguised, then the player will learn it for the disguise, not the true identity.
- If Sera is gender observed, the result will be random each night, if more than one player gender observe Sera, all players will receive the same results.

Research
Not investigable
- Role with action: Sherry, Agasa
- Night action, can be covered
- Research can show which ability was successfully used during that phase.
- Research can research specific abilities such as Protect and SnipeGuard, as well as Interrogate and Cross Examine. This is only limited to investigatable actions, so you can't Research Research or Sabotage.
- Research will come back true if a town member used the ability or if it was Faked through the BS. If it blamed or used by a BO member, it will be false.
Example: Player wants to research Discombobulate. If Eisuke/Yoko/KID/Yukiko used the Discombobulate ability, Research would come out as true. If Vodka/Vermouth/Irish/Anokata used the Discombobulate ability it would come out as false. If no one used the ability, it will come out as false.

Sabotage
Not investigable
- Role with action: Pisco, Tequila, Mysterious Benefactor
- Night action, crime, can't be covered.
- Can be discombobulated, cannot be frightened.
- Pisco/Tequila will choose during the night which player he would like to Sabotage. The player who was sabotaged will have their vote count increased by 1, which is only applied and told during phase change to all players when it can lead to a successful lynch.
- If the mysterious benefactor happens to target one of the three roles required for his/her victory, the vote count increases by 2 instead of 1, which is only applied and told during phase change to all players when it can lead to a successful lynch.
- If the lynch vote results will not lead to a successful lynch after applying the sabotage and accompany vote count change, sabotage will fail.
- If the player who was sabotaged survives the lynch for any reason (be it that the lynch did not tie, or they were saved by another means), they will be informed that they were followed.
- The saboteur does not need to vote for the person he/she sabotages.
- If the mysterious benefactor and one of the BO members happen to have the same sabotage target, only the mysterious benefactor's will be applied.

Example
pofa (Pisco) Sabotages Yuriko (Araide) during N1.
During D1, the votes look like this (before Sabotage or Accompany is applied):

Yuriko: 3
PT: 3
xpon: 1
pofa: 1
Akonyl: 1

At this point, pofa's Sabotage would be applied, bringing Yuriko's votes up to 4, and Yuriko would be lynched.

Example 2
pofa (Pisco) Sabotages Yuriko (Araide) during N1. PT (Kazuha) Accompanies Yuriko D1.
During D1, the votes look like this (before Sabotage or Accompany is applied):

Yuriko: 3
PT: 3
xpon: 1
pofa: 1
Akonyl: 1

The Sabotage is applied, bringing Yuriko's votes to 4, then the Accompany is applied, dropping the votes back down to 3. The vote ties and nobody is lynched. Yuriko would then be notified that she was followed. (Only one follow notification would be given.)

Slander
Player slanders player.
- Role with action: Black Suitcase holder, Gin
- Night action, crime, can be covered only through Gin. May not cover the BS holder for an extra slander.
- Player may slander any player at night, whether it's himself, someone from the town, or someone from the Black Org. The holder of the Black Suitcase may slander one target: one Black Org or one town. If Gin is in the game, the BO as a collective may not slander two Black Org members. If more than one Black Org member sends a slander for a BO member, Gin's slander will take precedent.
- If the slandered target is interrogated that night, the interrogation result will be inverted. A townie that would normally come up as "Not Black Org" on an interrogation would instead become "Black Org" if slandered successfully. Likewise, if a slandered Black Org member is interrogated, any interrogations on them that night would return "Not Black Org" instead of the usual "Black Org".
- The slanderer does not receive a notice indicating whether his slandered target was interrogated that night or not.
- The slandered player does not receive a notification that they were slandered that night.

Snipe
Player kills player.
- Roles with action: Chianti, Korn
- Night action, Crime, can be covered
- Snipe replaces kill for the specified roles. The BO Leader can therefore order Sniping if the killer is one of the roles with Snipe.
- Snipers will always Snipe when they are able too.
- Snipe will bypass healing (Heal) and kill the target, but not the healer.
- If the target is protected, the protector will die in place of the target.
- If the target is protected by the watch, the target will survive, but the watch will shatter and become unusable.
- The identity of the attacker doesn't get revealed for any reason.
- If the sniper gets discombobulated, nothing will happen. The target or the protectors won't die and the watch won't get destroyed.

