The sun quietly rises above the horizon. The city of Beika is still covered in fog, and very few things can be seen. In the midst of this fog, Officer Seijitsu is patrolling the area. As always, he finishes his round by passing the house of Police Inspector Megure. However, this time there's something strange. It looks just as if there'd be something lying in front of his front door...
As Seijitsu moves towards the door through the mist, he notices that the front door isn't closed. Instead, Inspector Megure himself seems to be lying on the sill - with a bullet hole in his forehead...

After the police forces have arrived, it is soon found out that the deceased wasn't Megure, but instead 1412, who had disguised himself as Megure, also known by the name Dus. While this means that the true Megure isn't dead - although he's nowhere to be found either -, it has yet to be explained what happened. After some time, the leading Crime Scene Inspector, Officer Seikaku, turns around to the crowd that gathered and announces:
"It seems to us that all evidence suggests that the deceased, at that time already disguised as Inspector Megure, was shot one single time into the forehead the moment he opened the door of the house. The culprit had most likely waited for him to leave the house right on the door mat and immediately shot him on first opportunity. The current whereabouts of the true Inspector are unknown at the moment; the police is investigating as we are speaking."

However, the crowd seems unsatisfied by this explanation. They gripe and complain, and finally they decide to not wait for the police investigation, but to bring justice to the murderer themselves. Even the Mayor of Beika, xpon, joins them on their way to the gallows...

Uhh... wow.

This is a very bad loss right in night 1. Megure and KID in one person sounds pretty much like the perfect combination...


But - this leads to a serious question:
Since KID+Megure is probably the biggest threat for the BO in the whole game, and since Dus was killed right away during night 1 - did anyone know that he was those roles? Did he tell that he is Megure to anyone?

I mean if such a strong role gets killed right away... it is possible that he was just killed at random. But it the BO knew about him being Megure (or possibly KID) they would probably tried to kill him right away as well.

There is no will, so maybe I am overthinking things...
Still, we have a lot of time until the day is over, enough time to gather all the little facts together. So... who was in contact with Dus before he died?

A Few Notes

First of all, wills. I have received only two wills until now. You should really write some wills, y'know...

Second, sending orders. This night, a certain action sent me into a lot of trouble, as someone sent me h. order very late. This order lacked a critical information (like a PM from a police officer stating "Dus is disguised as Shiratori" without mentioning if that's supposed to be an investigation or an arrest). I decided to choose a moderate way (in this case it'd be not to do anything, neither let the player make a false arrest nor give them information). However, this clearly shows what I've said several times now: SEND TEMPORARY ORDERS! There's no problem with changing an order later on, and an old order will always be better than none!

Last, PMs to the dead ones. As there could be a Matsuda in the game who might be in contact with any of the dead ones, it is FORBIDDEN to PM the dead ones about this Mafia Game.
