I gotta like girigiri

although I idd just notiec in that one how much of the scenes are reused from the previous openings.

From what I've heard of B'z, I have REALLY liked what I've heard... except for this song. I just never liked it. Truth by Two-Mix is one of my favorites, and very nostalgic for me. Definitely voting for Truth.

I was looking forward to this match. Two great songs I enjoy very much. Hard to choose one...

Ah, who am I kidding. Truth wins it for me. Why?
- Upbeat to the max.
- Animation was really neat (unlike Girigiri Chop using cut-and-paste)
- Ai freakin' Haibara! (okay, maybe not that, but it did catch me by surprise)

Still, the other song is still fantastic.

The animation makes it possible for Truth to win but I still vote for GIRIGIRI!

this is no contest, they even got Conan's VA to sing this song.

Oh god I hated Girigiri

So hard. >.< But because of the clip I have to go with Truth as well. If I look at both cluips and music, Truth wins. B'z is not lucky. They always get lame opening clips. That's not fair. -.-

This match is the hardest for me so far... But still I voted for Truth...

First off... I find it ironic that this is a contest between two groups both consisting of only 2 people, whether that was intentional or not...

That being said... I heard Giri Giri Chop before I saw the episodes of Conan featuring it as the OP, yet never heard of Two-Mix before the Two-Mix episode of Conan... and I liked Giri Giri Chop when I heard it. And considering that I usually go by song entirety, and not what I hear in the opening solely....

Though I like both songs... I have to go with Giri Giri Chop. Though admittedly the animation on the Truth OP was better [considering that Giri Giri was half PV], the song is just... I don't know...

Really... I think its Tak Matsumoto's guitar that really did it for me in this decision. Hard to compete with that. Also... its hard to compete with an album that simply added to the list of #1 hit singles that the B'z seems to just accumulate...

I would also like to note that it was only a matter of time until Takayama Minami did a song for Detective Conan. Most VAs who are musicians seem to do songs for their respective anime, or so it would seem at least.

I love both of these songs dearly, and admittedly, this is one of the less mindblowing B'z singles (which isn't to say I don't love it). As kyuu said above, the guitar that Tak brings to the table here is kind of insane--you just have to see it live to understand how magical it is.
Going by animation, I would say TRUTH has the edge given that it wasn't recycled--but B'z is actually in the girigiri opening, so... Tough call! I'll still go with girigiri, naturally, but I understand people picking TRUTH (as in--my hitmen aren't on the way to your residences just yet, but if ONE loses by the time we get to movie themes, expect a man to come flying through the window at any moment).

By overall song, though, to me there's no question that girigiri is the better tune. Especially the solo... Oh, the solo! So wonderful, I am a fan.

Girigiri Chop for me, just love it.
