Why are supremely off-topic posts about lawn chairs and Bee Princess Ako-chan allowed, but talking about Mafia rules gets a "can we please move this conversation to new thread"?
Oh well, you know, everything's allowed in the mafia thread except mafia talk?

But yeah, kind of agreeing here. I don't mind the off-topicness at all (I think it's fun, and honestly I start a lot of it), but I also don't think it's necessary to start and entire other mafia thread to talk about mafia rules when this is probably the most easily accessible thread for mafia anyway.
The only point in favor of making a new thread to talk rules is so that people don't have to sift through 100+ pages of off-topicness just to find one little thing where we talk rules.
As for the banning stuff - I think that it should be judged case by case. Some people are truly giving out hints accidentally (like newbies) or whatever, whereas sometimes it's blatant disregard for the rules. Like last game I made that post that got edited because Abs. though it was a hint to something I knew in-game, when it was just my prediction based on the craziness that had happened since I died. I don't blame Abs. for editing it out, I'm not upset about it or anything - and even if I was, it wouldn't matter cause he was the GM so he had every right to edit it. But stuff like that happens sometimes, when it's purely accidental.
So, there's shouldn't be blanket perma-ban from mafia for stuff like that. Just if someone seems to be someone doing it out of spite for being killed off or whatever.
(And for the record: I don't think much of the "Bee Princess Ako-chan" talk happened in the mafia thread.
