Mafia Round 54

Camera pans around the studio then zooms in on a woman in a simple, black, business dress wearing a big evil grin.

“Hello and welcome to Big Brother 2014!!! I am your host, Hayley, and can I just tell you how EXCITED I am to be hosting this? For those who are not familiar with this program let me go through how this is going to work. First we’ve got 18 victims, I mean, contestants who have signed up this year. Now they will be living in the Big Brother House which has been fitted with dozens of hidden cameras, courtesy of Bush Inc.. These people will be living in isolation for as long as the game is going and will have no contact with the outside world. All they will have is each other, and what Big Brother provides them.

“Who is Big Brother, you ask? Well no one actually knows. He is the master of the house and he constantly watches all the feed from the cameras in the house to ensure no funny business, i.e. rule-breaking, is happening. Once he has found someone to be breaking the rules, he will evict them. This means that they will be ejected from the house and lose the chance to win the major prize on offer. What then, is that major prize? Let’s just say it’s something TO DIE FOR!

“The key to winning Big Brother lies in obeying the rules and being well-liked among the housemates because once a day, each housemate will enter the Nomination Room and vote for their least-liked housemate. The housemate with the most votes WILL be evicted and they’ll have to say buh-bye to their chance of winning the prize.

“Without further ado, let’s cut to the Big Brother House where all our contestants have gathered!”

Camera cuts to a modern living room where 18 people are sitting/standing around a large, white leather sofa talking amongst themselves.

Standing out in the group were one tall, thin boy frantically looking around as if finding somewhere to hide, a pink puffball doing its best trying to eat the table of food (the table as well as the food), a bored-looking girl who was sharpening a set of knives and a mouldy onigiri trying to stay out of sight from the puffball for fear of being eaten.

“Hello housemates!” calls Hayley.

Everyone looks up to the large screen where Hayley is pictured and choruses “Hi Hayley!”

“Welcome to the Big Brother House! So how’s it going so far? What have you learnt about each other already?”

Everyone looked at each other, unsure who should speak for the group when a smartly-dressed young man cleared his throat before saying matter-of-factly in a mild German accent “Thank you Hayley. It has been quite an experience so far meeting this group of people. It has come to my attention that Kirby here,” he gestures to the pink puffball, who had now spotted the onigiri and was eyeing her, “loves to eat anything and everything. Conia, it seems, has been attempting to find a bush to hide in but Big Brother may have removed all of them from the premises. Meme has been entertaining herself with sharpening her favourite set of knives. How she snuck them past security I have absolutely no idea but it seems Big Brother is allowing them, given that she has not been evicted yet. And please excuse me a moment I must save Kleene from Kirby.”

“Oh Bash, relax.” said a beautiful blonde girl as she reaches to give Kirby a big hug. “He’s harmless and just so adorable!”

“Uhh Yuriko, I think he needs to breathe now.” interjected another girl wearing a lab coat and glasses.

The blonde girl let go of the puffball immediately and he waddled across the room where he’d spotted some watermelon. “Oh! Sorry Kirby! Thanks PT. I forget my strength sometimes…” Yuriko said, embarrassed.

“So it looks like you’re all quite well acquainted now. That’s excellent! I have one more thing to go through with you guys before I leave you to your own devices and that is: The rules!

“First rule: Don’t mess with the cameras. They are everywhere, mostly hidden but you may spot one or two but none of you may deliberately obstruct or mess with the wiring of them or it will result in immediate eviction.

“Second rule: Do not leave, or attempt to leave the premises without express permission (ie. eviction).

“Third rule: No communication with the outside world. None of you should have any electronic communication devices like cell phones, tablets anyways due to our security checks but if you are found to have one in your possession, you will be evicted.

“Fourth rule: Housemates must always obey Big Brother. If Big Brother gives you a task, you must complete it or you will be evicted.

“Final rule: Big Brother may add to or change any and all of these rules at his discretion. Just to keep things interesting! That’s all from me, enjoy your stay at the Big Brother house!”

Camera cuts back to the housemates

“So, what should we do now?” asked Yuri, a petite girl with fairy wings.

“I know what to do!” Aly said from behind everyone before throwing a ball of yarn towards Raiden, the tiger cub, watching as he starts to play with it.

“… … …” Stopwatch was speechless.

“Poor Ray.” said pofa.

“I dunno. He seems to be having fun.” Paix added.

“I suppose.” Pofa and Stop shrugged and watched with the rest of the housemates, except for Kirby who was still working on the watermelon.

PREP PHASE START!

Okay I'll be sending out everyone's roles shortly. There may or may not be a BO board (I've PMed Jd- today but no reply so far). So for now, I encourage the BO to either create an IRC chat room or a group PM. If possible, include me on it because I like to see the planning and discussion ^^;

As always, let me know if you have any questions about the roles/rules and I will answer as soon as I can.