Snipe Guard
Player protects player.
- Role with action: Akai
- Night action, handled like protect when investigated, can be covered
- Protect/Snipe Guard is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The player can use the ability on one target. This target will be protected completely in case he/she is about to be sniped. The sniper will fail his killing and will get injured as a result.
- If the target was killed in another way than sniping, then the target will die and Akai won't injure anyone.
- If Akai targets a sniper that is about to snipe someone, nothing will happen to the sniper and the victim will die.
- If the sniper was injured, there will not be a message that someone was injured. The sniper can't use snipe anymore, but can still kill normally. They no longer have revenge.
- Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal

Special Investigate
Player investigates player.
- Role with action: Bourbon, Akemi, Kir, James, Rena, Okiya, Yuusaku
- Night action, can be covered
- Investigate/Special Investigate is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- Same as Investigate # but can just Investigate one action.
- Same Investigation rules apply.
- Must specify on which Night the action happened. ('Akonyl killed Conia N1' or 'PT slandered Abs. N2' or 'Yuriko chose costumes in Prep,' etc.)
- The investigated action should have happened in the past.
- Cannot Special Investigate things that are happening the night of the Special Investigate. Must be from a previous night or prep phase.
- May NOT Special Investigate anything that happens during a day phase.
- Cannot Special Investigate a target that is dead or arrested. (Example: Conia kills Abs. N1 and is lynched D2. You cannot Special Investigate Conia killing Abs. N1.)
- Things that can be investigated from prep phase: Disguise (must specify disguise), Choose Costume (no specific costume needed), Friendship (needs to specify friend).

Steal / Return Item
Steal: Player steals from player.
Return Item: Not investigable.
- Roles with action: Kid, Akemi, Gin
- Steal: Night action, Crime, cannot be covered. Can be investigated/arrested/caught on stake-out the night that it happens, even if the item is later returned.
- Return Item: Night action, not a crime, cannot be covered. Cannot be investigated/does not show up on stake-out. CAN be discombobulated.
- Can steal one item from one person per night. Can steal from that person again on the next night.
- An already stolen item will be effectively gone from a player's inventory and can't be stolen again, either by the same thief or a different one. (If the item is returned, however, it can still potentially show up on Peek.)
- Items stolen will NOT be added to the thief's inventory.
- If the player steals from a disguised player, he can steal from the disguise or from the original role (Kid, Vermouth). The player won't know it it's from the disguise or not. If the disguised player has 2x gun for example, he can steal a gun 2x.
- Can choose to return the player's item the following night. (Cannot use Steal again on the same night they are returning an item.)
- The player who was stolen from will NOT get a notification on the item that he lost, unless it isn't returned the following night phase.
- If the item is not returned, the player who was stolen from will get a notification that their item went missing and on which phase. (At the end of Night 2, they get a message: "You've just noticed that your gun was stolen on Night 1.")
- May only return an item on the night AFTER they stole it. (If they stole a gun from Conia on Night 1, they can only return it on Night 2.)
- If a player gets stolen from by 2 or more different thieves, all thieves will take different items, but they will be notified that they saw another thief stealing from the same person.
- If a player only has one item left and more than one thief tries to take it in the same night, the thieves will be giving priority based on the following:
Kaitou Kid > Akemi > Gin > Calvados
- So if Kaitou Kid and Gin both try to steal Shinichi's School Book, then:
  • Kid will get the School Book and a notification that someone else tried to take it, too.
  • Gin will be told that there was nothing left to steal and that another thief got there first.
  • If the School Book isn't returned by Kid the following night: Shinichi will be told that he was targeted by more than one thief and his School Book was stolen.
  • If the School Book IS returned by Kid the following night: Shinichi will never notice that his book was missing in the first place.

