The story: when Bronev contacted me about a Protector, I asked him "What do you think about Don Paolo?"
He said that he thinks Don Paolo is 90% BO (after he spoke with somebody that day), and also finds it suspicios that Arianna protected him (or the way she protected him).
What? I don't remember protecting Don Paolo?
Actually, you didn't, but I'm sure that's what he said.
Okay, so it's clear we'll to lynch Don Paolo or Bronev this phase.
Who will you vote? And if anybody has any leads, please tell us.
@Flora: Mafia revealing they were tricked or stolen from is more common than you would think. While with stealing people will sometimes (though probably not that much of the time) keep quiet in order to potentially protect KID, if he is in, if someone is tricked that's a different thing given that it means that Vodka could be in and that role is pretty powerful.
Anyway, from the Mafia side if they've been tricked they know that (in pretty much all instances excluding occasional gambits) a Townie has done it and so not announcing that they've been tricked means that the trickster Townie knows that that they're hiding it and they'll generally put their tricks in their wills which means that if the trickster dies people are going to be asking why they didn't announce it if they would as Town. A few people can get away with not saying because they tend to do that regardless of alignment, but others not so much. Not to mention if there was no kill and someone was tricked, then if they don't say about it the trickster will normally be suspicious about why and often get the word out anyway in order to get them lynched.
With so many votes against Bronev, it's obvious he's going to get killed. I honestly am really confused about it myself.
I decided I'll not vote this phase. My vote shouldn't make any difference, anyway, with so many against Bronev.
I'm sorry for posting with an account that's not in the game, but this needs to be said.
There's been repeated reports of posts in this thread that go against the ground rules of the forum. After checking them, I've approved all the posts to stay the way they are, because none of them carry any infringement, to the forum or the game itself. The reported posts don't follow any pattern against a player or against a situation in particular, they seem rather random, and for any other moderator that's not familiar with the game, it would be even more confusing.
With this said, I ask the players and the members of the forum that are following the game not to use the report feature irresponsibly. Thank you all, let the game continue.
"Hershel... there's something I think you should know."
The Professor was currently sitting at a booth inside a cafe. Across from him were Bronev and Claire, who had asked to meet him there. She had an apologetic look on her face, while he just had his arms crossed, looking somewhere off to the side.
"I'm always willing to listen. Is something wrong?"
Claire glanced over at Bronev and sighed.
"Well... yes. You see, when I... returned to London again, I didn't know if I would be staying. So I... thought it would be best to avoid meeting with you. When I got a letter asking me to help search for something here in Japan, I thought it would be a good chance to start over. And Bronev here was so kind to me that...well...we eventually started dating."
Layton blinked and his head jerked back a bit in surprise, but behind him, a certain man wearing a half-mask choked on his tea, drawing the group's attention. Once he recovered enough to speak, he turned around, placing his hands on the back of the Professor's seat, frowning.
"No."
They stared at him for a moment before Claire stared to laugh.
"Don't worry. We aren't anymore, for many reasons."
"However, there is a concern," Bronev finally spoke up, looking across the table at Layton, "Obviously, no one trusts me... and... they have good reason."
Layton waited for him to continue, but when it seemed like the older man didn't wish to elaborate, he decided to chance a guess.
"Are you, perhaps, one of people out to steal the gem for themselves?"
The man still didn't speak, but he did give a brief nod. Descole leaned over the seat, arms laying crossed, a small smile having replaced the earlier frown.
"And? Why are you suddenly revealing yourself?"
"He thinks that I will also be in danger," Claire said, "He's worried about what would happen if they attacked me like they did Henry. And so... we called you here to tell you that we both plan on leaving."
Layton's face fell a bit, but he wasn't really surprised. If what they were saying was true, both of them were likely in great danger being around everyone else, on top of the unknown threat that attacked those who investigated the jewel in the past.
"...I understand. I would certainly rather see you go than to see either one of you get hurt. We'll let everyone else know."
Claire(Hakuba) and Bronev(Bourbon) both said their thanks and left the cafe. The Professor continued to watch them as they walked away, until a hand on his shoulder reminded him he still wasn't alone.
"They'll be fine."
Descole removed the hand and moved into the vacated spot across from Layton, bringing what was left of his tea with him.
"It's the others you should worry about right now," he warned.
Layton nodded and raised his own cup to his lips. It was true. Those who left were out of danger.
After all, the remaining shadows were only interested in the people who remained in their way.
Summary: Bronev (Bourbon) was lynched, and their lover, Claire (Hakuba) suicided.
Spoiler: Bronev's Will
My Will:
So yep...I survived till *checks thread* D4! Whoa! That's a whole lot more than I thought I would last this time round! Specially after N4!*was completely sure the BO were going to use their kill on h.*
So yea, just so you townies know, I was on your side.
Yep, you heard me well, I was a betrayer.
I'll be honest and tell you that there was a time when my plan was to kill all BO and townies off and then win along my lover...but since I never came up with a good enough plan to do it, I changed my plans around the first phases of the game.
I guess I should probably apologize to you, BO guys for betraying you, but then again you all voted me and therefore send me to my death, so I think we're even now
Also, shame on you BO for killing one of your own
Still speaking to you guys, I really enjoyed the conversation I had with one of you as s/he pretended not to know what was happening and I pretended along that I didn't know what was going to happen either but it was blatantly obvious that we both knew what was going to happen. Dilarious, really, I laughed a lot at it XD
So as a vengeance I could probably tell the townies here who you guys are, but as my lover said, "the BO also deserve the possibility of winning", so I'll just seal my mouth and let you townies, figure out how much I lied on your own.
And since I am speaking about roles and so on I figured that I could post the roles I discovered to be in this game and write them here for you townies to do whatever you want with them. I think its okay to post these since its not like the BO don't know about them so here you go
Roles I found to be in the game:
Yumi(duh)
Kir
and that's all :x
Furthermore I'd like to know at the end of the game who was the genius that asked arianna to make a call on my head,[because as many of you might have noticed I never said I was townie, I said I was on your(town) side] and I could have actually helped you and I would also like to know what the hell made you suspicious of me.
Also, I feel that those who helped me find a protector should know that I was indeed the one that had to kill, but I didn't want a crime on my name so I searched for a protector to protect my victim...anyways, that one worked out well without me ever even finding the damn protector
I also want to thank Flora for helping me in the last moments of the game and try to do some convincing.
So I think that's all...I feel kinda sad for my lover to have been dragged to the graveyard due to me
So yea...Oh! And if you ever feel someone tugging your leg while you're sleeping, that'll be me in my ghost form
A true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved!
~o~
What limits are you referring to? I am just doing my job.
~o~
We do not just back away because something could be dangerous.
~o~
Will I be not putting more danger to the people around me if I don't do anything? And that's no reason one should hide behind a mask.
~o~
I am not forgetting that someone did ask for my help in a letter, so I am not really stealing anyone else's job.

You would still get the crime for attacking, even if the kill didn't work due to protection. If you'd have been tricked however you wouldn't have had the crime. Protecting is like you've held a gun at someone and then someone chased you away, whereas tricking is like you were misdirected on the way to your targets house and eventually gave up.
