Frame
Not investigatable.
- Role with action:
Black Suitcase holder
- Night action, crime, cannot be covered.
- Can choose to frame a player for committing a crime of his choosing on that night.
- Investigating this action will come back as true, and the player can be arrested for this action as well.
- The framed crime will not show up on a stakeout.
- The action "Frame" cannot be investigated (investigation will be invalid)
- Anokata, Vermouth and Irish cannot arrest people for framed actions.
Slander
Player slanders player.
- Role with action:
Black Suitcase holder, Gin
- Night action, crime, can be covered only through Gin. May not cover the BS holder for an extra slander.
- Player may slander any player at night, whether it's himself, someone from the town, or someone from the Black Org. The holder of the Black Suitcase may slander one target: one Black Org or one town. If Gin is in the game, the BO as a collective may not slander two Black Org members. If more than one Black Org member sends a slander for a BO member, Gin's slander will take precedent.
- If the slandered target is interrogated that night, the interrogation result will be inverted. A townie that would normally come up as "Not Black Org" on an interrogation would instead become "Black Org" if slandered successfully. Likewise, if a slandered Black Org member is interrogated, any interrogations on them that night would return "Not Black Org" instead of the usual "Black Org".
- The slanderer does not receive a notice indicating whether his slandered target was interrogated that night or not.
- The slandered player does not receive a notification that they were slandered that night.
Backup
Player whatever action they use player
- Roles with that action:
Calvados
- Calvados can perform one BO action from a member not in the game.
- If Calvados backups Erase Body, he can only do it once per kill cycle.
- If Calvados backups Investigate, he gets the full number of investigations, not just one. If he backs up SI, he gets one SI. He can do either of these things if the respective BO aren't on the team, even if Anokata/Vermouth/Irish have investigations or SI.
- Calvados CAN backup sniping, but only when he is the person doing the kill.
- If a member is killed or arrested, that doesn't count as "not on the team." So Calvados can't backup SI from Bourbon if Bourbon was in but has been lynched already.
- May not backup the same BO member more than once.
Cover
Player protects player.
- Role with action:
Calvados
- Night action
- Can choose one ally during the night. During that phase, he can use one ability of the covered ally's. Ally MUST be using the ability that night unless they are injured.
- Allies are all BOs.
- Can cover abilities from disguises.
- Can cover the same person multiple times in a row.
- Doesn't work if Calvados or the target dies during the night.
- Will still work if the ally was arrested during the night Calvados covered him/her. The ally won't be able to use his/her night ability due to arrest, but Calvados can use it.
- Will not work on dead or already arrested allies.
- Will not work on killing someone. So Calvados and the covered ally can't both kill in the same night. But Calvados can cover the sniping or erasing ability, so in case Calvados is doing the killing, he'll be able to use snipe or erase, etc.
- Calvados can only cover "Erase Body" if he's the one doing the kill.
- Calvados can't cover anything from the BS. Only one BO member can use fake actions per night. Can't cover Bribe to get two. If Calvados wants to get an extra slander, he must Cover Gin.
- The covered abilities can be normally investigated or seen with stake-out. Meaning "Calvados slanders Akonyl" will get a true.
- Can't cover: Arrest, House Search, Detain, Lawsuit, Agasa's gadgets, Disguise (if he covers a disguised action, Calvados himself won't be "in disguise")
Example
Calvados covers Bourbon. Bourbon can use Detect and Special Investigate. But Calvados can just use either Detect or SI, not both like Bourbon. In case Akemi is covered, Calvados has to use steal on a different target than Akemi. If they both steal from the same target in the same night, they will receive the same item.
Erase
Player erases player.
- Roles with action:
Pisco, Tequila
- Night action, crime, can be covered.
- The eraser has the option of erasing or not erasing a body if he is the one doing the killing himself. The action is not limited to a one-time-use and may be repeated so long as the eraser is the one doing the killing. Once per kill cycle, Pisco/Tequila may opt to erase a victim killed by another Black Org member. He can't, however, erase for another BO member if there are only 2 of them left.
