Sorry, i thought you asked for my opinion for that hint. :D

Well, couldn´t the apple not also be Vermouth? ???
About the cigar i do wonder now, Gin smokes ciagrettes in canon and not cigars, so it could be a hint, too. False or not - that´s the question. (Shakespear anyone?^g^)
The cigar could also imply that there´s no Anokata and that Gin is in charge of the BO. I rather have that then Anokata and Gin plus some Bourbon/Vodka/vermouth and campers (XD).
Oh, yeah the apple could also be Vermouth.
What is "canon" o_o; Sorry. I've seen it before but wasn't exactly sure.

Well, since things can be true or false, we don't know what the hints are...

Or maybe the tape is for misleading us and nothing is true. But, if they are 5 - 6 it´s a problem as they could have many abilities. :s

James Rye is a little too trusting of the tape.  Suspicious, I say.  Highly suspicious.  In all probability the tape could have been planted by the B.O. and James is trying to lead us astray with his wild accusations.  I've got a fire in my eyes...  LYNCH JAMES RYE!  >:(

so james rye's statement of "the tape may be misleading" is him trusting the tape too much?

Wow.  So... we really have no clear idea of who to lynch.  Not surprising, since it's only Day 1.

Dearest Akonyl.  It was Holmes who said "may be misleading."  As I quoted above.  Maybe you need your eyes checked?  Can't aim properly at someone when your vision is impaired.   :P

I'm sorry, my eyes are only tuned for murder and murder-related objectives. Reading is not one of those objectives.

^Seriously, how can this guy be a townie and still be alive?  If no one votes James Rye with me I'm going for Akonyl.

I'm for voting Akonyl, but I have no reason other than his strange comments (which he always has, alive or dead) and the fact that he made it through the first night.  I don't even have that much for James Rye.

I haven't decided yet. I don't want to lynch an innocent on a wild guess.

Well, then, if someone has some useful information to share, they ought to come forward with it.  Otherwise, we'll either lynch randomly or not at all.

well I mean I'd rather it be xpon than me, but that feels sorta harsh to lynch him when he hasn't even said anything. :P

edit: actually, holmes seems a bit interesting to me, maybe I'll lynch him instead :O

Listen to me people: I'm a detective, which means I can investigate, and I used my investigations to prove James Rye and he is indeed a townie (Of course, I won't reveal my results).
And not only that, James Rye started to move us, the town, which his reasoning. He's a newbie here, and we all know what happens to the guy that tries to get something on Day 1: The BO blames him/her of being suspicious and finally gets lynched. So, let's stop this: Abs. reacted to James Rye reasoning and tried to put suspicion on him. As I've said earlier, James Rye is innocent. Remember last Round: xpon had Det.Tommy who proved his innocence, yet nobody believed him and got lynched. We can't let that happen again!

So, we have to lynch Abs.!