Stake-Out
Player observes player.
- Role with action: Takagi, Chiba, Jodie, Camel, Korn, Chianti
- Night action, can be covered
- Observe/Stake-out is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The person who stakes out another player learns of all actions performed to that player that night. So, "Akonyl stakes out Kleene" may result in a PM of "Kleene was healed and discombobulated", for example.
- If the target is killed the night you stake them out, you learn from the GM the gender of the killer. This does not circumvent disguises, however (so Vermouth/Irish will come back with the gender of their disguises and not necessarily their actual ones).

Example
PhoenixTears and Nomemory interrogate Kleene, Conia investigates "Kleene protects Akonyl" and CTU uses Heal on Kleene with the Black Suitcase. Stake-out result will be: "Kleene was interrogated, investigated and healed" although it was a fake action by the BS.

Day Actions
Spoiler:
Accompany
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Kazuha
- Day action
- The target will have his/her lynching votes reduced by 1 for that day.
- There will be just a public notice that 1 vote was reduced, in case that person was about to be lynched. Otherwise no one will know that a vote was reduced by 1. Lynch votes will be shown as normal.
- The accompanied will learn that someone accompanied/followed them.
- Can't accompany self.

APTX4869
Player kills player.
- Roles with Action: all BO, including the "townie" Anokata
- Day action, Crime
- The whole BO get capsules with APTX4869 each game - a total of 3 APTX at the start of the game.
- During each day any BO member may attempt to poison another player (BO or Town) by sending a PM with that player’s name and identity to the GM. APTX: Kleene = Shinichi, for example
- If the BO tries APTX on Kid disguised as Shinichi, the BO must guess that player is Kid and not Shinichi.
- Successful APTX: The target was that role (success). The BO will keep the APTX. The actions and the votes of the victim don't count and the target dies. Arrest can't be stopped though.
- Failed APTX: The APTX will be used up and the BO will lose it. The victim won't know that he was targeted. The BO will get a message that the APTX failed and how many APTX are left.
- Different BO members can try to poison different targets (or the same target) the same day. Each BO can only start one poison attempt each day. If there are more poisoning attempts than remaining APTX the higher-ranked BO members poisoning attempts takes priority.
Example
Gin can poison pofa as Shinichi. But Gin can't poison pofa as Shinichi AND CTU as Ran.
Gin can poison pofa as Shinichi and Vermouth can poison CTU as Ran.
- If the BO member who used APTX was lynched, the APTX is still effective and the target will still die.
- APTX can't hinder an arrest. Even if the arresting officer is successfully APTXed by another BO member who is not also being arrested, the arrest still happens. The arresting officer will die after the arrest takes place.
- Arresting the BO member who does the poisoning WILL hinder the poisoning. In this case, the APTX is NOT lost. This is the same with Detain and Pinching.
- APTX > lynching: In case the target player is lynched and APTXed, then the APTX will be first, then the lynching. So if the APTX failed, the APTX will be used up and the target dies after that.

Black Suitcase
Handing off the BS is not investigable.
- Role with action: Anokata or highest-ranked BO
- Day action, can be frightened.
- During each day the Leader (also, next highest-ranked BO in case Leader dies or is arrested) can decide to give the "Black Suitcase" to any player (even himself). He can also choose a substitute in case that player is killed/arrested. If the Leader himself is killed/arrested, the action will still go through.
- Has to give it to someone, otherwise no one will recieve the Black Suitcase
- During the next night the receiver can Fake any feasible night action OR Slander OR Bribe OR Frame. However, the player will never get a result for a faked action. (Faking "Heal" won't heal the target)
- The player can use his real ability (for example Observe) and a fake ability (for example Investigate or Heal etc.) in the same night.
- If the player is discombobulated, the Black Suitcase action will fail as well as any other Night actions (Bribe is an exception). Meaning the investigation of that fake action will come out as "False".
- The player will be notified, that he was discombobulated, even if he doesn't have a real night ability.
Example
Anokata (Kleene) can give the Suitcase to himself during Day 1. During Night 2, he can (for example) interrogate another player (Akonyl).
Anyone Investigating "Kleene interrogates Akonyl" will receive a "True" result. However, Anokata (Kleene) will not gain a result on his fake Interrogation.