- The identity of the erased player will
not be shown. The eraser is the only one who becomes privy to the identity of the erased body.
- Erase, like all other individual Black Org actions, may not be ordered by the Black Org leader. All the same, the erase victim's body will not be shown either. Instead, only Pisco will be given the will in question.
Bribe
Player kills player.
- Roles with action:
The BO member doing the kill
- Night action, crime, cannot be covered.
- Once per game, the BO may "Bribe" the GM to kill a player. This IS connected with the item "Black Suitcase;" The player killing MUST be in possession of the Black Suitcase in order to Bribe
- The BO member doing the kill must hand in the bribe action. The BO leader can also order it on behalf of that person.
- The Black Org's kill that night cannot be hindered by any means whatsoever, including an arrest on the killing player.
- If a player attempts to heal/protect the victim, their action will fail as if discombobulated.
- If a player attempts to discombobulate the killer, the trickster will be notified that the trick failed. However, none of the killer's actions will go through except for the kill.
- Should the killer be arrested, the arrest will be successful, but only after the kill. The kill itself cannot be stopped.
- Bribe may also be used on an arrested player.
Snipe
Player kills player.
- Roles with action:
Chianti, Korn
- Night action, Crime, can be covered
- Snipe replaces kill for the specified roles. The BO Leader can therefore order Sniping if the killer is one of the roles with Snipe.
- Snipers will always Snipe when they are able too.
- Snipe will bypass healing (Heal) and kill the target, but not the healer.
- If the target is protected, the protector will die in place of the target.
- If the target is protected by the watch, the target will survive, but the watch will shatter and become unusable.
- The identity of the attacker doesn't get revealed for any reason.
- If the sniper gets discombobulated, nothing will happen. The target or the protectors won't die and the watch won't get destroyed.
Frighten
Player frightens player.
- Roles with action:
Tequila, Vodka, Rye, Amuro
- Night action, Crime, can't be covered.
- The Frightened player can't use his ability or vote the next day.
- The Frightened player won't know that he got Frightened unless he voted or used actions during the day, in which case he will get a PMing stating that his actions failed. However, there will NOT be a notification the player's vote failed if votes were not shown (whether it be via VoR/Protect/etc.)
- Protect used on that day can be frightened. Rye/Akai's vengeance can be frightened (since his vote won't go through if he's frightened). Similarly, Revenge (Chianti/Korn) can also be frightened if Tequila/Vodka wishes.
- In order to frighten a DB Identify, Tequila/Vodka must target the DB that handed in the action (if more than one handed in actions, it will be a 50% if 2 DB are around, or 66% if 3 DB are around and all handed in actions. )
- Arrest can't be frightened.
- Detain and pinch-face can be frightened.
- Only one BO member can use frighten per night.
Detect
Player detects role.
- Role with action:
Bourbon, Akemi, Okiya, Yusaku
- Night action, can be covered
- Can detect if a specific role is in the game per night. He needs to ask for the character name (Shinichi, Heiji, Ayumi...) and not the role (Detective, Police...)
- If Vermouth is in the game and he Detects Vermouth, he'll get a True. Same for Kid. If he asks for his/her disguised role, then he'll get a False.
- If Anokata is in the game, both the Detect for "Anokata" and the Detect for his "role" will be True.
Example
Vermouth disguised as Ran. Shinichi is in the game, Conan isn't.
Detect: Vermouth is in the game.
Answer from GM: True
Detect: Ran is in the game
Answer from GM: False
Detect: Conan is in the game
Answer from GM: False
Detect: Shinichi is in the game
Answer from GM: True
Discombobulate
Player discombobulates player.
- Roles with action:
Vodka, Pisco, Eisuke, Sera
- Night action, Crime, can be covered
- People that were discombobulated will fail with their night action on the same night.
