or maybe some Ai fans like her because she is an awesome character and couldn't care less about Detective Conan's unimportant 2 dimensional at best relationships that are only worthwhile for humor reasons or the occasional "ahh so cute" moments rather than any emotional attachment to the relationships and are overshadowed anyway by blatantly more interesting things like the BO and cases.

I doubt Ran would end up with a FFX villian btw.