Bow-Tie and Watch
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Agasa
- Day action
- Bow-tie: Can lend it to anyone for a night except for himself (and it is returned at the end of the night). Someone in possession of the bow-tie can act if he were Conan and can choose to Investigate 5 OR Interrogate.
- Watch: Can also lend the watch to anyone for one night except for himself (and it is returned at the end of the night). Someone in possession of the Watch is protected from the BO as if he were protected by Ran or Makoto, but he needs to fire from the distance so he does not get to see the attacker's face and will therefore not learn his identity.
- If sniped, the target will survive, but the watch will be destroyed and can't be used anymore
- Neither the recipient of Watch or bow-tie nor Agasa learn each other's identity (so CTU as Agasa will give the Watch to "Conia", and Conia (Ran) will receive it from "Agasa").
- He may lend both to the same person. While he has to decide whom he'll give it to during the day, he may include (ordered) alternatives in case the one he chose gets lynched/etc.
- If Ran or Makoto gets the watch, they Protect themselves. So when they are targeted, they will be protected by the watch. If they protect someone successfully with the watch, they will still be penalized. If the protected one was sniped while Ran or Makoto had the watch, the watch won't be destroyed, but one of the protectors will still die.
- If healer-type user gets the Watch, he can also only use the watch to defend himself.
- The recipient of the Watch may be investigated as protecting themselves.
- If the recipient of the Bow-tie has a normal Investigate due to his/her role, he can use both that investigate and the normal one. For example, Shinichi with the Bow-tie may Investigate 10 OR Interrogate 2 OR Investigate 5 + Interrogate 1
Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal
- If somehow Conan gets the watch and targets Kogoro with it, Kogoro gets to use the effects of the watch the following night (even without the watch). If Kogoro somehow gets the watch the following night, he gets to use the effect twice (choosing Investigate 10 OR Interrogate 2 OR Investigate 5 + Interrogate 1). But come on, what are the chances of this happening?

Charm
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Kazuha
- Day action
- Can give out the Health Charm. The same phase the target will be protected from APTX poisoning.
- The Charm will only be used up if the person with the charm would have been poisoned otherwise. BO will not be specially notified that the charm was in play and therefore lose that aptx.
- Kazuha won't know the identity of the one who received the Charm. The one who got the Charm will just know that a charm was given to him/her, not the identity of the player.
- If Kazuha is APTXed and doesn't give herself the charm that same phase, all of her actions will fail. (So if she was giving the charm to someone who was also being APTXed, they will also die.)

Follow
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Haibara
- Day action
- She may accompany anyone during the day
- The accompanied will learn that someone accompanied/followed them.
- As a result she will get either: "Has a scent" or "Has no scent"

Follow-Up
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Chiba, Takagi, Jodie, Camel, Chianti, pofa, Korn
- Day Action.
- Can use Follow-Up during each day phase to SI actions that happened to someone they staked out the previous night.
- Example: Takagi stakes out Conia N1 and finds out he was slandered. During the following day, he may use Follow-Up to check "Conia slandered Conia N1" and get a true or false result.
- BS actions that appear on stakeouts can be followed-up on as if they were real. The officer won't know the difference. (Just remember that an arrest made for a faked BS action will always fail, even if it was caught on stakeout and FU'd--the crime didn't really "happen" after all.)

Identify
Not investigable.
- Role with action: DBs: Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta
- Day action
- Decide together to Identify one person's role (Akonyl is Sonoko, Callid is Eisuke, mangaluva is Bourbon)
- They can only use Identify once per day and must decide together who to use it on.
- Tequila/Vodka can frighten a DB Identify if he frightens the one handing in the action, if several DB handed in actions, depending on the amount of DB in game, the chance will be 50-66% of failure.
- Normal lynching (no sniper or Akai powers) is different. If Ayumi is lynched but the others aren't interfered with, the next-highest DB who handed in an action can still get his results.
- Basically, it's to the DBs' advantage for everyone to hand in an action.
- If the person is disguised, they can't Identify the disguise but have to Identify if the player is Kid or Vermouth.
- The ranking of the DB are: Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta. If the GM gets conflicting orders on whom to Identify, the GM will use this ranking.

