Another day. You wake up in the same bed. You eat the same breakfast. Today will probably be the same as yesterday and the day before that. Same as the week before that too. Your mind goes through all the fun things your friends are doing this summer: visiting the erupting volcano in Hawaii, seeing the Wimbledon and the US Open in person, joining a Safari tour across Africa, seeing the sights of Victoria Falls, watching the FIFA World Cup in person, dancing a whole week of samba carnivals in Rio de Janeiro, tracing the ravines of the Grand Canyon. And you? Nothing. Merely another day drifting through the town you've always known.
You check the stack of mail addressed to the household in which you reside. Bills. Discount ads. The usual. More bills. More ads. Oh, What's this? An envelope with an elaborate gold engraving on an expensive cardstock. And it's addressed to you. This is different. You never get letters.
You carefully open the envelope and take out the thick stack of paper inside. When you unfurl the papers, a thick sheet of paper like a bookmark fell out. You read the first bit of the letter as you bend down and blindly reach for the bookmark-like object:
"Congratulations! You have won the lottery for an exclusive exhibition of paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn, several of which were recently recovered and restored to be viewed for the very first time in a century. This exhibition is held on an exclusive 20-day cruise around the Pacific Ocean in our deluxe suite, stopping at Ogasawara and Okinawa, with a two-day shore excursion at both iconic tourist destination. The all-expense paid cruise will leave from Yokohama on..."
You hold up the bookmark-like object and peruse it. An ornate ticket, with similar gold engraving as the envelope, shimmers in your hands.
A choice now lies before you: will you accept to go on this three-week long trip to see the exotic sights of the Pacific Ocean and the paintings of a revered artist, or stay at home and mope about how you're not having the best summer to all your friends?

Spoiler: Prep phase story
Let's see... Clothes. Got to have enough so that you don't have to do laundry every day. Toiletry. You never know who you'll meet. Got to stay fresh. Bathing suit. No questions about that. Extra towels. "Your needs will be amply met. The crew for this cruise was meticulously chosen based on their experience in 'providing for your needs before you even know your needs' from their decades of experience." You don't want to risk getting a cold by not having a towel when you need one. Snorkeling and diving equipment. No way are you risking an indirect kiss on this cruise, even if it is a highly exclusive event. Taxi fare. No way I'm getting to Yokohama harbour on time without a little help. The ticket. Don't forget the ticket.
You can't help but admire the ticket design. The ornate ticket reflects the light like gold glitter. The weight of the ticket makes you wonder if the gold is real. At the back it reads: "Admit one. The boat is scheduled to leave one hour before sunset (17:34). Only valid while donning the mask sent along with the ticket."
You almost forgot about the package that was left on the doorstep when you got the ticket in your mail. You scrounge for it among all the other items you're packing. Here it is: the mask. It looks like something from those parties. What are they called again? Oh yes. Masquerades. Very traditional ones, covering the top half of the face. You recall the letter mentioning the mask.
"...will be required to wear the masquerade mask. A simple one has been provided to you. You are welcome to choose your own masquerade mask before coming. The organizer of the lottery require that all who participate on the cruise must keep the mask on when in public. While a peculiar rule, I hope you will enjoy your time on this exquisite adventure."
Is there anything else I need? I'm sure it'll all fit in the suitcase somehow.
You throw all of it into the suitcase you have prepared for this cruise. You plug in your phone to the phone charger.
You make a mental note: put phone charger in suit--.
You dream the sweetest of delights, the most thrilling of adventures, the most wondrous of sight. You smile, awaiting a bright new day.

Spoiler: Night 1 story
You arrive by taxi at Yokohama harbour around 16:30. You fight the crowds and head towards Osanbashi-Pier D. There you see a cruise yacht of roughly four fifths of a cho (町). There are three rows of square windows, an open deck on top, a variety of navigation thingamabobs (because you obviously know everything about modern navigational techniques on the open sea) sitting above the top of the ship.
You head towards the aft starboard of the cruise ship, where two women dressed in a white uniform with gold and white epaulettes are welcoming the guests.
As you wait in line, you notice a submersible undergoing inspection at the stern by two people dressed in the same uniform, but with purple instead of white colours on their epaulettes. A lifeboat lies on the side of the ship between the two floors above you. Another two people dressed as those by the submersible are inspecting the boat.
You reach for your face, making sure the mask is on. You show your ticket. They each scrutinize the ticket a magnifying glass that seemingly appeared out of thin air.
"Welcome to The Taipan. We hope you enjoy your stay." The two women gesture you inside the centerline corridor behind them. "These two will take your luggage to your room and bring you to the dining hall, where we will give you an orientation of the Taipan when all the guests have boarded."
A man and a woman--dressed in the same uniform as the two women who handled your registration--take your suitcase and gestures you to follow them down the corridor. After they reach your room and left your bag inside the door, they hand you the key to the room. "Please follow us to the dining hall, where you will be given an orientation to the cruise yacht. Also, we were instructed by the organizer of the cruise to tell all our guests to refrain from revealing their true persona behind the mask. The reason? We're not sure, but you'll soon find that the organizer has a very peculiar taste regarding this cruise."
You follow them to the aft stairwell. After going up a flight (or two) of stairs, you reach deck four. You enter the forward doors from the stairs, and arrive in the majestic dining hall. The red radiance of the setting sun diffuses across the white luxurious curtains and tablecloths draped around 12 tables, 6 on each side of the ship. The radiance reflects from the mirrored ceiling to the 5 easels--covered with a thick white blanket for dust cover--sitting in the middle of the dining room. Several waiters (in the same white uniform) have come out in pairs with large platters of hors d'oeuvre. You take a few pieces of delight as you admire the scenery as other guests with masks trickled into the room.
You settle in and start to make light conversation with the other masked guests in this room. The weather, the senseless politics in faraway countries, the economy under Shinzo Abe's rule, the future of Japan, the next thing the Suzuki Corporation is going to build. You're not sure if you're following the conversation all that well.
Finally, there are 16 masked people waiting in the dining hall. A man with four gold stripes on his epaulette enters the room from the forward entrance to the dining hall.
He clinks on a glass and everyone turns their heads to him. "I am Captain Bulurufu Buregu, the one who will make sure you have a pleasant stay on the luxurious Taipan. My mother told me that she named me based on the proud traditions of my ancestors, who came from an island the name of which I can never remember. I mean, I can barely say my name that well. You can refer to me as Captain Buregu, if that makes it any easier. And to my left is my second-in-command."
"Ah, yes. My name is Yokomizo Kaigo (横溝 開悟)." He said in the most soothing of voices. "Before you ask, yes, I'm related to a certain pair Of famous police officers. My mother wanted me to excel in life. She didn't want me to be an afterthought to my brothers' naming scheme, so she made a pun with my name too. She has always reminded me that she wasn't serious about the other meaning from the pun. So she says."
"HAHAHAHA" Captain Buregu's laughter interrupts Yokomizo-san. "It may be hard to tell, but without him, I'll never be able to run this ship," Captain Buregu exclaimed.
"Anyways, let me give you a tour of the cruise yacht. We're currently on Deck Four. There are several stairways on the Taipan. The most frequented are the two interior stairways, the forward stairs and the aft stairs. All of you came up from the aft stairs. Let's go back there to begin the tour."
"Further towards the stern (the back of the ship) is a small patio cafe service, the Blue Lagoon. You can relax while looking at the sea. Let us head upstairs now."
"On Deck Five, we have seating for the cafe. Near the center of the deck is the gym with one treadmill and two multi-purpose machine, along with various exercise tools at your disposal." Further ahead is the hot tub portside of the ship. Further forward is the pool we have recently installed for your enjoyment. Now let us go down the forward stairs."
"We're now back on Deck four. Here is the lounge, where we have two musical group playing from 8 pm to 2 am. You'll also satisfy your alcoholic thirst here. Be nice to the bartenders. I don't want to lock you up and bar you from the bar. HAHAHAHA," Captain Buregu's voice echos in the lounge. "Let's head down to the Deck three."
"Towards the bow of the ship is the bridge, and my quarters. This area is highly restricted. We ask that you not enter in case you mess up the delicate navigational system. As you look aft, you'll see some of the living quarters for our guests. The self service laundry can be found near the middle of the ship on this deck. Room 301, 302, 303, 306 are connecting rooms, and is used to store some of the painting that we will be seeing during our time here. Please refrain from entering them, as the environment in those rooms are set to keep the paintings from being damaged by the elements. Let us head down towards Deck Two."
"Deck Two contains the rest of living quarters for our guests. Since you probably did not have a chance to see your rooms yet, let me describe its opulence for you. You'll all have a room about seven tatami mats large containing a queen size bed. We would have put in a larger bed, but it doesn't fit through the door. Each room has a marble bathroom and a view of the open seas. You'll find our other self service laundry room in the middle of Deck two. Below here is Deck one, where our crew resides. We ask that you refrain from entering belowdecks. You may hear some strange noises. Do not worry; they like to conduct séance during their free times. I assure you those from the beyond would not bother you during this trip." Captain Buregu booming laughter catches you by surprise. "Let us make our way to the aft."
"Here is where you all boarded the yacht. I'm sure you have seen our submersible. It holds three people, and two of our crew will board along with you to help you navigate the world under the sea and enjoy the wonders of the Pacific Ocean. Each trip is an hour long and held during the day. Also, as per our organizer's request, we have set up one table for some card games should you wish to gamble. You'll see it on starboard of the aft stairs. On the portside, there's a small pantry, should you find yourself hungry and thirsty in the middle of the night. Let us head back up towards the dining Room."
"We're now back on Deck Three. You will find the lifeboats anchored on each side of the yacht around Deck Four by the stairs that run on each side of the ship that extends from aft Deck Two to Deck Five. Here we also have the doctor on board. Across from the doctor's office is the beauty salon. We offer a spa service, massage services, and hair-styling services so you look your best. Don't worry. Our crew members are instructed to allow only one person in the salon at a time, so that no one see your face underneath the mask. Now let us head towards the Dining Room once again."
"Now that you've seen all of the yacht, you're welcome to look around between Deck Two to Deck Five. We'll reach Ogasawara in the morning two and a half days from now. In the meantime, let me know what services you would like to enjoy this evening, and I'll make sure that the crew fulfills your every need."
Come on now. Don't wait. The marvels of the open sea awaits. You only have to tell Captain Bulurufu Buregu.

