In the last faceoff, we saw 356 beat 263 by a fairly narrow margin. This time, we have a marquee matchup of sorts- two very popular 2 hour specials (technically, one 2 hour and one 2.5 hour special):

Basically.... Matsuda v. Akai.

I don't like this decision, but I have to stick with Akai.

Wow, this is really tough ... I really want to vote 345 but 304 gains my vote. Although 345 is excellent and explains a lot of things, plus a lot of "action" and the appearance of Vermouth (L); 304 was intense, shocking ,emotional and breathtaking till the end. Also "Conan-kun ... who are you?", "I will tell you, ... when we go to the other world." (sth like that)

Not an easy decision for at all, but I'm going with 304. It was one of the first subbed episodes I watched and it was, after Desperate Revival, the episode/arc that solidified my obsession with DC. Some of the action is a bit 'stretched', but the same can be said about most BO episodes 345 included. It is has one of (to me any) the most memorable moments in all of DC- the, "I'll tell you... on the other side", which is both profound and (later on) funny.

345 is obviously fantastic, but I have one major quibble (har) with it that pushes it slightly below 304: Ran's involvement comes pretty darn close to invalidating the logic used to not kill her. She comes within a few inches of death or very serious injury and yet Shinichi keeps up the facade almost as though no developments have occurred.

If it were any other special, even Desperate Revival, etc, I would go with 304, because it was really, really good. But I think 345 is better.

I had to think really hard on this one, mostly cause my memory fails but I went with 304 in the end.

Tough choice, but 304 is just unique and Matsuda is one helluva character.

I'm going with 345, though I find 304 excellent.

345 is awesome, but I feel like it'll be a boring contest if 345 just shoots to first place without any competition.

So tough, but... I choose episode 304. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Also, Conan defusing a bomb ftw. xD

345 was one of the first specials I saw, if I remember correctly, right after I started watching the subs. So that one gets my vote just because of that.
