How interesting.... The security of the museums in Japan appear to have much tighter security than the others I've seen...

Descole waited a few minutes after the patrol officer left the room before emerging from where he was hidden. Most of the places he'd been to had only one or two after hours security guards, and they usually spent their time watching from the cameras in a moniter room.

A sudden noise alerted Descole to another presence. Quite a few, actually.

"Aren't you... Descole?"

Aryan stepped out from behind one of the larger displays, along with Flora and Claire.

"I've heard the Professor talk about you. You're not here to cause him more trouble, are you?" The young girl piped up, trying (and failing) to look angry and putting her hands on her hips.

The masked man crossed his arms and let out a sigh.

"I assure you, I have no intention of troubling him. If at all possible, I was rather hoping he wouldn't be alerted to my being in Japan, even." Really, if anything, he wanted to help. After doing a bit of research, this 'gem of immortality' seemed a lot more dangerous than Layton probably realised.

"That would be easier to believe if it weren't for your.. rather chaotic record."

Descole and and ladies turned to the door, where another small group had gathered.

Ok, I take back what I said about the security.

"You're one to talk, Mr. Dove," He responded, smirking.

Clive scowled, but the man beside him put a hand on his shoulder before he could retort.

"Now, now. We don't want to draw any attention to ourselves," Dimitri said.

A cry tore through the building, causing everyone to jump.

Anton looked down the hall.

"I believe it's too late for that, now..."

He motioned for the others to follow. They all glanced at each other before Descole went after the man. At the end of the hall, they found Henry(Araide) lying on the floor, blood flowing from his head. Claire immediately knelt down and checked for a pulse. After a few seconds, she let out a relieved sigh.

"He's still alive, but in critical condition. It would be best to call the hospital."

Descole fell back from the group and lowered his head. Mr. Ledore certainly wouldn't be up anytime soon... Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a pair of broken handcuffs.

So, it has begun...