Spoiler: Day 1 Story
You waste no time to enjoy the amenities of the ship. You explore the ship. You climb to the top deck. You watch the sun fall below the horizon, the moon appear on the other side of the ship. You're certainly not the only guest to have thought of enjoying the beauty of the night sky. Some guests even chuckle amongst themselves, possibly having made quick acquaintance when they waited in the dining hall. As the lights of Tokyo disappear from the horizon, you head down to the dining hall and grab a quick bite. Soon, you turn in for the night.
(As Italo Calvino says, "The you that was shifted to [others] can, at any sentence, be addressed to you again. You are always a possible you. Who would dare sentence you to loss of the you, a catastrophe as terrible as the loss of the I. For a second-person discourse to become a novel, at least two you's are required, distinct and concomitant, which stand out from the crowd of he's, she's, and they's.")
Elsewhere, you change into your bathing suit and dive into pool. The pristine water, its characteristics regulated by the diligence of the invisible engineers, welcome you into its embrace. You also spy one of the guest The aroma in the dining hall beckons you as exercise whets your appetite. You quickly change and eat the first thing that the chefs recommended.
Of course, you didn't want to miss out on the main attraction of the cruise, the art by Rembrandt. A few guests wander the center of the dining hall, and waited impatiently for the crew to remove the dust cover over the easels in the middle of the room. You grab food that can be finished instantly without a trace of it left on your hands. You don't want to run off to the washroom to clean your hands and miss the reveal.
At long last, the crew reveals the painting. They are in two sets. The forward set displays five landscape paintings by Rembrandt:
Landscape with Cottages, which was recently recovered after it was stolen in 1972,
Landscape with a Castle,
The Mill,
Winterlandschap,
and The Stone Bridge
The aft set displays four paintings nicknamed "Kamerlicht". The paintings play on the room lighting:
A Scholar Near a Window (a study in ‘kamerlicht’),
Interior with a Window and a Winding Staircase (a study in 'kamerlicht'), or otherwise known as Philosopher in Meditation,
its companion painting, Philosopher with an Open Book,
Tobit en zijn vrouw, two characters featured in the Philosopher in Meditation,
and Philemon and Baucis
You can't help but hear this one guest keep gushing about the brilliance and awe that this one Dutchman should inspire in all of us. Near midnight, the paintings were covered once again, and four crew members asked all guests to stand away from the paintings until tomorrow morning when breakfast service starts (at 6:00 am).
You may have instead found yourself drawn to the comforts of the hot tub. A few guests dropped by. More conversational chatter. You notice a few guests enter the sauna room next to the gym. As you reach the end of the time limit allowed for guests entering the hot tub, you go out and grab a bite in the lounge. The crew plied you and other guests with a variety of drinks enjoyable for those who had a soak in the hot tub and sauna. With your muscles relaxed and your hunger sated, you retreated to your room.
In another part of the yacht, you find yourself drawn to the submersible. At the cruise yacht's current speed, the submersible cannot explore on its own and must be kept attached on a cable and anchored to the yacht. However, you can still enter with two of the crew members escorting you, allowing the submersible to act as a glass bottom deck for your viewing pleasure. You see the diverse wildlife brought about by the Kuroshio, which is an ocean current moving from the seas south of Taiwan along the sea south of Japan, eventually carrying the waters all the way to the Americas, so the crew tells you. In the past, it's known to be the strong current that leads to death. Nowadays, we understand it to be an unique ecosystem. Due to the high salinity and temperature of the equatorial waters, it attracts and provides a unique environment for all kinds of aquatic life. The warm waters promote algal growth, which feeds the fish that can survive in the area. The swarms of bonito, horse mackerel, pollock, sardines, anchovies, and squids that thrive here boosts the fisheries industry. The currents promote the formation of corals by Okinawa and other tropical islands. The marvels you now see beneath you show you the dark sea. When the submersible lights turn on, a glittering display of lights reflect from the scales of the many schools of fish that move around in the distance. You even catch a glimpse of a fishing rod hook, as someone tries to catch a fish for a cat that came on board.
Elsewhere, you climb in bed for an early night. You find yourself awake at some unknown hour of the night, nary a sound on the ship. You head over to the pantry and grab some food. You snack at the nearby table, listening to the gentle, barely-audible waves hitting the side of the boat like a timpani.
Or so you think. Is that a thud you hear from Deck Three? Nah. The Captain did say the crew like conducting séance belowdeck. This probably is just them, relaxing for the day. You leave the pantry and returned to your room. You take a few swigs from the drinks in the refrigerator in the pantry and return back to your room.
"Ah, I see you're awake. Please stay here as I call the rest of the guests to our location. A murder is afoot."
As you waited, you looked into the remaining lifeboat. The lifeboat contains several charred remains, one of which bears a resemblance to the clothing that a guest was wearing earlier. All of the bodies appear to be kept in a bind and made to face another body's back. The mechanisms of the lifeboat is thoroughly damaged by a fire, such that it will sink when placed into the water.
Soon, you and all the other guests now gather by the lifeboat. Captain Buregu sigh, "I don't know how to start this. As you can see here, our lifeboat are in ruins. Inside this lifeboat contains several corpses, one of which appears to have the clothing of the one called "PhoenixTears", who appears to be holding a police badge with the name Takagi Wataru."
The captain pulls out a note that appears to have survived the fire. The captain shows everyone the note, which reads:
"This may be harsh of me to say, but one of you is a murderer. As per the organizer's request, all crew members must work and travel in pairs at all times, as though realizing that this situation may happen, and allow all of us to have an alibi. I have been in my quarters, which can only be accessed through the bridge. You'll find the security footage from last night of the several entrances to the bridge, showing that I've never left the bridge."
"My mother told me of a tradition back in her home island. When we encounter a terrible deed upon the community and we know the criminal is among us, we would all vote together on the one who is most likely to have committed such a crime, and throw them in the sea. We continue this tradition until we are sure that the criminal is no longer among us or have learned from the error of his/her ways. No, I don't mean to suggest that we murder them. That's violent. I simply suggest that we throw them overboard. The Kuroshio has a much high salt content than most of the sea, helping him/her to float a little despite the ocean currents dragging you down. However, there MAY be sharks that lurk in this current full of delicious fish. There MAY also be giant squids that aggressively attacks their prey. You may be recognized as a squid's prey, but there is a chance you'd be rescued before that happens, right?" Captain Buregu's laughter booms across the open sea.
"Normally, I'd say it's a beautiful day and tell you to enjoy the delicious traditional breakfast from several Asian countries." Captain Buregu chuckles. "But considering all the dead bodies, I doubt you'd be in the mood. Also, asking you what you may want to enjoy during the day on this luxurious cruise yacht may seem a little disrespectful to the dead, but I still must ask. What would you like to do today? It's not like the dead should stop us from enjoying the rest of this trip. My crew will continue to be on the look-out for any murderous intent to ensure that you'll all be safe."