Interview
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Kir
- Day action.
- She randomly gets to know one action that the town used during that day.
- Kir doesn't need to PM the GM to use this action, but it can be frightened.

The only abilities that can show up on the interview are the following:

Bowtie: "Someone used an item."
Watch: "Someone used an item."
Charm: "Someone used an item."
Protect: "Someone used Protect."
Follow: "Someone used Follow."
Accompany: "Someone used Follow."
Stalk: "Someone used Follow."
Peek: "Someone used Follow."
Follow-Up: "Someone used Follow-Up."

Peek
Not investigable.
- Roles with that action: Heiji
- Day action.
- May peek at another person's items to see one of them.
- The player will get a notice that someone looked at their stuff. The player will not find out which item was seen.
- If they choose to peek at the same person a second time, they will not see the same item unless there is nothing they haven't seen or the person has multiple of that item (Yukiko disguised as Kazuha would have 2x panties, so the peek-er may see panties twice).
- Will not see items stolen by a thief, unless that item has already been returned.
- If the target has no items remaining (due to all of them having been stolen), then the person doing the peeking will be told that the person doesn't have anything on them. The target will still be notified that they were peeked at.
- If two people peek at the same player on the same turn (ex: Heiji and Sonoko are BFFs and target the same person), they will see the same item. The person they peeked at will know that two people peeked at their items.

Example 1.
Akemi steals Kogorou's alcohol on Night 1.
Heiji peeks at Kogorou on Day 1. He will see Kogorou's car keys, because Kogorou has nothing else on him.

Example 2.
Akemi steals Kogorou's alcohol on Night 1 and returns the alcohol on Night 2.
Heiji peeks at Kogorou on Day 2. He can see either the car keys or the alcohol, since it has been returned to his possession.

Re-choose Costumes (Same as Choose Costumes)
- The Day after Irish/Yukiko used his/her last disguise, he/she can re-use Choose Costumes. Not a crime.

Sleeping Pill
Not investigable
- Role with action: Sherry
- Day action, Crime
- Can be given to any player. That player will fall asleep during the following night and can't perform any actions (except Arrest and Bribe-killing) for that phase at all.
- Does not affect any actions performed during the day phase it was handed out.
- Can be Frightened.
- Passive actions will still work.
- The player will be notified that they have fallen asleep at the end of the day phase.
- Due to it being a crime, it may be arrested for. Police must send an arrest for the day that it was handed out, not the night that it was in effect for. Police may use the action "Sleeping Pill" or "Drugged".

Stalk
Not investigable
- Role with action: Naeko
- Day action
- Player will stalk a person and will learn the person's gender or age. Since the results are random, if she stalks the same person twice she might get the same results.
- Player can't detect a scent or know the target's interrogation result.
- The stalked will learn that someone followed them.
- Can be frightened, in which case the player will receive an "action failed" message.

Temporary Disguise
- Crime. Keyword: Disguise
- During the day (and during prep phase), Irish/Yukiko may choose who to disguise as for the following night, out of their chosen 3 costumes, using this ability. Once a costume has been used, they may not re-use it again unless they choose it again with Re-choose Costumes.

Voice of Reason
Not investigable.
- Roles with action: Eri
- Day action
- Can stop the lynching once per game. Doing so will not expose her role. The lynching must be stopped before the results are known, and if successful no one will be killed by lynching during that day. The lynching votes will not be shown.

