You have played it before?c-square wrote: Be careful not to take this game too seriously! This game can create hurt feelings and resentment very quickly, and has been known to be the cause of many broken friendships. You've been warned.![]()
And yes, I've already issued a warning on this:

Do not hold anything that happens in the game against each other!
This is true, but Diplomacy, for some reason, is a bit worse than Mafia as far as resentment is concerned. There is a reason I stressed this point so much.Kleene Onigiri wrote: Good think most of us have mafia experiance :V Where you also have to trick and lie and where resentment could happen :V

Re: Diplomacy (Fall 1900)
Glad you pointed this out. I have played once before and it didn't go so well. It's a game that works well with a certain type of personality, but very badly with others. Kind of like the game 'Munchkin'.Callid wrote:You have played it before?c-square wrote: Be careful not to take this game too seriously! So be friendly with Them, learn what you can, encourage him to attack Others Country, but don't trust him for a minute and keep your knife sharp!

Re: Diplomacy (Spring 1901)
Begin of Spring 1901
As the winter of 1900 gives way to spring 1901, the trees of Europe again come into leaf and flowers sprout from the earth once more. However, the rulers of the major powers have no time for such banalities, as the capitals are getting more and more lively with secret agents, strong-willed generals and cunning diplomats. The mood is at the verge of tilting over, and the rulers are sure - there is war in the air!Deadlines:

What happened to Russia? Did it lose all its territories already? Or had it secretly invaded all neutral countries?

The colours are similar, but a little different. Russia is white, neutral countries are beige. Look closelySchillok wrote: What happened to Russia? Did it lose all its territories already? Or had it secretly invaded all neutral countries?

Re: Diplomacy (Spring 1901)
Actually it's very easy for me to be cut off from the game and it'd take quite a few phases before I could attack anyone else.