NOTE: Phase changes for this round will be 48 hrs. 46 hrs to submit actions, with a 2-hour stand-by phase.
During the 2 hrs stand-by NO ACTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Only wills can be updated. This is to promote healthy sleeping behaviours, and so that all players (and GM) will experience a minimal impact on the other aspects of your life (except for how Mafia makes us paranoid and sleepless; even I can't fix that).
Phase change will be at 22:00 PDT/01:00 EDT/06:00 BST/07:00 CEST/13:00 PHT every OTHER day unless something comes up (I'll try to let you know in advance). Actions are due two hours before phase change. Anything submitted after that time will not be counted.
- Make sure you're available to/plan to actually play the game! Do not join if you do not intend to play the game. If you sign up to play, you are expected to send in actions, vote, etc. Please send a message each night/day phase to confirm you are voting no one.
- Role-handoffs (for BO/Friends/DBs only)! Each person may only be responsible for up to one other person's actions at any time. That means Gin cannot be handing in actions for him, Vermouth, Anokata, Chianti and Bourbon in the same phase. This has been a problem several times in the last ten games or so; GM will not let that happen again. It's not fair to put all the pressure of handing everything in on your teammate and not do anything yourself. You must PM the GM with who will be handling your actions, otherwise it will not be accepted!
- Minor Note: For the BO, everyone may not be around close to phase change due to timezones, and sometimes things need to be changed at the last minute, so here's the deal: if you send in a preliminary action with a note saying the BO can change it, then any BO member can change that action if they need to. If you do not send in a preliminary action, then only a designated BO member is handling no more than their own actions already may submit an action for you.
To clarify:
If Vermouth is not going to be around close to phase change but submits her actions with a note saying the BO can change it, then any BO can change it. If she does not submit actions at all, then she must choose a BO member who is only handling their own actions for that phase to submit her actions. If she does neither of these things, it will be a strike against her.
Town members who are not part of a group may not hand their role off to another player.
Disclaimer: GM has the right to change this at their discretion.
- The gameplay will be facilitated by the use of Discord! Discord is an efficient tool for communicating with other players (and joining in the banter), and you are highly encouraged to join Discord for that purpose. Note: It is not required to use Discord to play. Actions, Wills, and phase changes are updated on the forum as per tradition. Details for joining Discord are given to all players during prep phase.
Remember guys, everyone affects everyone else in this game!