- Also commonly known as "Trick"
- Affects all Night actions, also Day/Night actions that were performed at night. Only exception is Arrest; you can never discombobulate an arrest. You
can discombobulate House Search, Detain, and Face Pinch.
- Discombobulation doesn't affect Day actions.
- All other night actions can be discombobulated. You can also discombobulate the interrogation/investigation that the player was able to do through the Bow-tie from Agasa. Protection from the tranquilizer watch can NOT be discombobulated. You can also discombobulate the "fake investigations" that are possible through the Black Suitcase.
- Discombobulation can prevent the BO from killing or sniping someone.
- If a discombobulated action is investigated, then the action will be shown as "false", because the action didn't go through.
- The people discombobulated will get a PM from the GM that their night action failed. They will only get a notice in case they used a night action. If they have a night action and didn't use it or have a day action or no active action, they won't know that they were discombobulated via PM.
- Players that used a Night action and weren't discombobulated will get a PM saying that their action succeeded.
- The one who used Discombobulate will get a PM: "You used discombobulate on your target", but he won't know if that target actually used an action that night.
- In case the Discombobulator was discombobulated, he'll get the message: "Your action failed". He will also get that message if he discombobulated the killer if Bribe is in effect.
- May NOT discombobulate themselves, because it will discombobulate the GM.
- If the trickster is also the person the killer is targeting that night, their action will fail
UNLESS they are tricking the person killing them.
Steal / Return Item
Steal:
Player steals from player.
Return Item:
Not investigatable.
- Roles with action:
Kid, Akemi, Gin
-
Steal: Night action, Crime, cannot be covered. Can be investigated/arrested/caught on stake-out the night that it happens, even if the item is later returned.
-
Return Item: Night action, not a crime, cannot be covered. Cannot be investigated/does not show up on stake-out. CAN be discombobulated. Cannot be Confused.
- Can steal one item from one person per night. Can steal from that person again on the next night.
- An already stolen item will be effectively gone from a player's inventory and can't be stolen again, either by the same thief or a different one. (If the item is returned, however, it can still potentially show up on Peek.)
- Items stolen will NOT be added to the thief's inventory.
- If the player steals from a disguised player, he can steal from the disguise or from the original role (Kid, Vermouth). The player won't know it it's from the disguise or not. If the disguised player has 2x gun for example, he can steal a gun 2x.
- Can choose to return the player's item the following night. (Cannot use Steal again on the same night they are returning an item.)
- The player who was stolen from will NOT get a notification on the item that he lost, unless it isn't returned the following night phase.
- If the item is not returned, the player who was stolen from will get a notification that their item went missing and on which phase. (At the end of Night 2, they get a message: "You've just noticed that your gun was stolen on Night 1.")
- May only return an item on the night AFTER they stole it. (If they stole a gun from Conia on Night 1, they can only return it on Night 2.)
- If a player gets stolen from by 2 or more different thieves, all thieves will take different items, but they will be notified that they saw another thief stealing from the same person.
- If a player only has one item left and more than one thief tries to take it in the same night, the thieves will be giving priority based on the following:
Kaitou Kid > Akemi > Gin > Calvados
- So if Kaitou Kid and Gin both try to steal Shinichi's School Book, then:
- Kid will get the School Book and a notification that someone else tried to take it, too.
- Gin will be told that there was nothing left to steal and that another thief got there first.
- If the School Book isn't returned by Kid the following night: Shinichi will be told that he was targeted by more than one thief and his School Book was stolen.
- If the School Book IS returned by Kid the following night: Shinichi will never notice that his book was missing in the first place.
Observe
Player observes player.
- Role with action:
Jodie, Camel, Korn, Chianti, Amuro
- Night action, can be covered
- There are 2 types of Observe: Age-Observe and Gender-Observe.
- Cannot use both types of observe on the same person.
- Observe/Stake-out is handled as the same action when investigated/stake-out
- May choose a player to Age-Observe during the night. When the night is over the player will learn if that player is a child, teenager or adult.
