how it looks to me, at least from the first two (and this is by memory because I don't have my copypasted versions of them handy):
- The person staying with eve is a female role (A) that isn't in the game
- female role A has a connection to another female role B (in the game), yet A is sad because B is staying in the town because of "someone else".
- A is possibly Akemi? Which would mean the only thief is Kid, and that B may be Ai. This is a longshot though. :V

-Eve's mail to the BO mentioned that someone had been "identified" and that "they're helping her" and thus they shouldn't make their top priority keeping them around. Perhaps someone found something out about a member of the BO on night 1 but didn't share it? Or maybe some bo/town lovers type of thing maybe? *shrug*
