"Anyone going left, please follow me," dumytru says in a commanding tone. Several people move to stand closer to him, probably because he sounds like he knows what he's doing. dumytru looks around at the group. "That everyone?"

MoonRaven nods. "The rest of us will go right. It's obviously the right path."

Everyone else groans, and the group going left takes that as their cue to head out.

The hallway, this time, is more brightly lit (which helps them not to worry that they may have chosen the wrong path from the beginning). It twists several times (and at one point Raiden is fairly positive that they went in a full circle), before coming to a spiral staircase leading downward.

"Ugh, I hate stairs," complains Yurikochan. "Couldn't they have put in an elevator?"

"Quit whining and let's get moving," says miyano_shiho with an eyeroll.

After what feels like forever (but really isn't more than a minute or two), they reach the bottom of the stairs and find themselves in - shock! - yet another hallway leading to a door.

shinichi'sapprentice moves forward somewhat hesitantly. "I guess that's our next room." he leads the way inside, and they find themselves in a circular room, which is painted bright orange. There's only one other door (directly across from where they came in), but there are two white circles on the floor: one to the north end of the room, and one to the south end.

More importantly, though, they aren't alone.

Once the other group leaves, MoonRaven motions the rest to follow her through the left door.

Their hallway, this time, is surprisingly short. And straight. It leads them directly to their next location without any sort of twist or turn or obstacle.

It's downright unsettling, if they're being perfectly honest.

"Is is strange that I'm worried about the fact that that seemed too easy?" asks darkest absol.

pofa nods her assent. "I agree. I'd rather it be creepy than just boring. Something's up."

The room they find themselves in is just as weird (or, perhaps less weird simply because it is weird?). There's one door, right next to the one they came through, but a quick tug on the handle proves that it can't be opened, at least from inside. The walls are painted green

On the floor, there are two white squares: one to the west and one to the east.

And the red numbers on the sign read 7.

"But there aren't even that many of us in this group," says Memesu, staring up at the sign. "That doesn't make sense."

But they don't have to wait long for answers...

[Henry Gordan, Jecka, Kaito Lady]

"Don't push me," Kaito Lady says, shoving Jecka lightly.

"I didn't push you," Jecka argues, shoving back as they stumble through the door at the end of their hallway.

"Both of you stop," Henry Gordan says firmly. "Oh hey, looks like someone beat us here."

Kaito Lady and Jecka stop pushing each other around and look around. They're in a green room, and there are more people there with them.

"I guess that explains why the sign was wrong," says darkest absol. "Now it all makes sense.

"Wait, didn't you guys go through the red door?" asks pofa. "Are you telling me that after all of that, it didn't even matter? We just ended up in the same place anyway? This is so annoying."

"Well, on the positive side," says Henry Gordan, "no doors this time. Although now I wonder if that means we're not leaving this room."

MoonRaven hums under her breath. "The only choice I can see in this room are these weird squares on the floor. Maybe we have to stand in them?"

Nobody argues that, unable to come up with anything more logical.

"Well, well, well," teases cinnamoroll as several people walk through the door on the ooposite end of the orange room. "Look who's joined the party!"

"This is a party?" asks Kleene Onigiri "It doesn't look like party to me. It looks like a trap." Conia nods in agreement.

After checking that the number on the sign (9) matches the number of people in their group, cinnamoroll gets down to business.

"As far as I can tell, we're supposed to stand in those circles. Might as well get it over with, right?"