- May choose a player to Gender-Observe during the night. When the night is over the player will learn if that player is male or female.
- If the target is disguised, then the player will learn it for the disguise, not the true identity.
- If Sera is gender observed, the result will be random each night, if more than one player gender observe Sera, all players will receive the same results.
Investigate #
Player investigates player.
- Role with action:
Gin, Bourbon, Kir, Rye, Shinichi, Conan, Megure, Satou, Shiratori, James, Akai, Rena, Nakamori
- Night action, can be covered
- Investigate/Special Investigate is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The player can Investigate a certain number of actions "#". He can only Investigate the actions that are happening in the same night he's Investigating. He may not Investigate actions from previous nights, or Day actions.
- He may investigate if someone is disguised, but he must name the specific disguise.
- He may investigate killings and attacks. If the killing was interrupted by protection, healing, or snipeguard then the investigation will still be true and considered an attack. If the killing was discombobulated/tricked, then it did not happen and will be considered false.
- If the player was killed, the action wasn't done and it will come out as "False"
- Even if a protection or heal wasn't necessary, as long as the player did the order and wasn't discombobulated or killed, it will come out as "True"
- Black Suitcase actions appear as if they were legitimate actions.
- Killing/Attack/Murder; Healing; Investigate/Special Investigate; Protect/Snipe Guard; Observe/Stake-out are considered the same actions (See Keywords section in Quick Reference)
Just use "Kill", "Investigate", "Heal" and "Protect" in general here. You don't need to specify since it won't tell you the difference anyway. And you'll know whether the action was a killing or attack depending on whether someone died.
Examples
Disguise: Conia (Vermouth) is disguised as Ran. Akonyl (KID) is disguised as Shinichi.
"Akonyl disguised as Shinichi" - True
"Conia disguised as Vermouth" - Invalid investigation, since you need to ask for the disguise -> false
"Conia disguised as Ran" - True
"Conia disguised as Shinichi" - False
Actions: Conia kills CTU. xpon investigates Conia.
"Conia kills CTU" - True
"xpon investigates Conia" - True
"Xpon kills CTU" - False
or
Akonyl kills PhoenixTears. Yurikochan protects PhoenixTears. PhoenixTears interrogates Conia.
"Akonyl kills PT" - True
"Yurikochan protects PT" - True
"PT interrogates Conia" - True
or
Akonyl kills PhoenixTears. Yurikochan protects PhoenixTears. Conia discombobulates Akonyl.
"Akonyl kills PT" - False
"Yurikochan protects PT" - True
"Conia discombobulates Akonyl" - True
Actions considered the same: Kleene (Araide) heals Akonyl, Akonyl (Kobayashi) uses Heal on pofa; Conia (Akai) uses SnipeGuard on Yurikochan (Makoto), while Yuriko protects Conia with Protect.
"Akonyl heals pofa" - True
"Kleene heals Akonyl" - True
"Kleene protects Akonyl" - False
"Conia protects Yurikochan" - True
"Yurikochan protects Conia" - True
Etc.
Fake actions:
Akonyl (Anokata) uses Black Suitcase and fake interrogates xpon (Haibara).
"Akonyl interrogates xpon" - True
Interrogate
Player interrogates player.
- Roles with action:
Shinichi, Conan
- Night action, can be covered
- The player can choose to Interrogate one player.
- He'll get the result "BO" or "Not BO". Check the roles to see what result they get when they weren't slandered.
- If that player was also Slandered, he'll get the reverse answer:
"BO" will be "Not BO"
"Not BO" will be "BO"
- Can be discombobulated. Then the Player won't get any results but a "failed action" as a PM.
Special Investigate
Player investigates player.
- Role with action:
Bourbon, Akemi, Kir, James, Rena, Okiya, Yuusaku
- Night action, can be covered
- Investigate/Special Investigate is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- Same as Investigate # but can just Investigate one action.
- Same Investigation rules apply.