------------
You slept early yesterday. There was so much more to do, and so much more to see in the morning than at night. You wake to the dim light coming through the window. You walk towards the aft stairs to reach the submersible deck and get a good look at the sunrise port side. As you climb the stairs to Deck Three, you notice one lifeboat is missing, and Captain Buregu and several crew members are staring at the remaining lifeboat."Ah, I see you're awake.
"Another corpse carries the memento that my second-in-command carries with him at all times. Not only that, all my engineering and technical crew members somehow disappeared from the yacht, possibly dead on the other lifeboat. All the navigational and communication systems have been damaged such that anyone without technical knowledge cannot repair them. Due to the damage to the navigational systems, it will take some time for me to correct course to deal with the Kuroshio. As I have mentioned before, I really can't run this ship well without Yokomizo-san. We will attempt to reach Ogasawara to notify the authorities as soon as we can."Well... that was fast. I haven't even talked to anyone yet lmao. Guess the benefactor doesn't like cops.
Spoiler: Night 2 Story
The deaths come as a shock to you. How can anyone murder an entire department? The senseless deaths has numbed you as you looked down at the charred corpses. Who would do this? Who would destroy dozens of lives and their only means of escape? What purposes could it serve?
"...be safe." What was Captain Buregu saying? You slowly recollect yourself. You and all the other guests feel the same way. Now is a time of mourning.
You all mourn in different ways. One guest makes a memorial out of the pieces of belonging that still remained. In the room where the card table was set up, a little memorial is made for each person who have lost their lives to this senseless tragedy. A few guests stayed for a little bit to pay their respects.
One guest try to see if there are any clues that may lead to the killer. You doubt that will have any result, given the fire. Regardless, the guest tries hard to look for clues around the ship, especially near the lifeboats.
One guest makes ichigo daifuku for everyone. It is a nice gesture, given the circumstances. Another guest attempts to sneak into the kitchen to see what food there are. He was immediately barred from the kitchen, despite his uniform. After all, crew members must work in pairs and never leave each other's side.
One guest even cries on another guest's shoulder. She kept on saying "Conia, it's all your fault" while pounding her fists on his back. The guest "Conia" didn't seem to care, feeling as though this was a way to let her grief.
A few guests decides to relax and forget about the deaths instead. A few guests go for a walk around the boat to be alone. Another goes to fish again. One guest is so hungry she goes straight to the dining hall and eats a few meals worth of breakfast food. Some guests somehow found a cat on board and started to feed it with the fish caught yesterday.
One goes for a sauna with a few pints of imported beer. Another goes for the oldest vintage on board. Luckily, there's a bottle of 2000 Chateau Grand Village, made in Bordeaux, along with a few other imported wines from this year. The guest drinks himself away in sorrow.
One goes for a massage. She keeps insisting that the mold is going to be that much prettier afterwards, and scares the crew member. At one point, they call the doctor and nurse on board to see if she's insane. The doctor thinks it is likely grief. This guest completely ignores the medical professionals and goes into the sauna afterwards.
You can't help feeling that someone is watching you, waiting for you. The sense of distrust is thick in the air. You put in your vote into a box placed in the lounge with two of the crew standing guard to ensure no foul play. The meals and the rest of the day goes by like a blur.
At long last, the sun is setting. As you watch the sun fall below the horizon, you vaguely remember Captain Buregu's words. "At sunset, we'll send someone overboard." With the reminder of the crew, you gather, along with the remaining guests, to the submersible platform on Deck Two.
"Now that you've all gathered here, let me show you the results of your votes. It seems we do not like this guest whose name is "Memesu". Any last words, Memesu?"
The guest named Memesu reaches into her pocket, takes out a note, and hands it to the captain. The captain rips the mask off of Memesu's face, revealing someone who resemble Mizunashi Rena. The captain shows the note to everyone, and it goes:
Memesu is thrown overboard.
"I'm sorry for that outburst. I've always wanted to do that. Anyways, my esteemed guests, after all this sordid business, I hope all goes well this evening. I have corrected our course, given some of the traditional navigational tools I kept in my quarters for emergencies. We will take slightly longer to reach Ogasawara to ensure that we can deal with the changes in our positions without the computer systems. For our sake, I hope nothing else goes wrong. We will have some new paintings in the dining hall momentarily. What do you have in mind to entertain you this evening?"

Spoiler: Day 2 Story
With peace seemingly restored, the guests goes back to their usual routine. You decide to enjoy the splendour of the ship. After the sordid business of throwing someone overboard, you feast on a Korean-themed dinner (some of you had it earlier). While eating, you notice the new paintings. They were themed, but based on different stories in the bible in no particular order:
The Flight into Egypt,
The Descent from the Cross,
The Storm on the Sea of Galilee,
David with the Head of Goliath before Saul,
The Baptism of the Eunuch,
Judas Repentant, Returning the Pieces of Silver,
The apostle Paul in Prison,
and The Ascension.
Like last night, the same guest starts to sing praises and exult the brilliant use of colours and shadows to portray the raw emotion of each of these scenes in the bible. It's not that you don't appreciate the art, but the guest can keep you there for what feels like an eternity when you know you can't appreciate it that much.
After your meal, you and a few other guests leaves for the card tables. Someone suggested bridge during dinner. A traditional card game of camaraderie. A few guest stays to watch the outcome. At the same time, the guests pet the cat and feeds it as the games continue. Later on, you play a few games of baccarat, which the crew is happy to oblige. (After all, they have had nothing to do in the last few days as they waited for a guest.)
Elsewhere, you decide to see the fish that everyone has been talking about in the submersible. You think you see a few squids this time. They seem anything but gentle to you. Luckily, the squid's attention seems to be on the fish. You wonder if larger squids see the submersible in the same way little squids see fish. You shudder at the thought.
On the top deck, you decided to have some relaxing herbal tea and look at the beautiful stars. Another guest does the same while drinking beer in a sauna.
Elsewhere, while enjoying some of the musical talents onboard, you notice one guest lying on a couch in the corner. He/she (unknowable due to the powerful disguise of the mask) lays on the couch, a few bottles of wine lying beside him/her. The guest has passed out for quite a while now. Before that, the crew tried to get him/her to return to his/her room, but the shooing gestures said more than enough for you. Everyone, including the bartender left him/her there for the night. After all, we got rid of the murderer, right?
"I'm sorry, but it seems that we have not stopped the murderer yet."
You wait again for the remaining guests to appear. Captain Buregu begins, "So it seems we have another murder. Someone broke into the kitchen and took out one of the knives. The guest who stayed here last night, because of his/her insistence on staying out here, made him/herself an easy target."
The captain steps aside, allowing you to see dumytru, who was drunk on the lounge couch last night. The captain takes off the mask, and reveals the face of Jodie Starling.
On dumytru's body was the following note:
>> Followed somebody
"We're going to cordon off this part of the lounge for the police when we get to Ogasawara. I hope none of you have any objections. Well, it seems we didn't get rid of the murderer or he/she has not changed his/her ways. I guess it's time to vote who's going overboard. Also, what will you do today?"

The sun again wakes you in the morning. You finish your morning rituals (putting on make-up, brushing your teeth, brushing your hair, putting on the right clothing for the public), and head down for your breakfast. Not only do you not find that nothing has been prepared, you hear a small crowd where the lounge is. As you head over to the lounge, Captain Buregu appears and bars your way."I'm sorry, but it seems that we have not stopped the murderer yet."

Spoiler: Night 3 Story
Since the brutal stabbing this morning, you panicked for a brief moment. How can this murderer not be found despite the crew here?
Because of dumytru's death, everyone is on high alert. No one seems to be able to swallow much of their breakfast after the news. However, everyone's mood changes after breakfast. They all must have had an idea as to who they should vote off the cruise yacht. It might just be the sun.
You and a few other guests decide to take a swim in the pool today. Someone got a few pool toys out. A rubber ducky. One guest decides to enjoy the sun and do some cartwheels in the exercise room. One starts thinking up how to make a mini-golf course that would stump another guest. No one is sure how that would be implemented on board the cruise yacht. Two of the guests get a little more personal than most of the other ones. Maybe they really trust each other.
One of you decides to take out a patio chair and sit by the pool. You don't want to be alone in case something happens. You also want to know what everyone is thinking. What if they want you dead?
That is actually a good idea. One guest (who appeared to be quite intoxicated) tries to cop a feel on a crew member's bum. She squeals in terror. The partner to the crew member starts a brawl with that guest. You're lucky you're not so secluded from everyone else.
By lunch time, one of you got to use the kitchen and cook up a storm. On the table is everything you want to eat. It hits the right spot. You need some comfort food to remind you that there is a life after this cruise. A reminder of the world you can reach again. A reminder that not all hope is lost.
The rest of the day continued with people moving about the pool and enjoying the sun. Some left briefly to put in their votes.
As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, you all gather again by the dining hall. You wait expectantly for any news. Captain Buregu looks through the votes in the voting box. "Well, let's see here... oh my, it seems we have a tie. In that case, I guess no one is walking the plank today."
"Does this mean we're all good friends now? Or are the evildoers making it hard for us to do justice? Whatever it is, I hope you all have a pleasant evening. There are a lot of fun things to do. We'll be keeping these paintings up until tomorrow morning if you wish to enjoy them."

