Shows how loved these two specials are. Gosho did something right writing these plots.
~2 days to go, who will be the one to once again break the tie? hrm...

345, for having the best plot twist in anime history
And that would be...?
Obviously Vermouth being Araide but saying "plot twist" isn't very specific in this case.
but yeah agreed. In any other show that plot twist would have been
1. Not a major part of the plot in any way until the reveal
2. Wouldn't have made any logical sense or
3. Would have been revealed at least a year sooner just for the sake of A.D.D. morons.
Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help me. Psalm 22:11 “Cursed is the one who trusts in man..." Part of Jeremiah 17:5 index.php?topic=4047.msg547789#new <-- My FanArt

Well, I thought it was a strong possibility right from the 'beginning' ie The Mysterious Passenger. Someone on the bus was giving Haibara the heebie jeebies and of the three recurring characters 1) Jodie looked very similar to Vermouth, which is a pretty strong unclue in a mystery show. Similarly, the mysterious evil looking man tends not to be evil in many TV/film mysteries. Obviously I wasn't close to certain, but the revelation wasn't some enormous shock or impossible to foresee twist.

I think what made it a good "twist" was because he wasn't a new character for that scene or whatever. Had some history to lessen suspicions, all the while the Jodie implication is clear, but, at least my thought process on if she was Vermouth or not kept going back and forth, as it is easy to do something that is suspicious that the audience intentionally thinks "this is a mystery, it must not be that then." Why Bourbon is so interesting, to see if Gosho follows the same general format as what happened with Jodie/Vermouth, or have it a whole new direction that is actually different from the implication and counter inferencing we saw come to light in 345.