- Must specify on which Night the action happened. ('Akonyl killed Conia N1' or 'PT slandered Abs. N2' or 'Yuriko chose costumes in Prep,' etc.)
- The investigated action should have happened in the past.
- Cannot Special Investigate things that are happening the night of the Special Investigate. Must be from a previous night or prep phase.
- May NOT Special Investigate anything that happens during a day phase.
- Cannot Special Investigate a target that is dead or arrested. (Example: Conia kills Abs. N1 and is lynched D2. You cannot Special Investigate Conia killing Abs. N1.)
- Things that can be investigated from prep phase: Disguise (must specify disguise), Choose Costume (no specific costume needed), Friendship (needs to specify friend).
Cross-examine
Player interrogates player.
- Roles with action:
Eri
- Night action, can be covered
- The player can choose to cross-examine one player, to find out whether they have committed any crimes so far (includes prep phase).
- She will not learn which crimes have been committed.
- She'll get the result "guilty" or "not guilty".
- Faked BS actions don't count as crimes.
- Crimes committed during the same phase don't count.
- Can be discombobulated. Then the Player won't get any results but a "failed action" PM
- Cross-examine will not leave a notice.
Stake-Out
Player observes player.
- Role with action:
Takagi, Chiba, Jodie, Camel, Korn, Chianti
- Night action, can be covered
- Observe/Stake-out is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The policeman learns of all actions performed to a player that night. So, "Akonyl stakes out Kleene" may result in a PM of "Kleene was healed and discombobulated", for example. Only keywords will be used (see Keywords section in Quick Reference). If someone were to use Special Investigate on the staked out player, the result will only show "Investigate" and not "Special Investigate".
- If Abs. uses the black suitcase to "interrogate" Kleene, the PM will simply state that Kleene was interrogated, not that she was interrogated with the Black Suitcase.
- You will not know how often someone was slandered or how often someone was interrogated. Just that he/she was interrogated etc.
- You will not learn who the interrogator, etc. is either. Just what actions were used on the target.
- Your own stakeout isn't included in the results list. So if the list says "xpon was observed," that wasn't your stakeout--he was observed by someone else.
-
If the target is killed the night you stake them out, you learn from the GM the gender of the killer. This does not circumvent disguises, however (so Vermouth/Irish will come back with the gender of their disguises and not necessarily their actual ones).
Example
PhoenixTears and Nomemory interrogate Kleene, Conia investigates "Kleene protects Akonyl" and CTU uses Heal on Kleene with the Black Suitcase. Stake-out result will be: "Kleene was interrogated, investigated and healed" although it was a fake action by the BS.
House Search
Player arrests player.
- Role with action:
Megure, Shiratori
- Night action, can't be covered. Cannot have the target changed by Confuse.
- Can order a house search each Night. This will reveal all crimes the target made.
- The player won't know any other actions done or the identity of the target, even if he/she committed a crime.
- If the target DID commit a crime, the target is Auto-Arrested on the same phase. The target of the crimes will not be known. (Example, you will receive "Kamite killed N1." instead of "Kamite killed PT N1.")
- If the target did not commit a crime, then the player will be suspended for 2 phases and can't use any actions during that time (besides the bow-tie/watch). There will be also a notification, that a police officer was suspended (like arrest), but no identities will be revealed.
- After the suspension is over, the police officer can use all abilities he had before, besides house search. He won't be able to use House search for the rest of the game.
- If the target has not committed a crime yet, but commits a crime in the same phase as the House Search order is given, the House Search will still be considered a failure, and the officer will suffer the consequences. The crime will NOT be hindered and Auto-arrest won't happen.
- Crimes are: see under General Definitions.
- Being in the BO isn't a crime. So you can't arrest Conia for being Gin.
Snipe Guard
Player protects player.
- Role with action:
Akai
- Night action, handled like protect when investigated, can be covered
- Protect/Snipe Guard is handled as the same action when investigated/staked-out
- The player can use the ability on one target. This target will be protected completely in case he/she is about to be sniped. The sniper will fail his killing and will get injured as a result.
