they can't reason out that they were inactive. especially for Team 1 since as you can see the number of posts they had in Day 2, they both had the chance to be online in Day 2 and should have had PMed each other of their gameplan.

i didn't see RoboG55 online in Day 2 at all, or maybe i just missed it. but Meme had posted twice in the topic in Day 2, so at least one of them should be able to send in a vote.

Speaking of investigations, we still need a method of revealing them. I'm just going to throw something out there for now. It's Day 2 so one investigation will have occurred. If everyone lists one "read" on a team (either Spy, Detective or Civilian) then we have some information to work off (we know who people find susp or innocent) and in the case of the Detective's death we can simply reference their previous posts in order to figure out their investigations. Only one person in each team should do it though to prevent misunderstandings.

This is a very dangerous proposition, imo. For one thing, openly telling people that you think team X is the detective team is an invitation for the spy to kill them. And if your read is right, that’s a very, very bad idea. And moreover this will help the spy narrow down who the detective is. For example, anyone who suggests that the team who has the spy role is civilian is obviously not the detective. So, yeah, speaking as a former detective, this sounds like a pretty bad idea.

I honestly didn't mean to put down "Detective" given that the Detective can't even investigate themselves :V.

EDIT: And I wasn't around in the three or so hours running up to phase change so sorry about that.

Right now, I have a feeling on three teams being civilians and would like to propose at least a temporary alliance to give us some direction in our lists. The three KL and I feel comfortable trusting right now:

- Cider & dumytru
- Conan-chandesune & Togop
- shinichi'sapprentice & googleearth

I've already mentioned why Cider & dumytru are almost definitely civilians. Fujiwara also concurred about it, so I think votes should be steered away from that team for the time being. Togop really, really doesn't come off as a Spy, at least not to me. If he does turn out to be on the Spy team, well... Very well played indeed. He's spent a lot of time trying to protect civilian interests.

Lastly, I actually think shinichi'sapprentice & googleearth are mostly civilians. I know some others mentioned shinichi'sapprentice as being suspicious as a result of there being no arrests, but I think what he was really concerned with was a lack of progress. As civilians, we'll always be sitting ducks if the only thing happening is the Spies killing one of us each day with our lists only being whittled down at their behest and not our own.

So, are you guys interested in working together to give this thing some direction? If so, what nominations would you guys like to sound out? Naturally, we're more than open to hearing from everyone, whether they're on the above list or not. These are just the teams we feel comfortable trusting at this stage of the game.

I've been trying to think of some way to break the silence - despite all shinichi'sapprentice and googleearth's ranting, I feel we've made way less progress today than the first day. I hope your post livens things up.

For now, I guess I cant rust dumitru and Cider. I guess the same logic could apply to a lesser extent to Hime-chan and Stopwatch. As for Jd- and KL, the reason I thought you were suspicious was mostly invalidated by Fujiwara and Raifu's death, but I don't have yet reasons to peg you as most probably civillian. As for SA/GE, Conan-chandesune wanted to vote for them last round (and possible this round, too), just ended up not sending it in.

That being said, I would consider the alliance you suggest (though I don't know about CC). However, there's an important question you didn't address: do we need an alliance in the first place. So long as we don't have suspects, I'm OK with the ties continuing, so I'd say there'd be merit in such an alliance only if we have suspects. You didn't suggest any, and I can't either.

I understand where you're coming from, fear not. My core concern is that we're going into Day Four and most people's lists are where they started as far as alive/dead players are concerned. KL and I have a little bit of direction with ours thanks to closely watching the activity in the topic, but definitely not as much as we'd like.

I guess it comes down to what I said earlier: We gotta start somewhere. The Spies aren't going to give themselves away in the topic, so while all of us civilians are bantering about being lost, they'll be able to act as they please without much fear of us getting our act together in time. Right now, we have a few avenues open to us. We can continue not doing anything concrete and just hope that something sticks and the Detective team doesn't die before it's too late. Or, we can try something a little more proactive.

Btw, if anyone decides to do the read thing can I just add that the investigations may be on people who die/are arrested. Not during Day 1, but this last phase. Maybe an n/a option for those unsure or investigations that didn't happen or were on someone who died. Can't type right now or I'd add more.