Day/Night Actions
Note: If these actions are investigatable, they are only investigatable so long as they are used at night. Day actions cannot be investigated in any way.
Spoiler:
Arrest
Player arrests player.
- Role with action: Megure, Shiratori, Satou, Takagi, Chiba, Nakamori
- Day/Night action, can't be covered, can't be frightened or discombobulated.
- Can arrest any player at Night or Day, except for themselves.
- Needs to accuse a player for a specific crime during a specific past phase: "Arrest Akonyl for Killing Conia on Night 1" or "Arrest Conia for Slandering pofa on Night 2" or "Arrest Sebolains for disguising as Megure on Night 3."
- The crime can be done on any Night or Day, but it CANNOT be in the same phase that the arrest is happening
- MAY NOT arrest someone for helping with a crime: "Akonyl helped Conia in killing pofa"
- Crimes are: see under General Definitions.
- Being in the BO isn't a crime. For the third time, you can't arrest Conia for being Gin. Stop trying.
- Arresting can't be hindered in any way. Not by discombobulating, frightening or killing the police officer.
- The police officer can't use any action (arrest, investigate, house search, stake-out etc.) for the next 2 phases if he accuses someone falsely and won't get results on the current phase, because he'll get suspended. But he can use the bow-tie actions in case he gets the bow-tie.
- There will be info on the Arrest:
1) If successful, then there will be info that an unidentified police officer Arrested Player XYZ successfully (identity won't get revealed. But if a sniper/Akai is arrested, the resulting injury will be made public, so it'll be obvious the arrested person was a sniper or Akai. Exactly which sniper/Akai, and ID of the injured officer, won't be revealed.)
2) If there is a failed arrest attempt, then there will be info that an unidentified police officer was suspended for the next 2 phases. There won't be any info who was supposed to be arrested either.
- An arrested person's identity remains secret.
- Players can be arrested for blamed actions, even though the player didn't do it.
- The BO can't arrest someone for a blamed action in any way.
- The action and/or vote of a successfully arrested player will not go through and will fail.
- You can't arrest someone for the same crime twice. If someone is let out by lawsuit, the crime for which they were arrested will be completely erased, as if it had never happened.

Detention
Player arrests player.
- Role with action: Satou
- Day/Night action, can't be covered, can be frightened or discombobulated.
- Can put any player in detention at Night or Day, except for themselves.
- The player will then be in detention until they are released
- Only one player at a time can be in detention
- The player will be released automatically after 3 phases or if Satou dies. If Detain is used on Day 2, the player will be in jail for Night 3 and Day 3 but released before Night 4 starts.
- If all BO players are either dead or arrested and the only remaining BO is in detention, the game ends. If a BO player is due to be released at the end of the phase where the only other BO player remaining is arrested/killed, the game will continue with that one BO player remaining.
- Cannot be used on the same person twice in a row
- If Satou is discombobulated while after she detained a player, she will not release said player.
- If Satou is suspended after the phase she had detained, she will not release said player until the normal time.
- If Satou detains a player with Vengeance or Revenge, she will not get injured.

Lovey-Dovey
Player protects player.
- Roles with action: Lovers
- Day/Night action, can't be covered
- Protect/Lovey-Dovey/Snipe Guarding is handled as the same action when investigated/stake-out
- The lover can protect the other lover during day or night. Can't use it on anyone else besides his/her lover
- This protect will hinder lynching, killing, sniping and even APTX. Does not hinder Akai's vengeance or Chianti/Korn's Revenge.
- Just one lover can use protect. They can't protect each other in the same phase.
- You can only protect once per Day/Night. So you have to choose if you protect your lover on night 1. Then neither of the lovers can use protect on day 1 anymore. But they can decide to use it either on Night 2 or Day 2 again etc.
- If they decide to protect during Day 1 instead of Night 1, they can use it again on Night2 or Day 2.
- If it successfully hinders a lynching, killing, sniping, or poisoning, the lovers lose this ability for 2 phases
- Can be discombobulated/frightened if the one using the action is targeted.
- Lovey-Dovey can still be used if one or both lovers are injured.

Pinch Face
Player pinches player.
- Role with action: Nakamori
- Day/Night action, can be covered
- Once within every two phases, Nakamori can check a player for a disguise (Night 1 or Day 1, then Night 2 or Day 2... So, he can do it Night 1, then Night 2. Or he can do it Day 1, then Night 2.)
- If the player is not in disguise, the action will return a false
- If they are, they will be automatically arrested, then stripped of their disguise and their action for that phase will fail
- Nakamori will learn that the player was in disguise and also which disguise it was. If the player was disguised as Akai, Nakamori will auto-arrest the disguiser and be injured.
- If Yukiko or Irish is pinched and arrested, they do not get a new role automatically if freed. They will receive a new list and will have to Re-choose costumes. Vermouth/KID will automatically get a new disguise, however.
- The target will be notified that they were pinched whether they get arrested or not.
- Can be discombobulated or frightened.