- If the target was killed in another way than sniping, then the target will die and Akai won't injure anyone.
- If Akai targets a sniper that is about to snipe someone, nothing will happen to the sniper and the victim will die.
- If the sniper was injured, there will not be a message that someone was injured. The sniper can't use snipe anymore, but can still kill normally. They no longer have revenge.
- Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal
Heal
Player heals player.
- Role with action:
Araide, Kobayashi
- Night action, can be covered
- Can use Heal on any player, including himself.
- The healed player won't die if targeted by the killer. Can't heal APTX or cure an injured player.
- If the target was sniped, heal won't save the victim. The healer won't die.
- If successfully healed, the healer will know that he successfully healed. The target and the attacker will be notified that the target was healed/protected, but not by whom.
- No one will learn the attacker's identity in any way.
- Snipe Guard > Watch protection > Protect > Heal
Lawsuit
Not investigatable.
- Role with action:
Eri
- Night action, can't be covered
- Usable once per game. Can bring back anyone who has been arrested with a lawsuit. There will be a message that the imprisoned player is out of prison. The identity of the one who was in prison won't get revealed to anyone.
- If the user is tricked while using Lawsuit, the Lawsuit will fail and not be used up - meaning it can be used again.
- Once the imprisoned player is released, the crime for which they were arrested for is for all intents and purposes erased as if it never happened. Therefore if the released player was released after being imprisoned via House Search, they effectively will no longer have crimes to be arrested for and will CE as no crimes until they commit another crime.
Abduct
Not investigatable.
- Role with action:
Tequila, Vodka
- Night action, can't be covered.
- Tequila/Vodka will Abduct one character that is not played in the game by any player. The GM will send him the name of one random town-sided character not in the game.
- Tequila/Vodka may abduct Vermouth/KID's disguises because they are not considered "in the game".
Betrayal
Not investigatable.
- Role with action:
Rena
- Night action, can be covered
- She randomly gets to know one activity of the BO that was done on that night.
- Rena doesn't need to PM the GM to use this action, but it can be discombobulated.
Killing/Sniping: DOESN'T get to know which BO killed or if Snipe was used.
Slander: "A BO slandered" (only when it's not the BS slander)
Investigate: "A BO investigated."
Special Investigate: "A BO investigated."
Erase: "A BO erased."
Detect: "A BO used detect."
Discombobulate: "A BO discombobulated."
Frighten: "A BO frightened."
Bribe: DOESN'T get to know if bribe was used.
Steal: "A BO stole from someone."
Observe: "A BO observed someone."
Stake-out: "A BO observed someone."
Abduct: "A BO used Abduct"
Sabotage: DOESN’T get to know if Sabotage was used.
Research: DOESN’T get to know if Research was used.
Covered abilities: DOESN'T get to know what ability Calvados covered and used
Backup DOESN'T get to know what ability Calvados used as backup.
Disguised abilities: DOESN'T get to know what Irish or Vermouth did with their disguise. Doesn't know what disguises they have either.
Black Suitcase: DOESN'T get to know who used or who got the Black Suitcase.
Anokata: DOESN'T get to know Anokata's actions in any way, even if they're crimes.
Sabotage
Cannot be investigated
- Role with action:
Pisco, Tequila
- Night action, crime, can't be covered.
- Can be discombobulated, cannot be frightened.
- Pisco/Tequila will choose during the night which player he would like to Sabotage. If, during the following day, that player is tied with another player for most amount of votes, the player who was sabotaged will have their vote count increased by 1.
- If the player who was sabotaged survives the lynch for any reason (be it that the lynch did not tie, or they were saved by another means), they will be informed that they were followed.
- If the lynch vote does not tie prior to Sabotage/Accompany being applied, Sabotage will fail.
- Accompany can cancel out a Sabotage.
- Pisco/Tequila does not need to vote for the person he Sabotages.
