Go play Mass Effect! It's one of the best games I've ever seen!!! And Thane is a drell, one of the three romance options for women in the second game, the first game only has one and since the games are so awesome you can play with one character through the whole trilogy, the choices you mader in the first game affect the third game as well if you do that. So the romance in ME3 can result in a love triangle. My poor Thane, man he was awesome, dies in the third game and the line 'Meet you across the sea.' is taken directly from the moment of his death. It's connected to the drell religion, where they believe that the goddess of underworld is also the goddess of oceans.

In the first game I did. Well after this line: "And now you're trying to take the place of a dying man's wife!" I grew to dislike that romance and when replaying the game went with Kaidan in first, Thane in second and Kaidan in the third again.
