By the way, no doubt this will cause controversy, btu I gotta put it out there; anyone else think Toichi seems like a better father than Yuusaku?

Yuusaku: takes his young child along to murder scenes, lets him run back to school in the company of another small child in the middle of the night, leaves son living alone pretty much as soon as he hits his teens.

Toichi: from the looks of it, took his son everywhere, but didn't go to a lot of murder scenes and DIDN'T take him to heists; spent so much time playing with and teaching his son that nearly a decade later he still hasn't gotten over his father's death; left his son an epic batcave full of cool shit, including a CAR. And, y'know, a death sentence if he ever started using any of it, but i'm pretty sure that if we'd ever heard the rest of that tape he would have cautioned Kaito not to do anything stupid.

True, though, if I remember correctly, afterwards Yuusaku told Yukiko not to scold Shinichi since he was only being adventureous and did no real harm.