Example
pofa (Pisco) Sabotages Yuriko (Araide) during N1.
During D1, the votes look like this (before Sabotage or Accompany is applied):
Yuriko: 3
PT: 3
xpon: 1
pofa: 1
Akonyl: 1
At this point, pofa's Sabotage would be applied, bringing Yuriko's votes up to 4, and Yuriko would be lynched.
Example 2
pofa (Pisco) Sabotages Yuriko (Araide) during N1. PT (Kazuha) Accompanies Yuriko D1.
During D1, the votes look like this (before Sabotage or Accompany is applied):
Yuriko: 3
PT: 3
xpon: 1
pofa: 1
Akonyl: 1
The Sabotage is applied, bringing Yuriko's votes to 4, then the Accompany is applied, dropping the votes back down to 3. The vote ties and nobody is lynched. Yuriko would then be notified that she was followed. (Only one follow notification would be given.)
Research
Cannot be investigated
- Role with action:
Sherry, Agasa
- Night action, can be covered
- Research can show which ability was
successfully used during that phase.
- Research can research specific abilities such as Protect and SnipeGuard, as well as Interrogate and Cross Examine. This is only limited to investigatable actions, however. So you can't Research Research.
- Research will come back true if a town member used the ability or if it was Faked through the BS. If it blamed or used by a BO member, it will be false.
Example: Player wants to research Discombobulate. If Eisuke/Yoko/KID/Yukiko used the Discombobulate ability, Research would come out as true. If Vodka/Vermouth/Irish/Anokata used the Discombobulate ability it would come out as false. If no one used the ability, it will come out as false
Confuse
Player confuses player.
- Role with that action:
Kogorou
- Night action, not a crime, can be covered, can be discombobulated.
- Player may choose a primary target and a secondary target. The primary target's actions for that night will be changed to target the secondary target.
- Kogorou will be told his action is a success, even if the primary target does not send actions that night.
- If the primary target sends actions, they'll be informed that things got a little jumbled and their target has been changed.
- If the primary target gets confused by Kogorou and discombobulated (or drugged) in the same night, then the primary target's actions will fail anyway and they will not know they were confused.
- Can be used to change the kill target UNLESS Bribe is being used. If Kogorou's primary target is a BO sending Bribe+Kill, Kogorou's action will fail as if discombobulated.
- Can not be used to confuse an Arrest/House Search. If the Arrest/House Search is successful, any other actions done by that cop will still be confused. If the Arrest/House Search fails and the cop is suspended, the cop will not know they were confused. In either situation, Kogorou will just be told his confuse was successful.
- CAN confuse Detain / Pinch.
- If Kogorou confuses a trickster who is targeting him with their discombobulation, then discombobulate will take precedence and Kogorou will be notified that his action failed.
- If Kogorou confuses a trickster who is targeting someone else but makes the secondary target Kogorou himself, Kogorou's actions will fail. Trickster will still target the original target.
- Kogorou cannot use himself as the primary target.
- If Kogorou's Confuse does not cause any of the primary target's actions to change (ex: forcing Eisuke to target Yuriko when Eisuke is already targeting Yuriko), then Kogorou will just be told his actions were successful, and the primary target will be told "actions successful" (or regular results) without being told he was confused.
- If Kogorou's Confuse causes a trickster to target themselves (ex: Eisuke targets Eisuke), then the trickster will be notified that their action failed. Kogorou will be told that his action succeeded.
- If the BO tries to kill Kogorou and Kogorou dies, then Kogorou's action fails,
UNLESS Kogorou is Confusing the killer and directing the actions to someone besides Kogorou himself.
- Confuse does not affect abilities that don't have a player target (ex: Detect). The target will still get results for those actions as normal.
Example 1.
Kogorou chooses Abs. (Eisuke) as the primary target and Conia (Gin) as the secondary target.
As long as Abs. send a discombobulate that night, it will target Conia, regardless of who Abs. tries to discombobulate.
