And so the game begins! I'm quite excited for this new game.

The reason for this is that the first phase is Prep Phase, which is basically to give people time to get their roles and settle in. The actual game began... about four hours ago. Now we see!

I'll be a liiittle be quieter this game just due to some commitments that'll make me miss phase changes, but I'll still show up 'round this time each day to help solve dem mysteriez.

My #1 advice right now: Watch what people are saying. There are two informants, and now the Spy has delivered messages to each of them by now. They somehow have to signal to the Spy who they are in this topic, so we should be on the lookout for suspicious behavior.

The spy would probably order the informants to identify themselves in a..... unique way, i think. Like using a rare set of words together or somethin'..... Or maybe i just watched too many police procedurals...............

There are so many different signals that could be used. The spy might even be viewing the suggestions and trying to avoid those!

nice try... but if you played/spectated in round1, you should know that i changed my sig as well... though, i doubt anyone remembered

the order has been sent already at the beginning of day1. whatever that order is, we just have to watch out. the spy and informants can avoid as much as they want. it's gonna be fun talking about this round at the end of it.

As far as voting goes: I say we go with The Scientist's proposal and go from the lists. It will ultimately be pretty random who dies, but after the first phase, we'll have a good idea of what's going on and where to go from here.

My foremost concern, though, is being careful of letting any one person steer the votes later in the game... If the Spy and their Informants hijack the votes, they can completely steer us in the wrong direction while they look for the Detective and take out two people each phase (one arrest and one kill).

So I guess we should be weary of getting led astray later on.

Good question! I thought about this originally, and in the templates for the affected roles, it's meant to imply that it should take place in the topic in the form of a post. However, we can let it slide if they already Ordered this for this phase, since it's a new mechanic. For future phases, it should be in the form of posts (YOU HEAR THAT SPY!?1/1).

I would go for the lists too at the moment, like Jd- said. Later on we can do the nominee thing maybe. Even tho there are informants in the game, the detective also needs to be able to tell people who to vote in case he found the spy. Also, we could try to figure out the informants too that way.
