I have an announcement:
Please vote Bronev!
I have been contacted by someone who assures me Bronev is evil, and on top of that he was tricked the very night no one died. I think this is definitely worth a shot.

It's funny how Bronev contacted me and said, as an answer to my question, that he thinks thar Arianna is acting strange.

And now Arianna wants to lynch Bronev. I don't know who to side yet.

You think it's a good idea to reveal that?
And it could be a BO in disguise.

Flora, please edit your post to be more ambigious and censor or take out the quote.

Bronev, delete the mention of those roles, please. You're potentially putting players in unecessary danger with saying that. It may be too late by now, but it's worth a try to attempt damage control.

The damage is already done if he is indeed BO. :x

Layton took a moment to rest on a bench in the park. A few metres away, Arianna was teaching Aryan how to play an ocarinna. Oswald stood under a nearby tree, a small smile on his face as he listened to the flute's clear tones. A similar one spread across the Professor's. With a peaceful scene like this, one could almost forget about the danger that could arise at any moment.

"Hint coin for your thoughts?"

Layton looked over at the speaker and a faint blush rose up as Claire took the spot next to him. When she beamed at him, he recovered his bearings and laughed softly.

"I believe I already have plenty of those." He placed his hands in his lap and returned to watching the others.

"I was just enjoying this short break from the trouble that's been going on with the search. After hearing what Descole found out about the gem, I have to wonder why the person who sent the letter contacted all of us..."

A hand waved out to indicate the girls.

"Some I can understand, but why the children? Or those like Mr. Whistler and Sammy, who don't really have any connection to archaeology? If they knew trying to find the jewel could be dangerous, they shouldn't have called so many to look for it."

The Professor sighed and leaned back into the bench, closing his eyes.

"And then there's that thief I heard about. I still haven't managed to find out anything about him, but I can't help but think he is involved somehow..."

After a moment of thoughtful silence, Claire leaned against him.

"I might not be able to answer any of those questions, but I'm sure you'll be able to. After all..."

She tilted the top of Layton's hat down teasingly, so that it covered his eyes.

"...you are the great Professor Layton, right?"

The Professor reached up to grab the brim of the hat, but didn't push it back up. If anything, he pulled it down a bit more as the blush deepened.

"I-I wouldn't say I'm anything great. But I will try my best, regardless."

"Well, isn't this touching?"

Both Layton and Claire turned to see a familiar figure in a mask and boa walking up behind them, smirking.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I thought Layton might want to know that we won't be holding the voting today. So, please, carry on with what you were doing. Also, Don Paolo finally managed to clear up that flying machine incident. He'll be back tonight," he said, passing the bench to go stand by the fountain.

Layton returned his hat to it's normal position and scratched his face.

"Well, I suppose that's good news..."

Though, as he said it, he knew things would have to change soon. He didn't want anyone else to end up like Henry...

Summary: Despite the will of the people, the lynching seems to have been cancelled. Don Paolo has been released from jail.

What limits are you referring to? I am just doing my job.

We do not just back away because something could be dangerous.
~o~
Will I be not putting more danger to the people around me if I don't do anything? And that's no reason one should hide behind a mask.
~o~
I am not forgetting that someone did ask for my help in a letter, so I am not really stealing anyone else's job.

May I remind everyone to send their PMs to both Professor Layton and Descole. Also, if anyone finds Descole's result PMs confusing, you can tell him and he'll give you the results normally.