Spoiler: Day 3 Story
Dinner was silent. You can even hear the murmurs in the kitchen. This is too much. You can't bear it anymore.
You shout at the top of your lungs. "That's enough. I was going to go swimming to relax, but this won't do at all. Everyone, I'm going to sing karaoke tonight for any and all songs. I don't care if the song was a hit from grandparent's childhood, but I'll sing it with anyone who comes."
You storm out of the dining hall and into the lounge. Despite the crudely placed tape around the couch, you take up the remote and choose a random song.
The karaoke player slowly starts and plays this. Not the best choice, you admit, but anything to get this party started.
Eventually, the guests gravitate towards the singing. The guests joins throughout the evening and late into the night. Some decided to get some oldies out of the way, like this one. Some were embarrassing to hear. Look, you can't woo anyone with that this century. No one said the singing was going to be pretty though. One guest try to sing Mai Kuraki's Revive. She runs out of breath half way while dancing like Mai and butchered the song. One can't help but put on his favourite singer's song at the first possible moment. Most of the guests feel rejuvenated after singing this.
One even reads a book by Italo Calvino, which recounts the experience of a reader reading about a reader in the second person, who goes on an adventure chasing after several unfinished books to read the parts after the climax of the story found in each of them while listening to the singing. He knows he'll butcher all of the songs, but is enjoying the atmosphere. One guest was swaying his hip and swinging a golf club on the top of the deck in sync with the singing. The fluorescent tape around the golf balls made them glow as they flew out port side and starboard side.
After what seems like forever, the guests got tired and retired to their suites for the night. You feel at the top of the world. Even if the murderer still remains on the yacht, everyone is at least a little happier about their situation.
You hum a good beat as you head back to your suite and retire too. You think to yourself, "I can't wait for tomorrow".
All of a sudden, you hear a scream coming down from one of the lower decks. All the guests rush down and see a crew member sitting on the floor of Deck Three. Her face is of complete fright, her arms pointing into the guest suite of Raiden. You rush in and find a charred head sitting in the middle of the room, nearly unidentifiable to that of a human on board. To make things worse, the head appears to be held by a pair of marker-drawn hands from Raiden's stationery, and a giant eraser placed on top of the head. Except for the giant eraser and the burning, the scene looks eerily like David handing Goliath's head to Saul. Everyone all frantically search the cruise yacht and cannot find a trace of Raiden to be sure that this isn't a silly prank. Raiden is nowhere to be found.
"Even I'm annoyed now at these murders." Captain Buregu exclaims, "Come on now, let's decide who is the most suspicious of us all and throw this scoundrel overboard!"
Two of the crew members come up to Captain Buregu and whispers. "Oh? Okay." The captain clears his throat. "It seems a police officer on board searched a guest's suite when that guest was not around. Tsk tsk. That officer didn't find anything criminal from that person. As a result, that officer is now suspended from doing any such activity for the while."
The captain then whispers, "Um... This is probably the worse time to say this, but we'll be putting out some new Rembrandt paintings for the day. I hope you enjoy them. We'll probably be reaching Ogasawara in about 36 hours."

You wake up. The sky is a little cloudy and realize that this is quite late compared to the other days. Maybe it was the late night singing you did. After dressing up, you make your way to the dining hall. Everyone is in a cheery mood. They're devouring their deluxe continental breakfast with glee, even though continental breakfast is such a traditional meal. You can hear some people humming the karaoke songs from last night. All of a sudden, you hear a scream coming down from one of the lower decks. All the guests rush down and see a crew member sitting on the floor of Deck Three. Her face is of complete fright, her arms pointing into the guest suite of Raiden. Spoiler: Night 4 Story
The missing body and burnt head got everyone angry. Angry like a mob. Remember that scene from Beauty and the Beast when the entire town carried torches and pitchforks to Beast's castle? Well, everyone is the mob, and you are the Beast. Yes yes. You (plural) can't all be the Beast. However, there's no word to describe that glare of pure hatred when anyone stares at you. Truth be told, that's how you stare at everyone.
For that reason, you barely notice the crew members switching out the paintings as you finish your breakfast. Instead of several scenes of the bible, you now observe paintings from Rembrandt's earlier years. Of particular interest to collectors is the allegory of senses. Most have heard of the five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell and taste. Rembrandt has especially drew these at the beginning of his artistic career. Languishing recently in a basement of a New Jersey home was the allegory of smell. Some poor bloke decided to auction the stuff inside his basement. They originally thought that the frame which encased the painting would sell more than the painting itself. Soon they found that they made more than $870,000 USD from the painting. Since the reunion, the paintings have been touring around the world to be seen by all. If you wonder how the senses can be captured in a painting, look no further.
Their magnificence is displayed in the dining hall in the following order:
The Spectacles-Pedlar (An Allegory of Sight)
The Three Singers (An Allegory of Hearing)
The Operation (An Allegory of Touch)
The Unconscious Patient (An Allegory of Smell)
An Allegory of Taste
Musical Allegory
The last painting doesn't exactly fit the senses, but it is an "allegory", so the crew member in charge of transporting the painting tells you.
For the rest of the day, you and everyone else lurks around the ship. Spying. Scheming. Plotting. Snooping. Sleuthing. Spying on the spies who spy you. No one cared for any of the activities on board. A certain name has been whispered many times. Few of you even notice the guest who decided to feed some fish in the sea and tend to the kitty that has somehow gotten on board.
At long last, the sun begins to dip below the horizon. You and all the guests gather by the submersible platform once again. Captain Buregu starts to count the votes. He starts throwing the paper as though they all looked the same. "Well, it seems we have a very strong majority today." Suddenly, the life vest drops from the hook holding it up. Captain Buregu turns over and shrugs, "So, Kamite, what have you to say for yourself?"
Kamite defiantly walks up to the edge of the water. "You all think I'm guilty? What a bunch of losers. You all don't even know when someone's screwing with your minds. I'm sure my dying will can enlighten you all."
Kamite hands over the sheet of paper to the captain. At that moment, Captain Buregu seize the mask on Kamite, and reveals Camel.
"Well... I guess it's time to say goodbye huh." With that, Kamite dives straight into the water, jumping off the plank set up by the starboard side.
The stunned Captain Buregu eventually speaks, "I guess... that's that then. Here's the note for you all to see." The note flashes before your eyes:
"It's another evening. There's roughly 24 hours until we reach Ogasawara. I hope you all get a chance to enjoy some of the delights we have for you. The musicians are going to play some music to help you get into the feel of an Arabian Night. I believe we're serving some Ethiopian cuisine tonight. It may be a little uncouth to some of you, but I'm sure the flavour will win you over. Finally, I hope you all get to enjoy some of the painting here. I can tell no one was in the mood for these interesting art pieces today."
The Captain smiles, "Who knows? We may even have gotten rid of the killer. So let me know how I can accommodate your needs tonight."