Protect
Player protects player.
- Role with action: Makoto, Ran
- Day/Night action, can be covered
- Protect/Snipe Guard is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- May choose to Protect one person at day. If the protected person is going to get lynched, the protector will jump in and stop the lynching. The lynching votes will not be shown.
- May also choose one individual to Protect at night. If said individual is about to be killed by the BO, he again Protects the individual. The target in this case learns that he was Protected. Neither the Protected individual nor the Protector will learn the identity of the attacker. If sniped, the target survives, but the protector dies in their place.
- Penalties:
If the protector successfully protects someone, they'll get temporarily injured for 2 phases and can't protect anybody or use any other abilities for that time. But they can still talk freely and vote. An Injured protector MAY NOT be healed and lose her Injured status this way.
- If discombobulated while protecting, the protection will fail and they don't Protect the person.
- Can't protect anyone from APTX
- May not protect themselves. MAY protect each other.
Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal
Example: If Ran protects successfully N1 and becomes temporarily injured, she will be injured for D1 and N2, and will be able to protect again D2.

Revenge
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Rye, Chianti, Korn
- Day/Night action, can't be covered
- When they get lynched, the target of their own lynching vote will become "Injured" for 4 phases
- When they become arrested, the officer(s) arresting them will become "Injured" (2 phases, same as a suspension).
- Any injury will be made public.

Vengeance
Not investigable.
- Role with action: Akai
- Day/Night action, can't be covered
- If Akai gets lynched, he'll kill the person he voted for too.
- If APTXed, Vengeance will fail and he won’t injure the poisoner
- If Frightened or Discombobulated, Vengeance will fail.
- If killed successfully, he will injure his attacker before he dies. If healed or if the kill gets prevented in any way, he won't injure the attacker.
- If Akai is arrested, he will injure the arresting officer, like the snipers/Rye. If a player disguised as Akai is pinched, the auto-arrest will occur as normal and so he will injure the person who pinched him and then go to jail.
- An injured BO will lose all of his abilities, and abilities to kill (like sniping). However, he can still regularly kill at night, APTX and use items like black suitcase and bow-tie/watch.

Changes from Round 74 rules.

1. Kogoro is now back with Guard, which is a mix of Stake-out and Protect. Unlike most roles with Stake-out, you can't follow-up. Unlike protect, you can't do this during the day. After all, Kogoro spends his day at Pachinko parlors, horse race tracks, catching up on Okino Yoko's latest shows, and getting over his hangover. Somehow he still finds the time to vote like a good Japanese citizen.

2. One of the people on this cruise is the mysterious benefactor of this cruise, the maker of the lottery game in which you all somehow won. The mysterious benefactor (a town role) gathered you all here for some malevolent purpose, and this will involve the death of three people on-board randomly chosen based on their roles in the game. One of the unfortunate person will be associated to a nefarious group of people (*cough* Black Organization *cough*). Unfortunately for the benefactor, to avoid suspicion, he/she has no idea who they are, except for a randomly generated list of 3 people on Night 1, two of which are not the people he/she wishes to be dead. This list may contain BO, who would want you dead because reasons.

Read more at the Status Section.

(Clarification: Mysterious benefactor cannot be a lover or befriended. My head would spin trying to figure out how the lover can win and how your bff is actually using you for murders without you winning. Also, added mysterious benefactor in places where they may be meaningful and make sense, i.e. Deduce and Interrogate.)

3. Action list is alphabetized for night actions, day actions, and night/day actions.

4. If Sonoko befriends shadowman, she must use the same ability as shadowman that night. If Shadowman dies, Sonoko can only use the last ability used by Shadowman. (Clarification)

5. Randomly added clarifications since people started to ask some already. They're in this colour.
