Okay, hopefully today will go better than last night did. Down to three pokemon after a magnemite and a couple of rattatas killed more than half my team.

My entire team almost died over a trainer's Magneton. Only thing that saved me was Beka's Leech Seed and massive use of potions, really. :/

But seriously, I need a fire type. >_>

That said, I haven't been up route 24 yet... my team's all at level 14 and I wanna level grind a bit before fighting my rival, especially since I know his Pidgeotto's gonna be hard work. The only member of my team with any attacks that are supereffective against flying-types is Morten, my Makey >_> I'll probably just level up Rapier a bit and then Hyper Fang its ass.

I don't know if I'm the only one doing this, but my team have already developed a distinct character dynamic in my head. Palila, as the only girl in the team, likes sitting on Saylee's shoulder because "us girls have to stick together". She also has to kick a lot of ass because Morten is kind of a jerk to her, and everyone else, really. Though since, when they're all at the same level, Palila has the most HP, she's clearly tougher than all the boys anyways   Caelan's kinda the Team Dad, and tries to lead and protect everyone, but because he's got a rash nature he loses his head a lot and maybe isn't the great role model that he thinks he is :x Nazim looks up to him anyway. Rapier's kind of a nice guy, and seems to always be the one looking after Zared, who's a little special in the head.

...and this is why it hurts me when they die ;_;

@Stopwatch: thought you may be interested to know that when I played through Yellow recently, I named the Bulbasaur Matt, the Charmander Karen and the Squirtle Arthur. I thought that while reading about your Mankey, can't imagine why XD

After several restarts, false turns, and downloads (along with a lot of fake tears for the Pokemon that I lost when the game quit without saving), I finally found a way to get my FireRed nuzlocke to save. So I'm restarting my adventure (and using a whole lot of extra time to work on it).

Still, I'm happier now.