Kleene: Shaking my head that you trusted others before me. Such a shame. I hope BO APTX you next day. No hard feelings.
Yuri: Why did you lied about Conia knowing your role, and afraid you were aptx?
Abs: Nothing on him since wont tell me anything from the get co. Dont blame him, but we could have done something.
SA: Ask him to check if Raiden could be the benefactor. Told me he could check on it, but later claim he didnt found anything at all. Which is weird since I got this from Rai from you:
Why lie to me, you too seems suspicious about this. Are you allied with the benefactor, or are you the benefactor?
You know whats the best part? I stakeout Raiden Night 3 on a whim and was going to follow up Giogio for the murder oh well. Nothing else happened to raiden just Killed and Erased. The killer was Male, most likely the eraser.
One more thing, should be the obvious, but I AM NOT THE BENEFACTOR.

Spoiler: Day 4 Story
Dinner is a little strange. For one, Ethiopian cuisine does not use utensil. The chefs and servers have warned you to only use your right hand, for the use of the left hand is considered disgusting, given what traditionally the left hand is used to do.
There are platters of wat, which is a thick stew of chopped red onions with other vegetables for different flavours. There are also tibs of various sauteed vegetables, kitfo (rare beef mince marinated in a spicy chili powder), and ayibe, (a mild and crumbly cottage cheese). They all sit atop the injera, a large sourdough flatbread which is ripped into small pieces to pick up these dishes.
You find it hard to get used to, but you try and rip out the injera and take different bite size portions of wat, tibs, kitfo, and ayibe. You notice one of the wat smells of carrots, and avoid it like the plague. Despite the strange eating method, you enjoy the meal.
During dinner, you stare hard at the paintings. You realize that one of them is actually blank. Not even a minimalist painting, but actually no canvas. You ask the waiters about it. It turns out that the allegory of taste is only rumoured to exist, and no one in the modern world knows what it even looks like, or the title of the painting by Rembrandt himself. An interesting choice given today's interesting food.
Some of you decide to stay longer and admire the painting. Some of you go to see the fish underneath the sea, which have changed somewhat now that you're approaching what the Captain believe is Ogasawara's coordinates. Some of you even took a dip in the hot tub. Luckily, the crew is there to remind you to leave before you stay too long. One of you slowly worms your way to the sound system setup in the lounge, and change the settings so that it blasts music out of it. For a brief moment, B'z songs started to play all around you. Some of you notice the fish dart away from the submersible when the music play.
Despite Kamite's ramblings, you all relax a little from the fear and death. Well, almost everyone calmed from the fear and death. One of you, fearing for the worse, shut yourself off after dinner in your suite. A beautiful night for you to be missing out. Definitely no FOMO here.

You wake up from a deep slumber. You are not even sure how you got to your bed. Regardless, it's a bright new morning, and you head out to the dining hall. On your way over, you notice one door open wide. shinichi'sapprentice's suite is bright. He lays on the bed, yet his eyes wide open. You knock on the door. He doesn't answer. You shout loudly as a greeting. He still doesn't answer. You run over to him and shake him up. The wat from yesterday's dinner drips down from his mouth and down his body onto the bed. The body is cold. You scream for help. As the rest of the people on board come rushing towards you, you take off the mask, and reveal the face of Shadowman, which is not really a face at all. It's like someone painted over it, but there's no paint. It's not black, like those of African descent. If anything, it's like a void, the endless space far above the skies. You scratch your head in puzzlement as you read a note lying on top of the bed drawers.Spoiler:

"So it seems another murder has occurred last night," the Captain murmurs. "Well, you all know what we must do. Do not forget to eat. Save your strength for what's ahead. We'll be making some hard choices."Spoiler: Night 5 Story
After seeing the body, you don't want to go near food for a while. The chefs didn't take any offense. They saw what was done with their food last night. In response to the murder last night, The chef leaves a few plates of dry solid food. None of it resembles anything you ate last night.
While contemplating your choice for the person going overboard, you decide to wander the halls of the cruise yacht. You stare out into the ocean. On the bright day, you see schools of fish trail behind the yacht. The engine noise scares them away, but in the distance, they seem to know that there's strength in numbers. You think about each and every person on board. Is there strength in numbers with them?
You look through the paintings again. The deaths seem to emulate the paintings. The beheading of (possibly) Raiden and the head of Goliath presented to Saul. The absence of the allegory of taste and the presence of all that shinichi'sapprentice could ever taste until his death. Who would do such a thing?
As you focus on the details (or lack thereof) on the painting, you notice it has a false back. You open the false back, but find that it's empty. Was something in there before?
You wonder about the connection between the Rembrandt and the murders. Why are they murdering from the paintings?
Too many questions. Too few answers. It's probably best to go with your gut today. Maybe Captain Buregu is right. Maybe you can scare off the murderer by a little crowd justice.
As the sun begins to set once again, you gather at the submersible platform.
Captain Buregu looks through the voting box and begins the "judicial" process, "It seems we once again have near unanimous agreement. Conia, please step forward."
Conia moves towards the edge of the platform. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?" the Captain asks.
Conia strikes a pose like one of those Korean dancers. "I'm Eisuke." You scratch your head, not sure if he's joking or not.
"Uh, I don't know what to say. Time to walk the plank." The captain brandishes a mop and pushes Conia towards the edge of the plan extending from the bow of the submersible platform. Conia reluctantly moves to the edge and falls into the water. The Kuroshio drags him away from the sunset.
A pill bottle labelled for a well known brand of laxatives floats to the surface where Conia jumped. That must be why some people went to the toilet for hours. At least, now you know you won't be getting laxatives in your food, right?

Spoiler: Day 5 Story
While the captain seems to be quite happy, you are not. The captain is rejoicing over justice being done by the traditions of his birthplace. You are not. The captain notices that you (plural) seem to be very paranoid of one another, of how anyone might stab you in the back.
The captain announces, "Ho ho! I see that not all of you agree with the traditions of my homeland. I assure you, this will bring us closer to justice. The killer will eventually be discovered and sent overboard. Hmm..." The captain thinks deeply, "Everyone! I believe you all require a 'mandatory' massage therapy and salon session." The captain puts his hands up doing air quotes.
As you make it back to the dining hall after the voting, you notice the crew finish moving some new paintings. The theme, quite apparently, is self-portrait. These are several different self-portraits of Rembrandt himself. As you look at the painting, you can even find how his art style changes over his career.
This is one he drew in 1628, when he was a young man:
This is one he drew in 1628, with a gorget and beret:
This is one he drew in 1628, Rembrandt Laughing:
This is one he drew in 1631 of him being in oriental attire:
This is one he drew in 1632,
This is one he drew in 1634, with a helmet:
This is one he drew in 1635, with his wife then (Rembrandt and Saskia in the Scene of the Prodigal Son in the Tavern ):
This is one he drew in 1639, with a bittern:
This is one he drew in 1640:
This is one he drew sometime between 1641-1642, Self-portrait with beret and gold chain:
This is one he drew in 1654:
This is one he drew in 1658:
This is one he drew in 1659, with a beret and turned up collar:
This is one he drew in 1662, but as Zeuxis (Self-Portrait as Zeuxis Laughing)
This is one he drew in 1662, but as Paul the Apostle (Self-Portrait as the Apostle Paul)
And finally, this is one he drew in 1669, named Self-Portrait at the age of 63:
The crew tells you that Rembrandt passed away in 1669. It must have been a tragic time for the painter. His last surviving son died half a year earlier. None of these paintings are a true reflection of the painter. It is well known that the painting with Rembrandt's wife is done with a model in place of himself. Some of the paintings even depict himself as historical figures. Maybe we never really see ourselves for who we really are. Maybe we never can.
All these paintings gets you thinking about the deaths on this cruise. The paintings remind you of the people you've all agreed to throw overboard and the people who have died horrible deaths. That boy, Eisuke, just accepted his fate like that. Did Eisuke do something wrong? Did he repent? Did anyone bothered to know who this young gentle soul truly is? Did anyone consider how he was robbed of his peace, his life? Did anyone consider how he will have no ambition, no destiny, no future? What about the others? Who will we notify about Raiden's death? What about the lives of all those sailors? What about all the other recently departed souls?
The questions leave your mind as you attend your "mandatory" massage therapy session. The crew adds several more pairs of staff in preparation for this. Your worry is kneaded from your body. Your confidence is bolstered by another layer of beautiful decoration on your lacquered fingernails. You eat a healthy salad afterwards to cleanse all that bad stuff from your body. (there's really no need to say how all that bad stuff is to be cleansed, is there?). You then go to bed, with nary a worry in mind.
You find on her body a note. It reads as follows:
On the first day I spent some time with kamite, didn't get the evil scent from him (but why did he say he was put to sleep :x I couldn't ask, because he'd figure me out >_>).
T_T I'm sorry I voted you Meme T_T
Day 2 I hung out with Raiden, he only had the scent of freshly baked bread on him.
Sorry I helped lynch you kamite, I couldn't get why you lied about the sleeping pill (I still don't :x).
Been speaking Link and Kleene. I trust them :3
(Good luck town! \o/)The captain seems to care little for the body and stares out the bow of the yacht. You follow your gaze as well. You do not see the blue ocean, but you see a piece of rock in front of the yacht.
"Well, bad news, it seems there are still murderers aboard this vessel. Not only that, it seems they have somehow moored us onto either Muko or Nakodojima Island. Good news, the boat appears functional. At least, that's what I think given that all my engineering crew is dead or missing. It'll take the whole of the day to get it running. I hope."
A pair of the crew runs up to Captain Buregu and whispers. "Again?!" The Captain blurts out loudly. "It seems that another person claiming to be a police officer showed a badge and started to rummage through the rooms looking for evidence of a crime. Unfortunately, this police officer didn't find any. Again, we took away the officer's badge and suspended him/her. How he/she get these warrants still confuses me."
"Anyways, it's a new day. Time to decide who to throw overboard. We'll try to get ourselves out of the rock so that we can continue our journey towards Ogasawara. We can see it off in the horizon."

------------------------
As dawn comes, you notice something strange. You don't feel the waves on the hull. You don't feel the rocking of the yacht. You run out and notice a door to a suite open. The door to cinnamoroll's suite is open. There is no one inside, save for a broken mirror in the bathroom. Suddenly, Captain Buregu screams with dire distress. You all run towards the bridge. On the ship's wheel lies cinnamoroll, the mask lying to the side. Her body is covered in glass shards like those of the bathroom mirror. Her hands are placed through the gaps in the wheel, and they hold a piece of the mirror. It is hard to tell, but the mirror seems to reflect the face of Haibara to herself. Someone wants to tell us that someone isn't seeing herself as who she really is. You're afraid to find out the answer.

Spoiler: Game Ends
Once you start on your breakfast, you ask the captain on why he cared so much about hitting the boat on the piece of rock you now are stuck on, way more so than a dead person.
"You see, the islands around Ogasawara has a lot of history and unique qualities to it. The group of island around Ogasawara are all considered Bunin-jima (無人島), meaning no people live here. It was due to a little trickery by someone named Ogasawara Sadayori claiming that their ancestors (the Ogasawara) came from the island that Toyotomi Hideyoshi gave the island (chichijima 父島) to them. Once Toyotomi found out, he was exiled from the land. Except for the events in World War Two turning the island into a military base for both Japanese and American troops, there is little to be found here. The reason the islands are unique is that the islands have not been in contact with any of the lands nearby, thus making the evolution of the flora and fauna on these islands unique to the rest of the earth. Some dubbed the island 'the Galapagos of the Orient', though I detest that name. As a matter of fact, UNESCO has declared these islands as a world heritage in June of 2011. The fact that my ship may have destroyed the unique life that we'll never find elsewhere on earth makes the devastation a little more serious than the dead body which I can't help anymore."
The Captain sighs, "I've seen enough dead bodies too that I am a little numb to the deaths now. Anyways, I'll let you all enjoy your day. Please don't leave the ship, so that we don't tarnish the natural beauty. You're welcome to see first hand what is here now that we're stuck here."
Although you are no botanist or biologist, you can admire the beauty here. Maybe life can be like this. Maybe you can simply relax here and let life be. Make the old island name obsolete. Despite all the horrible events, you can't say you haven't had an exciting summer vacation.
Eventually, the sun is setting and you leave your votes in the voting box. You wait for the results.
"Sure, I don't mind another one. It's been a terrible week for all of us." Henry Gordan reaches out for a bottle.
"It sure has." Yurikochan takes a bottle for Henry Gordan, stealthily slipping something into the bottle as she opens it. "So, Henry, do you think we'll all make it off this cruise yacht in Ogasawara?"
"I think so. My pride believes that Japan will not abandon us." Henry Gordan takes a sip out of the new cold beer.
"I hope for your sake that Japan will not abandon us. Well, at least me."
Henry Gordan warily glances at Yurikochan. Suddenly, Henry Gordan starts to dissolve from the inside. "So I guess I was right. You are Shiratori!"
"Wait... YOU are the killer all along? You ended shinichi'sapprentice's life?"
"Since you are about to die, I'll tell you. Yes, it was me. I can see that the new APTX is working as expected. Goodbye."
Yurikochan takes out a machine, collects a little bit of the pool that was Shiratori, and place it into the machine. The machine reads: "20 hours remaining until new APTX".
"Let's see how the votes go!"
Lynch candidate (number of vote): Voters
darkest absol (3): Abs., Iwamoto Yuri, Yurikochan
Yurikochan (2): Giogio, Kleene Onigiri
Captain Bulufuru Buregu (3): Kamite, Meme, Raiden
Kamite (1): PhoenixTears
"Well, it seems we are going to send darkest absol 'overboard'. What do you have to say for yourself?" The captain snatches the mask from darkest absol's face and reveals the beautiful face of Mouri Kogorou.
"This is some sort of mistake. Plus, how are you going to send me overboard?"
"Actually, I was just going to tie you up here. I'll take any notes you have for the rest of us if you wish."
"Well, here you go." Kogorou hands over the paper. The Captain shows all of you the note.
The captain finds a few extra votes hidden in the voting box and reads them, "Uh... what is this? Why am I getting voted? Wait... aren't these people dead? No... the ancestors are ANGRY with me. The ghosts that haunt us has spoken. I must atone for this. I cannot be allowed to live. Worry not, esteemed guest. A few of the crew know how to weld. I checked earlier. Do not fret. You will return to safety by tomorrow's time."
The captain jumps off the boat and swims away from land. Eventually the sky darkens and you cannot see the captain anymore.
"So, how did things go on your end, Tequila?" The bartenders thinks they're nicknames for each other because of their drinks and wandered away to clean some glasses.
"Oh Bourbon, it all went well. Vermouth found the package in one of the goods. The Portrait of a Young Gentleman with Jan Six as the model was a fake and contained it. Apparently, it was recently authenticated and bought by a descendant of Jan Six, and is still currently in his possession. Also, I've dealt with the loose ends below."
"That must have been a handful. Did Vermouth help out with her silencer?"
"Of course. She did ruin her favourite costume. She was really mad about that."
"Ah, that must have been a scene. I wish I was there to see it."
"I would have taken a picture, but you know how she gets around a camera. Anyways, did you get through to Rum?"
"Ah yes, the satellite phone worked like a charm. Chianti is coming with a special ride. They'll make this place 'sparkle' so she says. We probably don't want to be around when that happens."
"Oh good. I'll get the inflatable ready."
As Tequila leaves, Iwamoto Yuri walks in with a different attire than this morning. "Hello boys! Get me a Vermouth, will you?"
Vermouth takes her drinks and sits down next to Bourbon. "We've got everything. Are you ready to clean up?"
Bourbon downs the bourbon, "I thought you'd never ask."
Bourbon jumps the counter and dashes towards the closer bartender. Vermouth takes out her pistol with a silencer attachment and aims at the farther bartender. At the same time, the bartenders are knocked unconscious, by bullet or by the deadliest kick.
Without a sound, they both head towards the suite of Kleene Onigiri. They lockpick the door and sneak in. Vermouth takes the gun and quickly shoots her in the head. Removing the mask, they find Makoto lying on the bed, with this note by her side.
They continue on in the same fashion to the suites of MoonRaven (Kazuha) and Giogio (Naeko).
The following note (from Naeko) reads as follows:
Vermouth, Bourbon meet up with Tequila by the submersible platform with the message, the package, and the key to the package (and the kitty). Tequila has finished inflating the lifeboat disguised within his suitcase. They all row out from the boat, and Chianti picks them up in a helicopter.
Then Chianti unleashes the machine gun on the boat, shredding it to pieces and hitting the fuel reserve. In a few moments, the cruise yacht explodes, destroying both the natural beauty of the Ogasawara islands and the people on board the cruise.
You hold the ticket in your hands. Sure you had the most exciting and dramatic of summers, but no one will ever know.

Henry Gordan is not having a good day. It's the second time getting your badge taken from you. None of the murders seemed to make sense. To calm yourself down, you stay in the sauna for a bit and have a few pints of beer while soaking. Some time half way during your sauna, Yurikochan enters the sauna and brings in a few pints of her own. "You want some?""Sure, I don't mind another one. It's been a terrible week for all of us." Now late at night, Yurikochan enters the lounge and heads for the bar. "I'll have a Bourbon please." One of the two bartenders pours out the drink. As the evening went on, Abs. enters the lounge as well in a garb that is a little bit red. The bartenders dismiss it, thinking an accident with the tomatoes at dinners, since the room has such low lighting anyways. He orders a Tequila."So, how did things go on your end, Tequila?" People that are not the Mysterious Benefactor: Moon, Henry, cinna, yuriko, darkest absol, gio
Possible BO people/People I couldn't clear completely (doesn't mean they are BO!): Abs., darkest absol

N3: Gio (which is why Raiden died T_T)

Game Ends! BO Wins!
For those who wish to see The Portrait of a Gentleman
Spoiler:
Spoiler: GM notes for end of game
GM notes to the ending result: The criteria for ending the game was discussed in great detail in the graveyard (aka Deck One). Due to the events in Night 5, Kazuha was not able to stop the APTX target for Day 5. At the same time, Kazuha is not able to vote. Since Yuriko's psychic powers (and the BO's inductive powers) have locked onto Henry's role, this will reduce the number of players to 7 (3 BO vs. 4 Town). If ALL of town were to vote for a single target, it can tie with BO when they vote all on the same target. If that is the case, since Kazuha's player is not known to the BO, the game would continue.
If anyone in town did not vote when all of BO vote, this will lead to a total of 6 players remaining (3 BO vs. 3 Town), which is our current circumstance when darkest absol decided to abstain from voting. In this case, the only protector can at best stall for one night, but would find that they would at best tie the votes when one of them is frightened (leading to 2 v 2 votes with corresponding accompany target). The town has no recourse for what the BO can dish out. Eventually, the BO will win in this case.
By the way, the PM messages you all got were more unique if your roles involved... crimes, so you're welcome to share those so that others can enjoy the story with you too.

GM notes to the game: You have all played valiantly to the bitter end. There were times when I thought I made one side too powerful, and then flips immediately to the other side. Despite all that, the game seemed to introduce just enough unknowns for you all to try hard. You all were (from what I can tell) extremely paranoid, but you all did your best in your own way. I'm glad that some of you have written back on my PM with your own story to continue the story of you enjoying this cruise. I'm glad to have written and hosted this game for all of you.By the way, the PM messages you all got were more unique if your roles involved... crimes, so you're welcome to share those so that others can enjoy the story with you too.

The following posts are taken from Round 74, with a few changes. The major ones affecting gameplay will be highlighted in the changelog (post #5).
Post 1: General Notes for the game
Post 2: Rules
Post 3: Roles
Post 4: Actions
Post 5: Changelog and Phase change posts
Game will begin (i.e.: prep phase begins) on 22:00 PDT on September 19, 2018 (and 01:00 EDT/06:00 BST/07:00 CEST/13:00 PHT on September 20, 2018).
-----
Important Notes: read before you sign up!- Make sure you're available to/plan to actually play the game!
